Honestly, a lot of Dreamcast games can be seen as underrated, considering that the system itself is often regarded as *THE* most underrated video game console of all time, and for good reason.

@@GoodGamer360 As a fan of both, the Vita is to handhelds what the Dreamcast is to home consoles in terms of being underrated at the time they were released. Heck, tons of reviewers seem to automatically grade games notably more harshly just for being on the Vita.

I really wish Sega had stuck it out with the Dreamcast. It was just beginning to get it's footing when they announced they were going to pull the plug which really put the nail in the coffin.
It was nice getting a Dreamcast for $50 at the local Media Play.....but yeah. I miss grind sessions on PSO, jamming out while driving in Crazy Taxi 2, force feeding other players cats in Chuchu and mastering every character in Power Stone. I’m getting bummed out, I still have the old Dreamcast packed up in a box but it hasn’t worked in years.
It does have more than 100+ really awesome games that are still very playable. I can't think of more than 25 PS2 games that i would still play. (There are many games on the PS2 that are better on other systems)
And the Dreamcast is still the best console to play more than 60 arcade games because 50+ of them were Sega Naomi arcade hardware games that are 85-100% arcade perfect.
And for those who owned a Dreamcast got to experience one of the greatest 2 years in gaming history because it was ahead of it's time, unique and different in many ways, more classic games than any gamer could have digested within that 2 years, and you were likely the only one out of your group of friends who owned one, so it made it even more special when they got to experience Shenmue and tons of other games no one else couldn't

Sony and Microsoft would've needed to fork over half of their financial cash flow assets to Segs without expecting anything in return for Sega to have been able to continue sticking it out with the Dreamcast!

I also recommend Tech Romancer, yet another contribution from Capcom. This is a 3D anime-inspired fighter with a cool branching story mode and features VMU mini-games which makes unlocking content more fun. Originally an arcade game, the DC port was given a graphical boost and is much better looking than the OG (think like Soul Calibur).
Agree, one of the best DC game. There's no other game on other platforms like this one
Sad I didn’t see the PowerStone series on here :( powerstone on the dream cast was what made my childhood so many memories with that game
I think it was omitted as its a well known and well rated game. It features in other top game reviews.

Great and interesting games that I had no idea even existed for the Dreamcast really have me wanting to go out and buy them. Maken X and EGG take the cake for me wanting to go out and buy a copy of them, but they're fairly expensive games nowadays. I know can just burn and play the game, but I'm at the age I want the official version of the games.
Rayman 2 is often a game that doesn't seem to ever be mentioned.

Rayman 2 is a gem! Completed it for the first time in my old Dreamcast
Headhunter is a great Dreamcast game that isn't that well known. It came out in November 2001 late into the Dreamcast's run and was only released in Europe. It still holds up pretty good but at the time it was awesome. It even had a bit of an open world to it where you would drive your motorcycle around town to the next location.
Great list. I'd like to point out one that nobody talks about. Star Lancer.
This game is one of the best graphically on the console bar none, second only to Soul Calibur. But the gameplay, once you learn it oh my God it's insane. Play it in first person camera more for the full experience.

Tried Zombie Revenge today and it's a Fantastic Game

I was 15 years old and it was passed the dreamcast days, but I had maken x from a used shop. Got to play it a few days. My mom came in my room while I wasn't home. So that m for mature and did something with it. Who knows what. Still mad
I was thinking EGG and Maken X! Also Silver is a good choice but I was thinking Record of Lodoss War! 😎 Plus I was also thinking Confidential Mission and StarLancer! 🤩
My First turn based RPG was on dreamcast called Evolution, i remember being so confused on what to when I was presented with choices Move, Attack and defend

Zombie Revenge seems like a prototype for games like Devil May Cry.
I remember Zombie Revenge, it was a spin off of their House of Dead games, except it was a fighter/shooter. The story presentation was like an 70s-80s campy B movie. Great stuff!.
I still play the Evolution games from time to time. You can really tell from the amount of flavour text alone that this series had a LOT of love put into it. At the very least in terms of the world and story. The amount of throwaway lines in the airport where your plane is alone is kind of staggering. Not to mention that if you take the time to go looking for that flavour text, there's a good chance you'll find a decent amount of items, too.
I am a HUGE fan of Skies of Arcadia. Do you think I would enjoy the Evolution games? It looks like they have kind of a similar graphic style. Gameplay wise are they very similar?

@@usmanchughtai1751 Not in high demand I guess, but still you can get almost anything on eBay. At release it was almost nowhere to be found, same goes for Moho. Price had risen since release.

The idea of a decent DC emulator on Vita is amazing. But 4 cpu cores at 500 mhz... I don't think we'll ever see any 3d polygon game running full speed.

gundam side story. Super sleeper. Nobody talks about it but i played a ton of it when it came out.
The team so needed work in that game but it was the best gundam game out for awhile
Dreamcast is the best, on par with the New Geo AES and the cutest of them all, like the Color Classic, is the japanese PC-Engine.

Underrated is a very difficult term. Underrated by whom? If you review something, can't you rate it any way you think is correct? What was the average rating for these games and what do you think would be more correct? Not to slam your video, there are some really nice games in it and you present it well. Infogrames, is pronounced more like Infogramme, the S is silent.
Maybe, because no one know about those games, is like a game can receive a 8 out of 10 but no many know their existence, like vanillaware for example, their games are amazing but are underated because they aren't popular like nier automata, guilty gear or hollow knight and cuphead
Underated games for the dreamcast are many, because it wasn't that popular like the ps2, there alot of games that need some recognition

These days just download it. Steamcast needs no mod,it uses a swap disc...ez pz........when a rom is this old,you so are not hurting the now defunct and completely rebuilt sega who rarely has anything good now.

Just don't play the port of Evolution 1/2 on the Gamecube. It's horrid.
Poor character design, bad humour, idiotic gameplay, grim atmosphere, Zombie Revenge is to House of the Dead what Sonic Drift 2 is to Sonic The Hedgehog, a total embarassment. I highly highy don't recommend Zombie Revenge. If you're looking for a good shooter, try Millennium Soldiers Expendable by Rage Software or even Cannon Spike by Capcom.

Wasn't the Dreamcast really bad at 3D (alot or even most games were in 2D), or at least had its problems (just like Saturn) wich probably was a big reason it got pulled? Sonic adventure games, for example, have some really strange camera issues (wich was fixed in that ported GC(?) release), played more like 2.5D than real 3D.
Also, I guess most games were shit... Since all "top 10 lists" pretty much consist of the very same games, every damn time.
No? Who told you most Dreamcast games were 2D? The Dreamcast was very good at 3D.
Maybe you should actually play the games instead of spreading misinformation.
