Also sorry for the inconsistencies in rulesets, I kept forgetting to set them before the match lmao. You can toggle double seeker & 5 min timer on and off.

So let me get this straight Troy. At 23:50 you say you can escape by shrooming under the sign, then a whole 7 seconds later you watch Snowie fail to go under that very sign, then you are surprised 5 seconds after that when you shroom and fail to go under the sign? LOL.

This game mode seems epic, some of these courses are gonna be insane for the hiders, like Bowser’s Castle and Coconut Mall.

It’d be cool if when there is 1/2 minutes left the minimaps appear and everyone has to start running away while the seeker tries to catch as many people as possible with the remaining time
What an insane mod, I can only image what it would feel like when you’re just barely out of sight from the seeker and you hear the star theme for a minute before it finally goes away lol

A small range around the seeker would be nice, because it can be really annoying when the players turn around the whole time and pass u on your side with a minimal distance.
finally a game mode where there's a REASON to pick anyone but funky kong lol
When Hide and Seek gets ported to Mario Kart Wii, you know you're in for a treat.
We need a vehicle tier list for this.
As for stats, I feel like the order is this:
Off road: You need off road to access some of the best hiding spots and the seeker needs to be able to chase people through the off road.
Acceleration: Important if you're found to get to full speed quickly
Handling: Needed to make a quick maneuver if needed
Speed: Allows you to escape on straightaway
Drift: Needed for maneuverability; however, not as fast as handling
Mini Turbo: Boosts speed stat
Weight: Pretty much useless
Quacker is the best I suppose. Magikruiser and Dolphin Dasher are also good.
Toadette magikruiser. Which is also my main.
After further thought, switch handling and drift. Drift is more important; however, handling is certainly not useless, unlike normal mario kart.
It's ironic that the different vehicles are dramatically more balanced for a modded gamemode than the actual game.
Nintendo should actually add something like this.

Day 3: Flounderfest idea: Troy and Nick pick a team each for a 6v6. Nick and Troy both have separate discord calls for their teams and play like a normal 6v6. It would give a reason to watch both videos because it would be very different

Cool idea, but it wouldn't be fair because there'd be a skill difference, if only a small one, between the two teams
14:15 I think the fact that your hiding spot isn't that amazing is why it's a good spot. The seeker might think to check the best hiding spots, but might not bother for every bush.

I rate your hiding spot as a 9.5/10, just because you got caught at the end. My reccomendation is that rarely (like 2 or 3 in every game), a user can get a star themselves and can evade the chasers easier (mainly on tracks like Luigi Raceway and Yoshi Falls).
maybe with like 45 sec left the hiders can have like the mini map so that you would need to move

This is like a childhood dream; being able to explore the courses to your own leisure and see everything. One of my favorite things to do has always been explore the courses! Now you get more freedom :P
There's an exploration mod that basically makes everything drivable, including walls, ceilings and out-of-bounds areas. It allows ultimate exploration of the tracks.
That's pretty neat! Might check it out somtime.

Imagine playing this in heart of china. The time limit should be at least 20 minutes to make it fair for the seekers

Dude this is so sick. I have thought about this being a thing. In my opinion you should get the off-road bonus permanently when seeker but other than that, it’s awesome.

The scoring system correlates to time left on the timer. In a ten minute game, for every minute you survive you get a point, and in five minute games, it is doubled (that’s why you got nine points in Mario Circuit. You survived just over 4 and a half minutes).

The thing is all the spots that are "good" will soon become useless because everyone expects them,
While that's true, it's very easy to loose someone during a chase sequence and sneak off to a good spot haha.
That's how the meta evolves
It's crazy that this game has been out so long and the community is still finding new ways to bring life back to it

14:00 - 7/10. Very well concealed, but the Chain Chomp was giving your general location away (I think).
Imagine this game mode but when you got caught you also became a seeker.
This is actually an option the host can turn on or off, it's very scary when it's one guy trying to run from like 10 seekers
