Hey THANK YOU! You are awesome. Me and my husband are moving across the country with only what we could fit into our haundi elantra. Thats 5 days of drive. And get this we have 2 girls. 4 and 1 year. So we plan to use a roof top rack and vacuum bags to utilize as much space as possible. Iv been looking everywhere for tips so your tips helped alot.

Best of luck to you Valerie. Above all else, don't forget to enjoy the journey. We have so many fond memories of our wild cross country move (fond now, but didn't feel so fond at the time). You will do great, glad the tips could be of assistance.

I’m from Salem Oregon and I can say it’s a beautiful place. I can say it was great growing up there.

I’m happy that I came across this video as I’m moving to the PNW in a few months and getting anxiety about it. Originally, I was thinking to go through Missouri/Nebraska/Wyoming/Idaho, but after hearing you mention that you went west to Denver and then to Boise, made me rethink my route. I am definitely nervous about traveling through the wintry weather.

I think this is so inspiring! My family (Husband, 9 year old Son, and 2 dogs) and I have been recently starting our research and preparations for our move! I want to prepare myself and belongings ect.
    Thank you for your suggestions!

Glad I can be a resource to you. Good luck, and just remember it will work out if it is meant to be. The entire process can be quite stressful but the adventure is great. My one regret and I would encourage you to look into this, is staying longer in places you want to see along the way and making it a trip in and of itself. Feel free to reach out if you need any specific help or have questions.

Why did you decide to move from amazing Florida to the PNW?

Since this move occurred we moved to a very rural place and now frequently visit Florida also. I would NOT recommend moving to the PNW now.

I just moved from a house to an apartment in the same town. A year from now, I hope to move to a house abroad. I'm renting most of my furniture now, but there are still many items, both large and small, which will have to go. I'd like to sell them, but I don't know how.
