This was a splendid video as always! But may I submit a request? If you haven't already, would you mind explaining Gordon Gekko's typical 80's yuppie look? I find it interesting how in the movie Wall Street, he's wearing formal clothing but makes it look so casual-like. And would that look be formal enough for an office? Anyways, take care and have a nice day!
I'm a big fan of collar jewelry. I wore a collar bar with an eyelet collar Winchester shirt for my wedding. The collar pin is my favorite because it has a sense of formality with playfulness that I love in menswear.
More people should wear these accessories. If possible, i would like a video of how to dress well when you are a bit heavy. Since you already made refferences of what works for slimmer frames in other clips. Thank you.
Darn whenever I first saw the notification come from you guys I thought it said color tips instead of collar clips because I've been wanting someone to do a video about color tips that go with bolo ties
its my birthday Today im turning 23 and getting ready to apply for my first job in a couple of weeks if you could make a video on Zara suits pleaseeeeeee!! I love your videos and it would mean a lot to me
The best collar clips don't have springs but allow the collar to slide into a slot. That way, there is little chance of it slipping out. Also collar clips have historically been worn with narrow collars whereby the points of the collar are pulled in as much as possible; this radically changes the shape of the collar when worn, making for a very unique look.
It's sad to see this channel slowly loses its traction. It was once a huge and quite influential channel, that would rack up millions of views. I hope you guys once again start to get more viewership.
Collar clips are so cool and I use them every now and then. But I think they fit only with traditional collar (spear point and so on...) not with wide spread or cut away.
What would you think about doing a few videos on Cowboy/Western wear? They aren't "classic" per se in the sense of the channel. However, I think there are definitely some classy elements in the style. (Some are just straight ostentatious and look very poor) Cowboy hats and boots especially, and heavy vests. A lot of true cowboys wear very similar clothes for work and for dress, which I think is a really interesting style that connects them with their roots in the land and how life revolves around their work on a ranch and/or farm. Edit: Of course, for business or funerals or weddings they wear blazers or suits but a cowboy hat is considered a formal hat that can be worn for such occasions. Cowboy boots are similar. So I thought it would be really interesting to see how to style an outfit around a cowboy hat and boots, as that is something quite a few people in rural areas do and is something I would personally do.
Loki27. While it's nearly a year since I have been looking at the shirts available to go with the new suits that I bought last Xmas, David Jones and Myer stores in Melbourne Australia carry a vast range. As there are only ten cities in the USA larger than Melbourne you should be able to find the collar style you are looking for on their online shopping sites. As online shopping sites are new to Australian Retail you may find that the sites are not as easy to use as an American site. But they are very reputable department stores. Phil.
I shamelessly wear collar clips without a tie. I started a trend at work. Ask details or critical questions if you please, I'll answer them elaborately and truthfully, completely and thoughtful.
I really want to buy your tie clip in platinum. I went to your site and sadly found the shipping fee to Taiwan is $80+. For a $30 tie clip that is a little steep. Is there any way to ship it in a light envelope to decrease shipping cost? I have shipped a used Rolex to the US before and it costs me around $20 for a 4 day delivery. I really would like to buy one. Thanks! 🙄
I'm quite sad there is no bronze metal (copper bronze rather than gilded bronze) accesories sold at fort Belvedere. Even if it is a less formal metal because an alloy, it remains my favourite, due to the fact I almost exclusively wear brown and it matches nicely that colour.
An interesting new presentation, but too fussy, and far too busy looking when the tie knot is the dominant feature. But I am old fashioned. Stay well. Phil.
Hello Gentleman's Gazette , can you try the website "Hockerty". You can make a tailored suit with many fabrics and styles. Maybe I need an opinion of you, if it´s serios enough.
Collar clips, pins and bars should *only* be worn with long narrow collars i.e. spearpoint. Preston’s shirt looks weird. A spread collar isn’t going anywhere - the clip is completely redundant and therefore it is mere affectation. Even a point collar doesn’t look good with these accessories. Perhaps ironically the only widely available modern shirt style with points long enough to need a clip is a button collar. Go figure.
I know that the current world situation has refocused everyone's thinking, but it really does seem that this is a video solely made to promote a new product that you have, which is not why I subscribe to GG. I look forward to you getting back to real advice and reviews.
This is flat out my favorite TH-cam channel

Man.. that's ive subscribed you. You guys can make videos on these small things which every one underestimate. It's amazing keep it up

Nice vid and have utilized collar bars/clips on occasion. They provide your overall look with that special touch that can set you apart.
Peircings and jewlery for your shirts. 😄👏🖤

