For the people that don’t know Sean was riding a moped for b role and ended up low siding it in a parking lot and that’s where all the road rash is from.
It's been more than a half-century since the mid-1960's but I had a sweet Candy Apple Red Z-50A; the Honda Mini-trail. 28 MPH top end. Great memories learning to ride a dirt bike.
Am 63, riding since age 9 . I still have my 1972 Honda Z50A MiniTrail, all original in exc condition parked next to a 99 Busa and a Vulcan Voyager. Never part with your first bike is my motto,
That's cool. Unfortunately most of us have to part ways with out first bike to afford our second one, I had to. But I went back and bought a Suzuki TS185 recently, which was my first bike. Oh the smell of an old 2 stroke! And I'm off tomorrow into the back country of Australia on my 02 Blackbird. Sun's out guns out!
My first bike was a 72 Z50 with full suspension, folding handlebars and it had all the lights making it street legal. It had the clutchless 3 speed transmission.
Gold wheels.....DO IT! I bought my boy a honda mini trail back in the 80's. That thing was so much fun. And like you said, those little honda 50cc's were bulletproof!
I had chance to ride a Honda Monkey in 1975, they were very popular in Finland. They went away in 1980s. Suzuki and European moped manufacturers brought out their own versions of Monkey. Finnish kids would illegally modify mopeds. That they were fast motorcycles. Easily go over 50-60 and faster mph. When mopeds were made to 20mph.
When I was a kid there was a bitter rivalry between the kids who rode the 2-stroke Suzuki PV and the kids who rode Honda Monkey. My younger brother had one of those 3-speed semi-automatic Monkeys. It was a lot of fun.
I have a 1970 CT70 (Trail 70) its very similar to the Monkey with the fold down handlebars. My father pulled it out of a dumpster at his auto shop and brought it home. We changed some hoses, cleaned the carb, changed the plug and put gas in it. It fired right uo. It was 20+ yrs old when i got it and that was 30 yrs ago. All ive ever had to do was change oil and plugs and brake pads. The drum brakes suck but man that little thing is fast. Its poop brown and goes slightly over 40mph. 3 speed trans and faster than any souped up Tomos moped i ever had. The thing is ABSOLUTELY BULLETPROOF. Yes its a blast for my niece and nephiews, and me when we're all together!
I just started watching the video and saw your arms. I immediately thought of the last video and started laughing. I only laugh at my close friends after bike injuries so I guess you're in that club now. =)
Honda Dax or CT70 in the US was common. CT90 was more common than the Super Cub / Passport. Honda marketing messed up and sent C70 instead of C90, and both are motorcycles that need licensing. 50cc, less restrictions, 70cc is more trouble than worth. I rebuilt my 1964 Super Cub with a 125cc engine.
PLEASE have molds of the faring and saddlebags on the bagger monkey made. there are a ton of us that want those and we can't get them. PLEASE , PLEASE do this for us.
Great Video! I have a '84 Golden Monkey with .07 Kilometers and two '96 Golden Monkeys .08 kilometers and .09 kilometers. About to build my "Monkey Cage" to display them in my home
I had a 1969 Z50 that I put a 125 China motor in and wrote it back back-and-forth to work. Lotta looks a lot of laughs. Did that for a full year? Totally good mileage.
Wore the crap outta my z50 till it wouldn't start anymore. Dad taught me, new rings, lapped the valves (we were cheap). It ran good as new. On top of the world! I rebuilt an engine! At 12
i have a clone of the honda z50j gorilla but modern. i heavily modified an icebear leo to have a 150cc engine, billet inverted forks, extended swing arm, custom exhaust, 10" billet rims with billet hubs and dual front and rear brake disks. its my daily rider to and from work. shes a beast and gets a lot of looks. had a big storm at work once so i was able to fold the bars and fit it in the back of my buddies Prius lol. i made a custom rack on the back of my jeep to carry it for longer road trips like to the beach.
I have a '78 Z50A with a modded yx160 that does 81mph. They are a blast to zip around and are so responsive with the smaller (mine has 12" billets) wheels and super light weight.
