@@dylan__dog This is what I don't get. People say it's because Embiid is so dominant inside but we've seen Jokic can be too and that disparity in free throw attempts can't be unintentional. Dude has scars all over his arms yet hardly goes to the line. And if you have a player who makes unbelievable shots wide open or in traffic CONSISTENTLY you're gonna have people fouling him. I find it impossible to believe every team we go against (even teams that are foul-heavy) are so good they can contest him without fouling meanwhile Nuggets get a call every play
That lane violation was ridiculous. The only reason that went to a jump is because it's the Celtics at home. There's no way they're going to call Jokic on distracting his own teammate and the Celtics were deep in the paint long before Jokic stepped in. It should have been called immediately. It's a strange, brilliant play but it's really not that complicated. That should not have been a jump ball.
Nuggets are doing something different. They've been experimenting with different plays and personnel combinations against easier matchups and it seemed like they underplayed in their last 76ers game on purpose. 🤔 Maybe because beating the 76ers isn't important to them and it risks injuring starters. I think Embiid whispered that into Jok's ear, that he knew Denver wasn't putting up their best during that game, but he'd be ready for the rematch when it counts. The Nuggets are treating their game schedule as if it's an opportunity to practice before the playoffs. On this Celtics game they switched off the experimental mode and approached the matchup like it was the best quality practice available to prepare for the post season. Denver has the number one or two best depths in the league. Reggie and Braun and Jordan rotate off the bench and give every team grief until Jok/Murr return. If they keep experimenting with plays and players, by the post season they'll be like trying to defeat 5 different teams at once.
Great breakdown. Very thorough! The Nuggets force teams to have an elite three-point night to beat them - with the calculation being that it won't win-out most of the time - alluding to the three-pointers not falling enough, which results in a lower possession scoring ratio. The Celtics didn't have a great shooting night, but the Nuggets didn't either, which turns into a gritty contest between the big-men, but mainly the difference-makers, Jokić and Murray. If the Nuggets bench plays well, the three-pointers HAVE to be dropping like its hot. In a seven-game series, it's not likely the three-pointer will be dropping at 50% or more on average throughout the series; that, to me, is the main strategy of the Nuggets in the playoffs. If you can shoot enough three-pointers AND make them, then you'll beat the Nuggets, but it's not probable - especially in a seven-game series.
I think the Celtics can beat them in a 7 game series both teams are amazing it was a 2 point game fought hard on both sides nobody else has a chance in a 7 game series honestly unless health plays a factor
This game against the Champions is exactly why I never understood why the media kept acting like Boston was “far and away” from every other team in the league.
Tbh Celtics still figuring things out. They still dont know how to use Jrue on offensive side efficiently. So Celtics can still be better but I don't think there's a higher level of Nuggets basketball than what they played yday.

If this is a preview of the NBA finals, I don't see how anybody on the celtics is going to be able to stop Nikola. Zone defense just does not work on him.

Established pivot changes as he proceeds to a fadeaway from another leg. Are multiple travels ok now?Again , Jamal this time 19:42 making pivot from one leg but jumps from another.
People saying Boston barely lost when JT and JB had stinkers and guys missed open shots but fail to acknowledge the number of turnovers Nuggets had and that even Jokic missed some of his easy shots. It goes both ways.
@@TJWest-if3ny AG/KCP combined fo 7 points on 16.6% shooting. But hes right, Jokic did miss one shot that I can recall that was a typically a gimme. He played really well in any case. The other misses was a .3 second shot he had to get off, and then two 3s. Otherwise he went 14-19.
Nuggets only shot 25% from three, AG didn't make a shot and MPJ, KCP and rest didn't do much scoring but that's when you see what teams are made of. Everyone can win pretty when the ball is popping but winning when shots aren't falling is when you see how teams react to the grimy game that you see in the playoffs. Everyone wants to be the Pacers but when playoffs come and the Heat are your opponents you better be ready to be punched in the mouth and react when things don't go your way. Do you have a plan B? C? Can you tighten your defense up even more? Can you make the right plays for yourself or for others? The Playoffs Heat with their dozen defensive schemes are my litmus test. You do what needs to be done to win.
This might be the best finals matchup-wise we've ever seen. However I believe Malone's coaching and NJ ability to impact literally every single aspect of the game on top of Jamal being a mini Kobe in the playoffs would bag this one.
Those fouls on Porzingis should have also been called the other way. 3 times Jokic got hit in his hands on release and didn't get called. But there were some favorable calls for Nuggets overall so we good
I've noticed that many players in the league have somewhat picked up on the value of assists. Finding the open man is the key to team success. Denver's players have been skillfully working their offense to create that one open shoooter. If shots aren't dropping they rely on Mister Joker's mastery to keep them in games. The Nuggets have a wicked assortment of weapons that compliment Jokics skills. And Coach Malone, the architect, makes sure his team operates properly on the hardwood courts day in and day out.