I have been watching your videos and I love your videos. however hope that you will consider making a video reviewing Zara suits.
yea if you could please make a video on Zara suits that would be great
I don't think Rafael has made a video on that but would love to see it
its my birthday Today im turning 23 and getting ready to apply for my first job in a couple of weeks if you could make a video on Zara suits pleaseeeeeee!! I love your videos and it would mean a lot to me
Wow guys I didn’t know so many people felt the same way thank you everyone
Loved the two "business" looks at the end.
This is the video I have been looking for a long time on TH-cam.
Thank you Gentleman's gazette.😁😁
Haven’t worn my collar pins in a VERY long time. Thanks for this content Preston...I’m gonna roll them out this week!
It is very cool accesory. Very vintage but also can be very cool and modern.
I needed this video!
Thank you very much!
Looking sharp as always Preston! Great and informative video. Thanks :)
Fabulous ! I am really a fan in collar clips !! This one is so useful and practical !
Thanks. I've been thinking about trying a collar pin.
REG CROWDER What stops you? Just give it a try, you're gonna be satisfied!
Looking forward to receiving my Fort Belvedere Large Collar Clip in Rose Gold soon & implementing it in my wardrobe mix!
Very informative
Great video, I consider colar clips and bars as very dapper piece of jewelry, specially if it is styled correctly.
I loved the outfit inspirations at the end, didn't expect it. Good video Gents, enjoyed watching it!
I like this, and it's amazing that you made this video just as I was going to look for a collar clip!
Great video.
Nice video. I appreciate the work you put into it.
I wear collar bars with my shirts and have for 15 years they are good stuff

I like your video's so much I'm still looking for my style 😊
Thanks Preston
Awesome. I have wanted to know about this. Thank you very much.
Most Waited from you, thanks
13:28 I believe you forgot to mention “How to wear the colour purple” here 😁
Great video as always
video please on how to combine tie with cardigan ))
Collar clips are so cool and I use them every now and then. But I think they fit only with traditional collar (spear point and so on...) not with wide spread or cut away.
you should make a video about buttons. which kind of buttons are appropriate to which garment and so on...
I've been wearing collar clips since I saw it on Boardwalk Empire. It has poked the curiosity of almost everyone I talked to.
Oh man I was curious bout this recently
Nice video

Hmm.stylish tv shows 😏 i'll check em out too preston.
I would like to buy some of your shirt collar appendages
I personally find miss matching metals if they have significant distance between them seems to work also
Is it possible to alter pre existing shirts to have pin holes for collar bars?
Good vid
Great
can someone wear both tie clip & collar bar? if yes, should they be the same colour and finish? im afraid it can be over-accessorizing.
Hey, I really like this product, only the shipping to the Netherlands is very expensive. Is there an way to ship it cheaper or buy it elsewhere?
I really wish y’all sold shirts on Fort Belvedere, especially French cuff ones with collar pin holes. Those are so hard to find.
I will have to buy 7 of these clips from fort b.
I really wish Fort Belvedere products were more available in Europe.
Would be great to know where to find collar bar shirts with holes in the collar. They’re so hard to find.

Could you do a video on wearing untucked shirts?

where can i get a shirt for the collar bars?

Can I wear a collar bar with a ruche tie?

Preston is amazing reminds me of Clark Kent
Can you wear a collar grip and a normal tie clip or is this too much jewellery?
I have Mr Rogers Cosplay. I’m going to say thank you Gentleman’s Gazette for showing respect on Mr. Rogers. It’s Very well appreciated! 11:47
Do an episode on fred Rodgers
.
Preston wearing a collar clip with a cutaway collar looks very strange.
He doesn't seem to be wearing any "COLLAR JEWELRY".
Looks like Howard Hamlin from Better Call Saul
Some collar clips slip over the seam and do not come loose, since they lack the hinge of your design
An interesting new presentation, but too fussy, and far too busy looking when the tie knot is the dominant feature. But I am old fashioned. Stay well. Phil.
You mentioned the collar bar goes through a specialty hole. Why doesn't the collar pin go through the same hole?
@@user-js2dr9gv1u yes I see that and thank you

Blink, please blink
Collar clips are common, gentlemen do not wear them.
Who wears a collar clip with a spread collar? Looks really really silly.

IMHO the collar on your shirt is way to wide for a collar clip. looks bad. suprised you are showing it.

How is this not a review? He is talking about the history of collar accessories and how they can be worn.
Haha "new product."
@Louis ADVENIER Yeah it's not like they're advertising for Teige Hanley.
@@user-js2dr9gv1u ha, you got me!