i looked em up here in denmark, and it seems that we only have the new 125cc 4 stroke 6500usd new. I would love to se how they compares, to the old 2 stroke. Merry christmas.
Our first bike was a z50 metallic red in 1970 I was 5 and remember to this day my 4 year old younger brother crashing it into the fence on Christmas Day and wrecking the front of it It had all the lights and blinkers
Let us all learn from Sean's accident. Road rash hurts, even if it's just from a parking lot. Wear your gear. One of the better purchases I made last year was for an armored hoodie with kevlar. While not as good as my full leather road jacket, it's also something so easy and comfortable that I wear it even when I'm not riding - so I'm protected even when just goofing around.
I really appreciate your efforts! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
i dont know if the claim "indestructible" is accurate. i had a z50 i got used one summer...or part of the summer when i was 12 and by fall it was pretty much junk. had a lot of fun with it but when you push things to a little beyond the limit they tend to break
It's only a Give-a-way when the Second Party actually receives something in return. Sean voted Harris/Walz ! With that being said, Sena 60s is a Good Product.
I've heard people call them monkey bikes for ages. The band/TV show 'The Monkees' had them riding them in photos and other mini bikes on the show in the 60's, so I always thought Honda might have gotten the name from there, as people like my father referred to mini bikes as 'Monkee bikes' in reference to the show.
I worked in the bike trade from 89_01 and they where allways referred to as monkey bikes... But I am from the UK so maybe there's a regional thing. 🇬🇧🇺🇲👍
@cedhome7945 could be. I worked for Honda from early 80s to 91.... The only one I've heard called Monkey are the newer 125 bikes. I went to work for Harley Davidson later and retired in 2022. I still have three Harleys but I love my old 750 sohc choppers.
How come you don't have any GoPeds like the Bigfoot or the GRT6 and shit like that, or a scooter x gopad like I have, the dirt dogs there's some ones out there that will do like up to 100 miles an hour dude, it's weird to me that you don't have any of those yet not even one GoPed, kind of makes me sick! Hahaha.
I wonder why they dropped the 'Mini-Trail' name that was used back in the 1970's when the Z50 first became popular? My next door neighbor had one before I got a '66 S50 'step-through' that was my first real motorcycle.😄👍
Every one of those Japanese bikes you got in the box deserves a deep dive! ... While we wait... And wait for Paul to grow a ... Growth and step up to the build challenge. 😂😂😂😂
I had a '78 Honda Hawk in my teens til about 30 that was bulletproof near mint condition, a 400 I think, that I was given after my step-gramps passed. Sold it for $500 in '09ish to a buddy at the time and he ran it out of oil and locked it up like 2 months later and is probably still rotting in his yard. Still salty about that.
Only ever had 1 monkey bike it had a cub 90 engine i even took it to a skatepark and it took all the abuse lol ,great lil bikes i gave mine to a mate for his kid in the 90s and he beat on it too .
Check out his last video entitled "Did I lose $80K buying 22 motorcycles from Japan?". The crash is in the intro and then the full story towards the end of the video. Aside from Sean getting hurt, it is a good video learning about all of the treasures that he got.
For the people that don’t know Sean was riding a moped for b role and ended up low siding it in a parking lot and that’s where all the road rash is from.
Link?
Dude shouldn't be allowed on a motorcycle.
Vanna, can I buy a comma?😅
@@philspaces7213last week’s episode bikes and beards channel ain’t hard to find 🙄
Was a mini bike
Nice road rash. 😂
Wrecked a moped 🤣
Gotta need some street cred!
Ouch😮
Why there no video of the wipe out
Firs rule of bikes :falling off hurts no matter the size of what you're riding, so put some protective gear on!!
It's been more than a half-century since the mid-1960's but I had a sweet Candy Apple Red Z-50A; the Honda Mini-trail. 28 MPH top end. Great memories learning to ride a dirt bike.

