- I haven't seen a compilation of the deaths in this game, so I took manners into my own hands. This might not be all of them but I got a good amount of them.
...How in the world did this gain so much traction in just over 2 years? I guess people really like torturing Pac-Man. - บันเทิง
It’s pretty funny that one of the deaths in this game comes from Pac-Man effectively cursing you out for shooting that little girl and making her cry. He’s not even hurt-just really mad and really disappointed.
It's pretty funny that 1 of the deaths in this game pac-man effectively falling down similar to what the coyote goes through in the roadrunner cartoons created by the late chuck jones
I think initially if you fall into bad terms with the little girl you can't really complete the next mission that requires you to get her flowers from the mountain for jr to give her on her birthday. She has a role in the last level too were her and jr are attacked by ghost. So you wanna not sour the relationship she has with jr or you can't get to the next levels anyways.
And one of the deaths when pacman falls into the trashcan by having a look at it, like how did he managed to do that XD

when i was a child, i always kept laughing at pac-man's death animations, even when he literally gets ketchup on his face for pissing off the hot dog dude.

7:25 I love the fact that they actually animated a short scene of him running after it in the cave trying to catch up to it. I always thought this game was super neat with the many ways to kill Pac.

The things Pacman has to go through....
I give this game props on 2 major sides
1st- the amount of time they put into the death/fail scenes. Yeah they can just make any run of the mill "hit and then faint" game over screen, but they actually put time and effort to making a variety of unique things, and that keeps it from being boring.
and 2- the freaking gameplay of this game. Not once have I seen any game with this sort of gameplay style to it, making Pacman 2 one of the marvels of the gaming world, and I sincerely mean that- you could argue its a "point and click adventure copy", but unlike those, you have no control where or what direction pacman goes, and his movement and interactions through the environment make it really special. Idk who the geniuses are that made the game this way, but they deserve a medal for being one of the most original and innovative creators ^^
The hotdog guy sees the abuse from the cat and doesn't give a crap. He's probably thinking "Eh, he deserves it."

My cousins and I spent far too much time tormenting poor Pac-man in this game, and to think there are still ways we didn't know about.
I like how he can die from getting scared. Very fitting for a character like Pac-man

I agree as well, the a button is shoot power pellet, the b button is shoot, and the c button is look with control pad
I think you are missing 2 more. 1 is in minecart and another in hanglider. Let the hanglider be at the bottom of the screen without crashing. The minecart is letting Pacman stay in minecart at death 32.

There was another version of the death where you can send Pac-Man flying onto the teeth of the rake where it sends him flying upwards then collapsing.

No, it respawns you outside the tunnel.
What happens is that that mini yellow ball rat dies for everything, for nothing, for any inexplicable danger or for anything.

If I plan to update this collection with more deaths, then possibly, I haven't found or replicated any more yet so who knows? The main difference is that there is an Iris Out effect if you die in that version (or in other situations such as cutscenes), which the Genesis version lacks.

The Sega version isn't bad but the SNES had better sound and uses the iris out when Pac Man fails. The only thing Sega did good was the game intro screen with Pac-Man eating the words.
