- Modifying a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 190E into an Evo 2 for under $20,000. The question is can I do it before June 7th when I set off for Wek Fest Seattle and DRIVEN Car Show Vancouver.

I mean the man is getting cooked in the comments under nearly every video, but it seemed like he didnt buy the cheapest kit and just got unlucky on the quality. Plenty of youtubers dont do the work themselves and just pay somebody to do it, I am just happy I can see skillful people like Jason work. No shame getting the bodykit done profesionally. Only weird thing is he didnt start with maintenance first, but hopefully he will do it before he actually starts travelling

@@saikoshizzle yes I know it was a joke, but I thought it was a dig in a joking way at him not making much work on the car, which people do under his videos a lot but I misjudged your comment
@@mexibobor i can see where you're coming from reading my comment back. But no, i know the struggles of building a car too well. And i haven't build one car alone. It's always crap to work on and when its done, you Just forget about all that and start a new project. I hope he still sees the light, and not just the deadline or the finances.

Bruhhh your videos have very little progress not gonna lie like at this point other youtubers would have been done with 80% of the car but i guess that’s the price of being a small youtuber eventually you will grow and be more efficient and talented. Good luck, man❤
Give him more money then. Most of his money went on the kit.
As a small youtuber myself, you have to pay for EVERYTHING. You make so little until the views are mega, so everything is paid out of pocket. It's all in the hope that one day it'll come that the channel will pay for more, but until then it's hard
In my eyes he’s being real about the process, not everyone shows each step. Restoring a car takes a lot of time, not to mention he’s probably not priority at the shop…

I mean tbh i am watching the videos for my own education to see how Jasonis doing the work. How so you get the sense of acomplishment and that good feeling if you have done nothing to get the car to where you want it

Id have skimmed the whole surface of the bumpers with filler and blocked back straight, seems more work but way quicker than sanding and filling all the little lows seperately. Id also be taking moulds of the primed items and banging out your own kits!

What kind of engine are are you plannng to install?
I dont know but it would make sense yo keep it like that bc the 190e has a insanly good engine not very powerful but it will last a lifetime the 190e even has a world record back in the day for driving the most time non stop, so i think he will just modify the engine he has now but we will see
@benjaminvandecruys7116 it was the 2.3-16 that set those records @ Nardo. This is the 2.3-8 valve. Still a decent engine, but not the record setting one.
can you tell me how much you paid for that kit ?.. i want to do it but man the work that's need to be done plus the purchase is a no go for me..
Go to episode 1. He way over paid. Its a cheap kit made badly.

@@OriginGamersFR dont get any kit made in asia. Usually have to use more fibreglass and time to strengthen the kit.

so if you send your car for work, The mechanic who fixes it gets your car?
@@michaelj7069the point is I don’t think he’s paying Jason for all the hours of extra labour needed to get the pos body kit to work.

Great body work, but if that was my money for such a kit I would want 75% refund. Due to how much money was spent in correcting it... and I'm not talking about bondo, filler & primer.
Cant wait to see it done though.
After watching youre vids you settled a great debate with my 190e crew here in montreal quebec , HEDGEHOGS KITS ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
Considering they some what compensated you , imagine the rest of the merchants who got that batch of kit...

the bodykit you bought is worthless. Probably cost you more to fix it than it did to buy it. As friendly as you seem this is taking the piss. Imagine how many other people will be scammed by this and you'll still do nothing. I'd be demanding my money back & taking legal action. Disgraceful.
Jason is cool and super helpful but he's just repairing a kit that should have been ready to fit!
Long story very short its a cheap kit made with as little fibreglass as possibile. All the cheap kits do.
Me thinks car wont be ready by early june. Late maybe?
Get some money back from the body kit they jipped you bro.