That’s cool and all but Sean is 6 Dwo
My first bike was a 72 Z50 with full suspension, folding handlebars and it had all the lights making it street legal. It had the clutchless 3 speed transmission.
My first motorcycle was a 1975 Honda ST70, loved that little machine, over 120 mpg, the half gallon fuel tank lasted me a month between refills.
Gold wheels.....DO IT! I bought my boy a honda mini trail back in the 80's. That thing was so much fun. And like you said, those little honda 50cc's were bulletproof!
My first bike was a 1971 Mini Trail 50. I'm a 63 year old Harley guy and would love to have that in my garage!
Me too, exactly the same age and bikes.
Nothing on earth is engineered like a Honda.
Here in Brazil the honda only factory bomb that breaks, even being the best seller, the poor love this brand
Wrong, Chinese bikes are engineered exactly like Hondas 😅
@FoundingStockNZ Honda did the engineering and China stole the design. Their bikes are not engineered. They are copied
@randall1959 omg, you are so dumb lol
Except a Kawasaki, a Suzuki or a Yamaha....

These are super cool little bikes, your right everyone should have one, I had one in the late 70's not a monkey, the trail 70, wish I still had it ..
When I was a kid there was a bitter rivalry between the kids who rode the 2-stroke Suzuki PV and the kids who rode Honda Monkey. My younger brother had one of those 3-speed semi-automatic Monkeys. It was a lot of fun.
Tack för ett underbart år och önskar dig ett underbart Gott nytt år .
Thank you for a wonderful year and I wish you a wonderful Happy New Year.😆😎🎇🎊

This reminds me of my first mini-bike, a Honda Trail 50 .......... mine wasn't in the Gold Tone... lol
I just started watching the video and saw your arms. I immediately thought of the last video and started laughing. I only laugh at my close friends after bike injuries so I guess you're in that club now. =)
10:40 most of the Japanese scooters has this speed warning. Our old JOG which came from Japan has this warning too.
Honda sure love naming their bike with Gold & Silver.
Remember the QA50?
Heh heh, I do! Even smaller than the Z50 with a 49 cc. pushrod motor and a 2 speed transmission. Sort of designed for the 6 and under group.😉
Honda Dax or CT70 in the US was common. CT90 was more common than the Super Cub / Passport. Honda marketing messed up and sent C70 instead of C90, and both are motorcycles that need licensing. 50cc, less restrictions, 70cc is more trouble than worth.

Check out the 50cc Holda Canopy! Perfect for the wet weather!
PLEASE have molds of the faring and saddlebags on the bagger monkey made. there are a ton of us that want those and we can't get them. PLEASE , PLEASE do this for us.
So wild I've been watching this channel go from being a dealer with a ton of bikes, to no bikes at one point, and back to a warehouse full of bikes.
Great Video!
I have a '84 Golden Monkey with .07 Kilometers and two '96 Golden Monkeys .08 kilometers and .09 kilometers. About to build my "Monkey Cage" to display them in my home
at least one gold Monkey sold in the states for little over 5k in May 2024.
Cool video cooler bike merry Christmas to you and your family brother!
I had a 1969 Z50 that I put a 125 China motor in and wrote it back back-and-forth to work. Lotta looks a lot of laughs. Did that for a full year? Totally good mileage.

What happened when you laid that other little bike down? We saw the accident on the security camera but you never said what went wrong?
1:00 z100 is 50cc but with 1/2 size tires you get gearing/performance equivalent of 100cc. Kinda. If you squint just right.
In the 70s , there was a moped rental place in my area
The fun could not last long enough , can still point out some scars
i have a clone of the honda z50j gorilla but modern. i heavily modified an icebear leo to have a 150cc engine, billet inverted forks, extended swing arm, custom exhaust, 10" billet rims with billet hubs and dual front and rear brake disks. its my daily rider to and from work. shes a beast and gets a lot of looks. had a big storm at work once so i was able to fold the bars and fit it in the back of my buddies Prius lol. i made a custom rack on the back of my jeep to carry it for longer road trips like to the beach.
Really fun trail riding still have a 71 trail 70 .
Back in the 90's I bought a Z-50 for the kids for $300. We had a blast and years later I sold it for a bit more than I paid.
I have a '78 Z50A with a modded yx160 that does 81mph. They are a blast to zip around and are so responsive with the smaller (mine has 12" billets) wheels and super light weight.
Sean: I can ride this bike
Scars : I can tell you a whole different story
😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the history lesson captain von scabby
i looked em up here in denmark, and it seems that we only have the new 125cc 4 stroke 6500usd new. I would love to se how they compares, to the old 2 stroke. Merry christmas.
The Indian Papoose is actually a Welbike, badged as an Indian. Welbikes were designed and made by Excelsior Motorcycles, in Birmingham, England.
The honda monkey thats was really a classic in the old days
What's the scooter in the back? Some variant of the Honda Elite?
Just bought and sold a special edition chrome Honda Gorrila. Cool little bike.
Our first bike was a z50 metallic red in 1970 I was 5 and remember to this day my 4 year old younger brother crashing it into the fence on Christmas Day and wrecking the front of it
It had all the lights and blinkers

