    I can completely relate to the non-scale victories... I fly for work and until I lost significant weight I could not eat on a plane as I could not put the tray down to set the food. Now I can actually get the tray down and use it. Huge victory.

    Carla, I’m so glad I found you on the Internet. I have lost 99 lbs over the last 3 years, but still have at least another 120 to go. My scale is my regular monitor for progress, because I can’t see any changes. I know my face is thinner, but with all the wrinkles, I don’t like it much.
    I really didn’t notice much in the way of body changes (wish I had measured too). Until my friends started commenting that my shirts were getting too big. Also had two pairs of slacks I wore the most, but when I would put my phone in one pocket, and my wallet in the other, if I bent over, then stood up, the slacks wouldn’t follow me back to standing position. Happened twice in public 😳.
    They just didn’t look or feel that big to me when I would get dressed. At Christmas, a dear friend bought me 3 pairs of pants in a size 2x. It was a very kind gesture, but I thought “I’ll never get into those, they’re way too small for me!” Until one day, I needed to do laundry, so decided to wear a new pair just in the house, assuming they’d look hideous.
    I stepped into one leg, bracing myself to wrestle the pants up my enormous thighs, hips, & bum. But the pants just slid right on! I thought, oh, these slacks must have been mis-labeled (or they were clown pants 🤡.) Then I tried on the other 2 pair and they fit too! All three pairs fit. Then and only then did I believe I must be at least a little smaller. When it came time to move, I gave away all my biggest clothes.
    I have only lost 2 pounds since I moved, because of stress levels and eating poorly. I have had a bad contractor renovating my condo, and he had been lying and gaslighting for 3 months! In that time, I compromised on all the changes I wanted to make supposedly for supply chain issues, and only purchased items already in stock. Despite all those accommodations, he only completed HALF of what he promised to do in 3 weeks. Now, he has ghosted me. So, now I need to get back on track! Wish me luck!

    Carla, you inspired me to join body slims this past session. While I am still on a cane, I have osteoporosis- so I can't do the exercise component but I did lose 12 pounds and over 20 inches off my body. I have signed up again and bought a treadmill, so I can begin to exercise in a controlled environment. Still have 30 pounds to go.🌹

      @@HalfofCarla Thanks for your encouragement! Wanted to let others know who have limitations that they could still do the program at their own rate. As Ger says, he can't tell us when we will have the results we want, but it will happen if one is consistent.

    Thank you Carla for your videos. I find them very interesting and help me to keep on track. I've lost 2 stone with another 3 to go and I know that feeling of being ' stuck ' . I used to avoid walking anywhere, using my bike instead. I can now take my elderly dog out for 20 min walk . - real progress . Getting my tape measure out. I did waist and hips at the start - will add more . ❤ 💪 🚲 ❤

    Love these measurements! I started taking pics in the same outfit in the bathroom to measure progress. But I hadn't thought of all of these others!! I'll be using a yard stick soon as I find a pair of jeans I want to fit!!! I know a NSV for me will be going to the amusement park and being able to ride EVERYTHING with my kids and not worry about being over the limit. I had to get off of a ride once and was humiliated. I have not been back since. But I want to go next summer with my family and enjoy every minute. That is a HUGE motivator for me! Thanks so much for making these videos for us. I have almost as much weight to lose as you did and watching you is so encouraging!!

    Excellent points! As a woman who is very sensitive to salt, I see 3-5 lbs. increase on the scale the morning after eating commercial salad dressings ( which have a lot of sodium) Most processed foods have tons of salt~ so I’m trying to “eat fresh” from now on.

    I really felt the part of worrying about not fitting into chairs. The last year or so when we go somewhere in public I have anxiety about where they will seat us, if the chairs have arms, if the booth has enough room or has it been scooted to close or doesn't move. It's so embarrassing to have to ask for a different table with more room, Thank you for this video, I'm in my 3rd week of my weight loss journey and you are an inspirition. I'm seriously thinking about throwing my scale away and just weight in when I have dr. appointments, I can't stay off of it for some reason at home and I get overwhelmed.

    I’m so glad I found you here. You are so right about the scale not being the only measure of your weight loss. I don’t really have a number on how much I want/need to lose I’m guessing around 50 pounds, for me me it’s more about how my body looks and how I feel.

    Great information thank you I'm 7pounds down , starting the April program soon and looking forward to not being on my own and having accountability, really worried about the walking part as just last week I injured my knee , now both are snaping , really want to start the walking ,but afraid to do more damage 😟

      I didn’t Stephanie, I ate carbs the entire way through. I tried to eat more “useful” carbs like legumes rather than bread, but I also love a packet of low cal chips/crisps (depending on what country you’re from) and popcorn!