Terrific breakdown of the whole game much of which I came to myself. Murray was devestating all game from midrange and the ball movement was non existent when it counted for the Celtics. It looked a lot like last ECF with all the missed threes. When MPJ went for that crucial rebound that might have been a designed play as I understand it.

@@HoopVenue they cannot accidentally miss so many calls on him, they have orders not to call fouls on him, they don't want serbian white boy to break all their legends records...
@@HoopVenue they dont miss them
@@dylan__dog This is what I don't get.
5:33 damn that would’ve been clean if bro hit that 3.The pass by Jokic and the pass fake by Watson to confuse Brown to get open was insane
Your commentary and analysis are incredible, it was really informative!
I love when you said that when Horford checked in it was his turn😂😂😂
Put in the blender 💀
@@HoopVenue They were really struggling against Jokic, but everyone does tbf
Except for Rui Hachimura of course!
@@HoopVenue Yeah they held him to 27 points,12 assist and 14 rebounds 😃😃😃
@@HoopVenuethey’re onto something there 😂
19:46 Jamal shoots a Jordan-fade and falls into a high-five with a fan. At a road game! 😎 Now that was smooth. 🔥👏
It was Victor Oladipo!!
@@HoopVenue 🤔 why Victor up in Boston? Did they play together before?
Honestly not sure
I can’t believe joker baited them into a violation at the end 😂
Crazy stuff
I'm happy to be alive now and have the chance to see this upcoming clash!
Mr. Good Teams Man is on another level, Jamal Murray is the goat versus championship contender teams
The Nuggets are the champions for a reason and yes they can be beaten but by which team In a best of 7 that’s where it gets questioned
I’m with you there!
I think the Celtics can beat them in a 7 game series both teams are amazing it was a 2 point game fought hard on both sides nobody else has a chance in a 7 game series honestly unless health plays a factor
The nuggets treated this like a playoff game unlike the game against the 76ers
This game against the Champions is exactly why I never understood why the media kept acting like Boston was “far and away” from every other team in the league.
Tbh Celtics still figuring things out. They still dont know how to use Jrue on offensive side efficiently. So Celtics can still be better but I don't think there's a higher level of Nuggets basketball than what they played yday.
@@kedrprao thats being arbitrary lil bro, who are you to say this is peak nuggets? Playoffs Murray and Joker play on another level with their O. I'd bet this is not Denver on their highest possible caliber at all. We have to wait and see.
@@kedrprao Even in games where he goes off, Jokic only plays with about 70% effort in the regular season vs the playoffs
Because the media analysts are stupid
Media is horny for lightskins and big markets
Bro broke the entire defence of the other team and hit the SHOOTING GUARD in the corner wide open just for him to brick the finish 😭😭
bald Derrick White looks almost like a normal human being , give me the Derrick with the atrocious hairline again :D
Bruh, Jokic so smart that he uses every violation to their advantage.
Your vids top quality in the 🏀 community bro I swear. You delivered another classic 🙌🏾
As a Celtics fan this breakdown is perfect. Hopefully the C’s have a assistant coach who reviews TH-cam videos like this and learn from the video. The Celtics need a down low offensive player who can draw a double team to open up the 3…. Great video 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Really glad to hear that you enjoyed!
Denvers defense was on another level
Locked in Nuggets are scary
Man, if these 2 teams meet in the Finals, the joker will be a big problem.
Horford is no pushover and Joker just toys with him
I’m a simple man. I see Hoop Venue dropped a video 10 minutes ago, I click🤷♂️
Appreciate you 🙏🏻
Jamal a top 3 PG when hes in lockin mode.
Watching basketball at .5 and .25 speeds is incredible this game is gorgeous
So much going on that you can only catch in slow-mo, love it.
Thank you for this man i wasnt able to watch the game and im a big Celtics fan
Glad you enjoyed! This style of videos is intended for exactly that, a sort of "recap" for those who couldn't watch the entire thing.
Great analysis! Thanks for the breakdown!
Thanks for watching!
If this is a preview of the NBA finals, I don't see how anybody on the celtics is going to be able to stop Nikola. Zone defense just does not work on him.
Making Jokic a scorer = a legend strategy. Simple and effective haha as the best strategies should have until they are countered. Good luck with that.
Really good video nice job!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Beautiful basketball from the best 2 teams in the league right now.
when in last moment jokic defend 3 people switch
that is the highlight
DPOY soon
good breakdown analysis for average fan who doesnt normally understand the nuancess of bball
Thanks!
Beautiful analysis. Jokic passing and player manipulation is next level. Shout out to nuggets player #8 who shed a defender with a fake pass in jokic like fashion (5:39). Why is tatum not putting his head down and trying to score at the basket more??
That jokic fake was crazy
2:44 Jokic switching pivot on this play after he picks up the dribble, is it more than ok now in the nba ? 3:50 same on that play. Established pivot changes as he proceeds to a fadeaway from another leg. Are multiple travels ok now?Again , Jamal this time 19:42 making pivot from one leg but jumps from another.
THIS HOOP VENUES YEAR 🗣️ 🗣️
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great breakdown. Made me cringe on how good the coaches of both Denver and Boston compared to idiot coach we have in Dallas.
Murray is underappreciated. The dude is awesome.
100% agreed
People saying Boston barely lost when JT and JB had stinkers and guys missed open shots but fail to acknowledge the number of turnovers Nuggets had and that even Jokic missed some of his easy shots. It goes both ways.
Right they pretend like their stars not showing up for a big game isn't concerning
Jokic shot 14/22. He’s shooting 58.3. Not to mention, his shooting efficiency is down this season. What are you talking about smh.
And how many wide open shots MPJ,KCP and AG missed. DEN beat the Celtics with literally 3 players.
It’s wild that how bad the Celtics fell apart in the 4th they still only lost by 2 on a missed shot. Can’t wait to see both teams in the finals.
This might be the best finals matchup-wise we've ever seen. However I believe Malone's coaching and NJ ability to impact literally every single aspect of the game on top of Jamal being a mini Kobe in the playoffs would bag this one.
KCP and peyton watson had tatum trying to flop for calls and damn near gave himself a concussion trying to flop on that last play 😭😭
great breakdown. this is such a good matchup. hope we see it.
100% agree!
Those fouls on Porzingis should have also been called the other way. 3 times Jokic got hit in his hands on release and didn't get called. But there were some favorable calls for Nuggets overall so we good
Watching Porzingis v Jokic on my phone is like I selected 2 blank characters in 2K.
Insane matchup!
Tatum in the clutch is really something else 😵💫
He's just very streaky imo. He had a huge clutch-time performance against the Wolves recently, just gotta be in attack mode and not settling.
@@HoopVenueYeah that was a good game for sure. Seems like a dime a dozen for him though. His decision making and turnover tendencies are scary especially for someone touted as an MVP candidate…
Honestly maybe a hot take but I think mazula is kind of a trash coach sometimes. Like down with 4 seconds left, there’s gotta be a better choice than Tatum iso and let him throw up a brick after being cold all quarter… idk man.
Did you know he is ranked 22nd in clutch time percentage since 1996-97?
@@Amari_14
What about being clutch *when it matters* ?
Honestly felt bad for Al Horford lmao, man's getting cooked.
Don’t worry, when the playoffs roll around he’s modern day Bill Russell.
Wow nice Mr.Nugget reference didn't know you were tapped in like that