Sean. A 1996 gold one was sold at BAT for 9500 recently

Hey Shawn is behind you❕ 2:32
Atleast in Finland, before 1987 all had 3 speed semiautomatic engine, 1987 and never got 4 speed manual clutch.
Still sporting the road rash.
Nice, keep the Triple Antibiotic on it
I live in Columbia and support the motorcycle fun land.
Franklin is on board as well.....
@ let’s gooo!!! What petition do we need to sign?🤣
Does it wave a right handlebar at when you walk in the dealership?
I wonder why the wheels were silver (chromed?) on the gold Monkey?
The chrome z50 is the most rare bike you own.Could the golden monkey be considered a motorcyle idol?
We got those in Argentina, they called them "Honda Dax"
i dont know if the claim "indestructible" is accurate. i had a z50 i got used one summer...or part of the summer when i was 12 and by fall it was pretty much junk. had a lot of fun with it but when you push things to a little beyond the limit they tend to break
How did you get the rash? Hope it wasn't too bad
It's only a Give-a-way when the Second Party actually receives something in return.
Sean voted Harris/Walz !
With that being said, Sena 60s is a Good Product.
When is the cbr250 running?
Missed it how fast is it going top speed?
You're a good man my friend.
you should be making commercials about mc-jackets instead of helmets..... 🤣😘
For all of you wondering what happened to Shawn, he fought of 18 ninjas defending a baby.
might wanna change channel description:
SRK Cycles is a motorcycle dealership located in Landisville, PA.
Buy that hayabusa for your first bike if you want. You could look like sean on a 50cc scooter!!
? I don't remember them being called the Monkey till just the past few years. And I was a Honda mechanic in the 80s -90s...? Sena makes cool stuff!

I've never understood the ridiculous cost of these. Fun maybe but you can get a whole lot of murder cycle for the same price as these
How can I get in contact with Sean?
I wonder why they dropped the 'Mini-Trail' name that was used back in the 1970's when the Z50 first became popular? My next door neighbor had one before I got a '66 S50 'step-through' that was my first real motorcycle.😄👍
There were street legal z50s in Europe in the 70s
Motorsports Land sounds AMAZING! TAKE THAT DISNEY! 😂 But really, it sounds amazing!
These little Bikes with Foldable Handle bars are good for RV's. Ride down to the Convenience Store from the Camp Ground.
Try to get an "zb50" . I think they were available in usa... but good luck 😢
You’re healing well. 😊
Every one of those Japanese bikes you got in the box deserves a deep dive!
... While we wait... And wait for Paul to grow a ... Growth and step up to the build challenge.

They also made a Christmas edition 50 ..

The real monkey is Sean for not wearing proper gear while riding
Right? If you're going to go with the gold? Go all out! Should have done the wheels too.
What have you done with your arms?
In the 70’s owned the mini trail 50 and trail 70
Full throttle, redline all day long for years without problems.
Still scuffed up from the parking lot slide
Rupp roadster 2 minibikes come with a title so you could legally drive on the street
Only ever had 1 monkey bike it had a cub 90 engine i even took it to a skatepark and it took all the abuse lol ,great lil bikes i gave mine to a mate for his kid in the 90s and he beat on it too .
I would use the speaker system but I still have nothing to ride
Did you crash a bike?? I'll looking at all of your scabs.
Ok Sean you know we all want to know what ya wiped out. Nice road rash. 👍
Check out his last video entitled "Did I lose $80K buying 22 motorcycles from Japan?". The crash is in the intro and then the full story towards the end of the video. Aside from Sean getting hurt, it is a good video learning about all of the treasures that he got.
He went down on a scooter😂
Whats up with the road rash?
Low sided a scooter
scooter love marks looking fresh
By the looks of your arms have you been to Pastrana land
Scooter life bruh
Lol
You're not selling bikes?
Is that moped rash?
Yes
I LOVE the Honda Monkey bikes 😍
You didn't just buy a container full of bikes. You bought a container full of content. And I'm all for it!
I have a Honda ruckus. 2022 with 500 miles. 100% stock runs perfectly. Trade me something from your japan buy
Needs gold wheels to complete the look
14:11 keep looking for fifth
Old cars use batteries. Even they arent emp proof.
Watch those fork seals bud
So, the bike “build” off is off I guess?
Yea how's that arm. OUCH !! IDID tHAT ONCE to my face took months too heal.
