You inspired me and my two closest buddies to try roughing it in the outdoors. We went out with ropes hatchets a little water flint and steel and some meat and tried to survive for the weekend. It actually went super good after the first night! The first night we weren't able to get much done at all on our shelter so we slept by the fire instead and it got down to 53 which was a bit cold without sleeping bags 😂 . Anyways thanks for inspiring tons of people and for years of unbeatable content

I would love to go outdoors but sweating, gives me undercarriage chaffing, and I can't shit in the woods. So, I live vicariously thorough all these videos and comments. The more positive comments other people have, the happier it makes me for you, and myself.

It's been so awesome and I'm truly grateful for all the success this channel has brought you in your personal life to enable you to keep making more. Thanks to your wife for letting you do this too! Outdoor content/videos are great. For me, comedy works even better. So many clips of great comedians and shows are so available. Rodney Dangerfield was one of the best. Better to laugh than to cry, and even John Stewart(The Daily Show) said that you must make a joke about every situation in your life, just to stay sane. I hope that you're doing okay. Even when you enjoy something, there's always a letdown after it's done. Just like Christmas Day at 2:00 pm in the afternoon, or the day after. Then, you just find another good distraction to move on to.

Down here ( tennessee usa) the trees are changing. That means my solar house will get full power. From the drop off of leaf's. The true signal is the deer are changing coat colours fast. And birds are flocking. Turkeys are on the trot. Foraging for seeds and quick greens. (As Retired army Sargent) I used to take time to inspect my artic Gear. So at 70 I'm DOOING what comes natural for me...

What a great trip Joe! I do the flat bun and peanutbutter thing too now. One trick I like is to use one of the refillable toothpaste squeeze tube style containers for the peanutbutter. Alternately, you can actually cut the end off a used plastic tube, wash it out, fill it, and re-seal it if you have a vacuum bag food saver machine to heat seal the cut end. Plus, it shrinks as you use it up, and after breaking one lid, and losing another, it tends to be less prone to accidentally turning things into a mess. Plus, you can apply it without necessarily needing a knife or anything straight from the tube. Thanks for bringing us along!

I’ve been waiting for this video ever since Joe posted the photo of he and Mike on Instagram a few weeks back. I think of Mike and I see that clip from their trip a couple years back. I’m spending everyday outside. Building my AT lean-to shelter, finishing wood processing for the stove and repairing gear. Yep, Farmers Almanac predicting frigid winter here in the Midwest. Can’t wait....I love winter. Good show Joe!