Dude, I noticed that. I'm like "How do you know that!?" That's deep denver fan stuff and DNVR
Great vid as usual! But weird question for you. Do you piece together your video and then record your audio? Or record your audio then do your graphic to match your recording?
I start by writing out a script and gathering all of the clips/visuals I’ll need. Then I record my audio, and after that put it all together. Hope that answers your question!
@@HoopVenue it does thank you!

20:31 - it seems like joker didn't know to the last moment if he's going to score or pass, so something in between came up of it :))

Fabulous. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Loves these videos
Glad to hear it! More to come.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
lovely video
damn I am happy for porzingis ... he finally found himself on the court , but it is annoying that these big guys get fouls just because somebody is close to them when they shoot :D
Boston actually made Jokic tried in that game. Im a huge Jokic fan but i swear he makes me mad sometimes. He could EASILY lead the league in scoring and assist if he gave this effort more often
Good that he saves his body for the postseason though!
@@HoopVenue right, him basically coasting is still good enough to be the best player in the league

There’s something about Tatum I’ve never really liked 😂. I think it’s his body language/shot selection
I think he settles more than most superstars, with his skillset, athleticism, and frame he should be a top 5 slasher in the game.
he dont know u exist lil bro
@@ethan38721🪞
He loves the step back 3 while being bad at it (around 30%. He's actually close to 40% on catch and shoot 3s.)
I never really was a fan of Kobe, and when I saw some of the crazy or dumb shots Tatum takes and I found out he idolizes Kobe, then I realized why I had something against Tatum’s game. He’s talented, and when he gets going, it’s crazy that plays he pulls off, but when he’s bad, he’s really bad and it’s painful to watch him chucking bricks up like Kobe on a bad day 😮💨
