I had pinhole 2 months ago. It is very painful and prone to failures. Already my gums are dangerously receding. It was done for my entire lower jaw because the dentist saves time and effort and can make lot of money. It was very painful for beyond 7 weeks. Only soft food is recommended. Had to use pain killers. You cannot sleep in position. If you have clenching of teeth during day or night, it will fail. The danger is it could even get worse than before and you might lose teeth. It is almost 8 weeks and I still get pain and dentist simply shows blank face. She ask me to come back for gumline fillings, I declined. Don't recommend this to anyone.

I did inquiry for pst at a qualified PST dentist, here in my country. You have to not brush your teeth for at least six weeks after your procedure and only after six months you’ll know if the procedure was a success. Success rates are at about 68%.
You can also help grow back your receiding gum line by oil pulling using eucalyptus essential oil and coconut oil (swish in mouth 10 minutes a day and spit it out)
@@kailashi7663 Yes, I used to brush my teeth and see pieces of my gums rubbing off it was awful. I started using the oils and also brushed my teeth with “dirty toothpaste” powder and that has prevented that from happening anymore.

The fact that your gum has already receded, what they pulling back is much like a circumcised flesh being pulled back to original but it wont work as it will be adverse and will recede back to its original position
If your gums are receding you probably have periodontal disease and should get a deep clean at your dentist or a periodontist. You could also be brushing too hard.
Most gum recession is caused by not having enough tissue around the teeth. Overbrushing and bad dental hygiene just accelerate the rate/degree the gums receed. This doesnt build up the tissue around the gum (which a graft does), it just moves the already insubstantial amount of tissue back in place, so I dont get why this is being advised as a treatmwnt when its a temporary and invasive cosmetic fix at best. No chance in hell your gums will stay in place even a year down the line and id stay clear (and report) any dentist who advises you otherwise.
A big big problem with this great idea is the cost. I heard about , or read about this technique many years go. US citizens need to move abroad, where dental care and other health care is actually affordable. Costs are so incredibly pathetic in the US.
