Sounds delicious! And thank you, Chris, for getting all the sauce out of the can! Videos where they leave half the food in the jar or bowl make me crazy. Now I am wanting sloppy Joe's for dinner. :)
WOW!! This is almost my mother's recipe. She does not add the chili powder. She puts twice as much mustard and pickle relish. Mustard, pickle relish, mustard, green pepper and W-sauce are required ingredients. If the taste is off, adjust it by adding a bit of cider vinegar and/or sugar. Always make a double batch. If you don't you will wish you did. It freezes, for a short time, really well. It pairs well with a slice of American cheese and a side of tatter tots. Good job!!
Very much like mine with the exception of the relish. I will try it. I do add a bit of heat with crushed red pepper and sometimes top with cheese. Yummy.❤❤❤❤❤
I just bought all of your cookbooks about 2 months ago and I absolutely love them. They are perfect. The pages are such high-quality material, and the print is fantastic. I love the larger print. I am almost legally blind, and I can see the print without having to use a magnifying glass along with my glasses. I also love the spiral binder on them. This is what I call the perfect cookbook with the perfect recipes. I am waiting anxiously for the next one!
Looks really yummy, I made sloppy joes last week. I used my last jar of tomatoes I canned last year . I'm going to try it with the relish . I tried it in a recipe I saw for macaroni salad last year and was great . Was great that Chris made you lunch ...
These sound delicious. I was wondering what I was going to fix for supper and these will be perfect. Love watching you and Tammy. Looks like your garden is doing great. Love ya! ❤❤
My Dusty is your cats twin. He has a perfect heart behind his right leg. He eats so much too. Whenever he hears me cooking in the kitchen he makes his debut. LOVE Sloppy Joe's! There's nothing like it especially in the summer! Blessings to you guys & your family.
Hi Chris!!! Your Sloopy-Joe recipe looks mighty delicious to me...YUMS!!! I really enjoy a good Sloppy-Joe sami. I like mine with homemade Macaroni Salad. I will give this recipe a try for sure YUMS!!! You did real good cooking!!! Great Video!!!...🦋
My husband loves sloppy joes, but next time we have it, I'm going to use your recipe because it looks so much better. I would have never thought of adding the sweet relish to it while it's cooking. Tonight though, I'm making your chuck roast with the Lipton onion mix in the crockpot! Last night, we had your chicken burrito skillet and mandarin orange cake for dessert. Loved BOTH! We liked the chicken burrito much better in (wide) taco shells because it stays together and doesn't fall out of the taco and is easier to serve. Love your channel and recipes!
I’m 71, and went to a small four room school. They would have a fundraiser occasionally, hotdog and Hamburg day. The hamburgs were homemade sloppy joes and were marvelous. I’m going to try this.
A favorite of mine since childhood and especially when i could buy lunch at school on that day. Other favorites for scbool cafeteria buys Pizza and spaghetti with garlic 🍞. Yours looks delicious and Tammy approved. Thanks for cooking Chris. 👌
Hi Tammy & Chris! Who doesn't love a good ol' sloppy joe!? We're making these for supper tomorrow night. One thing that I noticed is that many recipes for sloppy joes call for a small amount of brown sugar. The use of the sweet relish adds just that little bit of sweetness while also adding a little tang as well. My entire crew loves this recipe. One little twist they'be added is a slice or two of pepper jack cheese or a dollop or two of "medium" queso over the top of the meat mixture. It's all good! Thanks for another video!. It's always good to see you cooking up something good in the CVC kitchen, Chris!
I love watching Chris cook and Tammy always saying how wonderful it tastes. I am going to have to try the pickle relish in mine next time I make it I love sloppy Joe’s.
That's how I make mine except for using brown sugar instead of the sweet pickle relish but I always have some of that relish on hand so I will try Tammy's secret ingredient next time. Love Sloppy Joes 😋 and I usually use leftovers as chili on a hotdog 🌭, which is good too. 😊❤
The Best kind of Sloppy Joes is from scratch. Memories of My Mama making homemade Sloppy Joes served with plain potato chips on the side. Thanks Chris for Sharing with Us the recipe. Wishing You and Tammy ❤️ a Very Happy Blessed Memorial Weekend. Hugs from California
This may be just a midwest thing, but my family has to have coleslaw on top of our sloppy joes to make the meal complete. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I love it when you cook not that I don’t like Tammy but when you cook it’s just a different take on cooking your sloppy Joe recipe is good have made it several times
Looks great Chris. You're so much fun to watch because you're not afraid to goof up and laugh at yourself. Enjoy your sloppy joes.

In place of the tomato sauce, my mother always used a bottle of Heinz chili sauce! It’s the best sloppy Joe’s!
That was funny Chris 😂😂😂 just fix it and keep moving 🤣 ❤
