If anyone is watching this because you want to upgrade from 60hz, i’d say you should upgrade to a G-sync compatible 144hz+ (i upgraded to 165hz) monitor, it’s totally worth it, with G-sync you won’t get ANY screen tearing if it’s lagging and it just runs so smooth. *(if you hit the framerates)* it just feels awesome. trust me i had a 60hz before and i was like ”there’s no problem with this? Will i really feel that much of a difference?” But i did feel a big difference and i loved it. (Seriously it’s worth it) but idk about 120, but i think 120hz is worth it too. Edit: and if you upgraded you will be able to have 2 screens one 75-360hz (whichever you bought) and your other 60hz, and if you drag around a window like Google chrome on windowed between both of the screens so you can see chrome on both screens you Will see that huge difference, and if u play something where you hit those framerates you Will notice a BIG difference. (Totally worth it) And now 60fps will be like lag for you :D
Last picture shows perfectly why 120fps is superior. Beyond 60 fps it is not about the smoothness but steady details. Look how blurry 60fps gets while movng down and up the picture.
I'm pretty sure this video isn't a true representation. They just make it look that way, probably with resolution. If you pause, you can see the differences in the images. if it was frame rate, you would see the same images, right?
