It's so awesome to see how far this game has evolved. I was 12 when TM first released, I remember building skateparks in the Desert environment with my friends and it led to Nadeo adding the stunt mode in a few sequels. Now it's such a clean-looking professional game. Those devs are amazing.
You would think Ubisoft would get a brain and let their devs just make their game good. Every single time Ubi has let up off their devs and don't force them to do shit, a game always gets better. Hell, half the shit people hate about Trackmania is the forced Ubisoft stuff.
@@kintsugittv2537 Yeah absolutely. Before Ubisoft, Nadeo had planned QuestMania. An RPG with a level editor just like TM would have been almost as big as Skyrim. Instead we got a very slimmed down ShootMania and a Trackmania 2 that instantly became an afterthought.
Ultimately you are always going to have a problem because of complete isolation. Many drivers don't leave their team or when they do they don't move around much during their primes, so you're not comparing the same numbers when looking at a ferrari vs a mclaren driver. Maybe using weight for the quality of car could help, like the era/run environment adjusted scores of plus stats in baseball? Ultimately I think to separate how good a driver or car is, you'll have to do some manual fiddling and create some modifiers based on the drivers who switch teams during eras where both teams' cars seemed to stay similarly competitive. Whatever you do, to make this type of analysis meaningful you have to isolate the advantage that you get from a better car and compare drivers to everyone they're racing against. But once you do that you'll need to establish a new set of formulas that predict a car's expected result in a race and give out points according to where they land relative to that, AND make adjustments for DNFs (depending not just on how many cars don't finish but also the strength of the cars that DNF). TL;DR this would be a very tough challenge for a statistics major, and impossible for anyone else.
The production in general is really sick, but I honestly find it pretty hard to watch because the huge player portraits in the middle of the screen drawing my eye when i want to just watch the driving
I'm waiting to see the WR on "Centuries" map. you put that much commitment into it just to cancel RMS, do it bro, definitive hardcore FS map to chase👊👊
So, we put the team portraits on the map of BIG in blue and their car skins are blue. G1 has red portraits and skins. So let's colour BIG red on the overlays and G1 blue! xD
Aslong as there is pontential internet ad/disadvantage or Server ad/disadvantage, these "internet only" tournaments are not fair. Play at LAN if you want to decide whos the best.
Can anybody make a competition for Wirtual where he has to drive a map blindfolded and has to hear a song which acts as a direction compass like 2 diff sounds for left and right and he has to get a author time just with that. Would love to see it !^^
I'm new to trackmania, what do they mean when they say a maps "identity" 🥹 is it just like the key skills it requires to complete it? Sorry for the probably dumb question.
a map has identity if it has the same type of tricks in the whole map, or at least some consistency in the terrains that it uses, a map with no identity would include every car and every terrain mixed like a soup, without any cohesion

I think it's the first time I actually like esport. I would never have thought Trackmania would be the game to do it for me.
same tbh
Frostys WR got melted by about 1.5 sec. this stream.
I wish Wirtual and Jnic could cast all the tm tournaments together, they're such an amazing combo
Those boy band puns are top tier 😂
Dude you fucking killed me with the car sounds you guys! 22:50

Really? It seems like they hate each other. It felt like they were both trying really hard not to fight for the sake of the game.

Great job! Only I can't get over the fact that BIG doesn't stand for Binkss+Gwen.
BIG is Massa and GranaDy, Binkss and Gwen are Gamers First
@@evilduckling3469 That's the point. BIG just looks like it could've been BI for Binkss and G for Gwen.
@@Philafxs Oh okay, I get it

I restarted my computer and Firefox Auto-Started and apparently watched 4 hours of your videos. So, you're welcome.
Just to make sure I'm not missing anything: these are all matches that were already posted on the Trackmania World Tour channel, right?
yes
Wirtual sinlge handedly bringing in more views to TMGL than Nadeo

1:38:26 : Second match

The only reason I watch this is because of Wirtual and jnic
We need more content. More events and maybe a new mode.

They aren't on the track together so ping makes no difference. The time is the only thing that is tracked and that is not affected by ping.
