you guys are right, there are no more humane and warm frendly beaudiful people than the Albanian people you won't find people with such a great heart that you know, they make you feel like you've been on this graund for 1000 years
I'm going there very soon for the first time. Can't wait. Great video which has given me some hints on what to visit. I've had Raki and love it so will try it there.
Just spent several days in Tirana. Have been traveling through the Balkans for a month but Tirana had the best vibe of any city I visited. The people were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed happier than anywhere else. Maybe they’re just grateful or relieved after all this country has been through! Or maybe they’re just a chill and happy bunch? Whatever the case may be, they were wonderful ❤❤❤
They're none of those. They're spiteful and tired. For tourists it's not that obvious, but the reality is albanians hate one another and can't stand seeing someone else being happy. They're always judging and pointing fingers, highly emotional and lack basic critical thinking skills. Good people have fled the country and what's left is mostly scum.
They leave Tirana for a better life. High living costs and low wages. Also so difficult to find a job, very dificult. But Albania is so beautiful. Enjoy Tirana and the coastal area and historical cities.
@@ErionKuq-Zi That train was amazing thing! Even trees came inside the window. Train is in very bad condition. But it is its own reality which many people do not see in Europe these days. Met only lovely people there, seen amazing view and felt like traveling in time. Many locals even in Elbasan or in Golem do not know that there are still train which operates 3 times a week between Elbasan and Plazh (South-Durrës).
I'll tell you why it's one of your favorites. Cos it relaxes your mind like water as it is a city without color or aroma. A neutral - natural caracter - state of being if you will. I am an albanian from kosovo but our capital and tirana differe a lot because of that.
Lovely to watch both of you in Albania... just a little info.. raki is not believed to be invented by Turks, since the religion that they brought in Balkans doesn't allow that. Is most likely invented by people living in that region.. not that matters much... raki is good in moderation 🍻
The Albanian language is not a language isolate (like Basque), rather it's an Indo-European language (the same language family which English belongs to as well). However, Albanian is its own branch of the Indo-European language family.
It’s getting much more European. More touristy things and more glitzy skyscrapers. Won’t be long before everyone visits Tirana. And then the prices will go up for everything.
for foreigners, as for people living there its hell. one of the most expensive cities in Europe, poor living conditions, laughable salaries the reason tirana is mostly fucked up (except by the government) are the tourists and these people who say "oh look tirana is cheap"
37 euros for two meals and a shot of Raki? That's expensive. Go to other places or read the menu better next time and check it with the bill. On the other side, you will not find people to con you in Tirana or in another places.
Invented by the Turks ?! I never heard that. Turks are Muslim and they strictly prohibit the use of any alcohol, how could it have been invented by the Turks
Albania doesn't have the same history as othee western countries therefore it would be unfair to compare it to them. Up until 1912 Albania was under Ottoman occupation, then Balkan Wars happened, then WW1, then WW2, then communist regime, then 90s transition to democracy and civil war, then the Yugoslav wars. So Albania never had the chance to breath freely and focus in development but it was constantly at a war for survival. Tirana is developing fast but of course it would look poor and ugly compared to western capitals that had colonial slaves working without pay to build all its buildings and roads and churches etc.
Albania had some of the nicest people when I went there
I’m going to Tirana and Vlore in May! I’m very excited ❤
You are welcomed 😊
Please more videos for Albania 🇦🇱 I love this country , good people and sunshine with beaches

That Scotish accent❤…the Albanians like the Scotts use the Kilt=Fustanella and play the Pipe ,just a fact to add to your bucket.

Hahaha the best honest response. You like Tirana because you have been 4 times and maybe you feel part of this city. Its a emotion. Great video
just came from Tirana. My favorite city as well. I tried the old train between Elbasan and Plazh (South-Durrës).
I'm surprised that you used that train
It has been almost 25 years that only homeless people and gypsy communities use that transportation 😅

Turkish raki is completely different drink from balkanik raki. Turkish raki is the same as greek uzo (sweet)!

Jason how much do you say Tirana has changed since you first visited back in 2006?
