What wheel did they go with? I only ask because you cannot legally run 285/70R19.5 on the factory wheel. The 285s require a wheel that is at least 7.5 inches wide (265s are 6.75 or 7.5 wide). This is a hard requirement because it is a commercial tire with a commercial style bead. F600 wheels are 6.75 inches wide and are a good option to take a F450 up to 265/70R19.5.
@Yeeto767 The problem is that they are out of manufacturers spec so if you do have an issue you have opened yourself up to a lot of liability. If they did use the correct (19.5x7.5) wheel then I want to know where they got it since I want to run 285s on my F450. If I can't find the 7.5s then I'm limited to 265/70R19.5.
The factory wheel is 19.5.. those wheels on the black truck look like the 19.5 alloy wheel. If those tires are 285 70 18, what wheel is being used as they will need to be a ten lug.
There are a couple of problems with these 35” tires on this 550 though…any flexing on uneven terrain, especially while steering, will likely causing rubbing. Also, the larger diameter tire effectively lowers the axle ratio, which makes towing heavy loads more difficult. The stock 225/70/19.5 is 31.9” tall as JB mentions…and that is actually slightly taller than what comes on an F350 dually.
Im torn between a 550 and a 600. That 600 is pretty sweet. Hauling a flatbed gooseneck delivering hay.

Pretty sweet rig. I’d probably go with a bed with more storage options.
Nice, that is the ultimate towing machine, whatever you have you will be able to tow it with this.
Some people like Def and diesel fills on opposite sides so difficult to put wrong fluid in wrong pipe.
DEF doesn’t get filled very often either. I don’t mind it on the opposite side
❤Truck looks great thank you God bless you

I am thinking about getting this for a bed camper. But i get a steel bed, though.
Great video, nice truck, Thanks!
Can it carry a pallet of sod on the back.
I would want to cummins swap Ford and GM. There's a reason why all 18 wheelers today have inline 6 engines.
At this point, the Cummins 6.7 is no more reliable than the 6.6L Duramax or 6.7L Ford. Note that these trucks are not semis.
@ 8:00 people keep putting DEF in the Diesel tank.............. they need to be separate
WOW! 🤯
How much was that truck
Price
That’s how the F-450 and up should come from the factory for the 4x4s.
Personally the tires look to small for the wheel wheels on a factory truck.

@@tylermacconnell217 Thanks for the info.
What CM calls a hauler bed is actually a different model.
After looking those are 285 70 19.5.not 285 70 18..guess you didn’t have your glasses on😂
3:07 - Tire is touching.... Double ck
those welds are not exactly pretty (;
Dodgy as
You cant find the tire because you FORGOT to get the CHINA book from China. 😮
