Very nicely done, and I tip my hat to your frugality with regards to materials. I too like to make a part out of a bolt from now and then as it is such a handy source of readily available swarf producing metal, cheers!
Looking good, you have a nice lathe which copes well with the intermittent cut when making the crankpin. If folk are wondering what the hole down the shaft is for, and the cross hole, they allow for lubrication of the bearing.
Hi again! I just ordered my 4 jaw chuck, let’s see how it goes as I don’t have a milking machine, but guess I can dome some boring holes with a 4 chuck.... thanks again!
Hi, you can do some milling operations on the lathe if you get a milling attachment for your cross slide, a set of collets for your spindle and put mill cutters in your spindle.
Hello, this diesel engine is interesting, please ask a question this engine works with truck diesel or is it a special preparation. I want to make it, thanks
You make it look easy. Should the crank pin be correct diameter for the drill or reamer on the con rod? I tried and failed to turn the crank pin, but I only have a small lathe. I think you have years of skill. Exellently presented video.
the secrets in the diesel engire is to use pure eter,if dont be pure ,the engire dont start.!for this reason ,i buil one(sparey),and i have start problems, and put a glow plug., and use fuel for glow engires.
Mr M,
A job well done, I'm looking forward to part 3.
Take care
Paul,,
Thanks Paul

Thanks Chris, I was wondering what it was for.
would love to see a part 3
Hope to see this engine continued :)
Sorry Joseph, been very busy recently. Plus my wife is expecting. Baby due end of December. Hopefully I'll find time to get back to the videos soon.
@@mrmechanical3423 just wanted to let you know its a very interesting process and im looking forward to seeing it run :)
Thanks for sharing! can´t wait to see the next video! think is a good point to start for those who are learning lathe and milling process !
Ever end up finishing this? Not sure how to assemble it so was looking forward to that part! lol
I also thought about that man before I saw your video, then I looked on TH-cam, it turns out that someone thought about it long before me.

Where is Part 3?
Will you also be making a mini propeller?
Hi Craig, I've bought the propeller
What's the point of the hole in the crank?
It allows the oily fuel to lubricate the bearing
