No. The same technique for both sides. The top panels can be tough to pop out and sometimes the white clips stay behind. Sometimes I find it easier to remove the middle section first and sometimes not.
Very nice i have a wm statesman and will try and do this 2m... ive replaced the stock speakers with pioneer ones but the sounds not much better any idea why? Also what about parcel shelf speakers?
The front speakers should have been replaced with a component set (mid bass & seperate tweeter) to complete the sound. The shelf speakers are 8” (if fitted) and are low passed. If not, you could fit speakers there, but usually a better result is to add a subwoofer.
@@InstallersAssistant i got tsd65c component speakers in the front doors and tsd65f in the rear doors. I have not put the front tweeters in (hence your video :)) ... i will attempt this tomorrow and take it slow. I actually had someone install an android 10.1 inch touch screen for me and i am trying to save on cost etc... do you think the tweeters will make much difference and or should i try and obtain some 8inch for the parcel shelf or get an amp and mod the speakers in the rear shelf or similar? Thanks for your advice...
@@rqn1998 Yes, definately install the speakers.... and use the crossover provided. If you do not intend to add a sub, then 6x9's on the shelf with an ampo is your best bet. If this is the route you take, deaden the crap out of the shelf or it will vibrate and rattle and piss you off. Do the tweeters, and have a listen before you do anything.
@@InstallersAssistant cheers. Ive managed to get out the piece on left hand side of dash under front windscreen. Looks like now i need a tiny convertor of sorts... its like a t piece connector that goes into the 2 metal slide pieces on the tweeter.... i bought a larger t piece connector first for the door speakers but now i have to find the code or even where i can get for the tweeters....?
@@InstallersAssistant ive just rung a car install company... they said i need to run the tweeters to the midrange using a crossover cable... seems its fairly complex. I cant just plug the tweeter into the old connector from old tweeter or they said i will blow the new tweeter? I know nothing about the install of these so appears ill need to research some more....
Is it different on the drivers side im having trouble??
