It's either that or the Orsted/Dead End convo+fight for me. Though that last episode is up there. Volume 7 is a better read ngl. The section could've done with another episode but only if the University arc got 1 or 2 as well imo.
Not a LN reader here (anime ONLY)...but I can say that Season 1 was a 9.9/10 and Season 2 Part 1 was a 4/10 (I know that 4/10 seems a bit high but this is because of how "good" was the Volume 7 anime adaptation...hearing about the skipped Sara's "POV" made me cry...why the F*CK that was not in the anime?! The Director change was the biggest downgrade in anime history. Again...without the Volume 7 from the anime adaptation this half of a Season was the most boring sh*t I've ever seen from an isekai. I like slower anime (my 2nd favorite isekai anime after Mushoku Tensei is Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. I mean in that anime I actually disliked how they speedrun the ending of the first season to give it some kind of "ending". (sorry for my english) Coming back to Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 1. We got some Zanoba "comedy" (no body cares about that weirdo). We got some beast girls (again...no body cares about them). We got the little girl bought to make dolls/figurines for the weird guy (WHY????????!). We got the Elinalise "comedy" and her "interesting" curse (surely this curse is very important for the """PlOt"""). We got some random Demon King challenging Rudy to a duel...for reasons... We got some more other stuff. And finally we got random info dump from the masked Girl. I will not even mention the whole Sylphie/Fitz part of the show because of how poor was done. I watched some "cut content" done for some of the episodes of Season 2 Part 1...and I guess this is what happens when you are a piece of media focused on the writing of the characters and the world and not some battle shonen manga with 2-3 fights/episode (JJK). Again...sorry for my english...but what I'm trying to say is that the writing from the LN really felt missing from Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 1 compared with Season 1 Part 1 and Part 2. EDIT: Oh...I forgot to mention the random Ariel, Luke and the other guy that got isekaid into the afterlife in 1 hit by the boar monster in episode ZERO. Nobody cares about these "powerless" people no matter how important source readers are spoiling the story and their """importance""". Again...that dude got terminated in episode ZERO in 1 hit. Again...in a World with Ruijerd, Eris, Ghislaine, Kishirika, Badigadi (probably said his name wrong...don't care), Rudy, Orsted and the other 6 "Great Powers"...I don't see how Ariel and the "politics" around her will have any impact into the actual story. I mean...I just don't buy the fact that Sylphie is just doing whatever Ariel says...just because she crossed the border. I mean when she was young and scared...sure...but as she got older...she didn't tried to leave!? I don't believe that was anyone stronger than her around Ariel.
Tbh, it's hard to give you a decent reply about the unresolved plot references you currently don't care about without turning this into a big essay (no shade intended) and spoiling the rest of the story. Director change being the biggest downgrade in anime history? In a world where shows have seen a change in the studio working on them and done so much worse, I think you're being very harsh. The aspects of MT S2 P1 I feel were lacking could've only been better if studio BIND had more episodes to work with from the very start of the series. Though, I do think they could've added a little more Sylphie POV even with the episodes they got. We're not even halfway through the main storyline so let the show cook. Sounds cliché but I'm pretty sure you've seen LNs say the same thing👌🏾
You completely and utterly failed to understand the main idea of the show then. It's not about action at all. Sure it involves it but it's only one of the many mediums through which the true main conflict is explored. You don't have to like it. You're fine to like your shounen battle stuff, but you can not say that a pizza was bad because you were expecting to eat ice cream. And you are very very wrong. Most people really like these characters, it's only you who does not. The elinalise curse is extremely plot relevant and will actually relate to the major conflict of a several volume arc later down the line. The only fair point of criticism you actually give is about the demon king and I'm not sure why they cut the most important part of that dialogue out.
@@nemsreviews Yeah...the episodes number is the biggest problem with Mushoku Tensei Anime Adaptation...especially in Season 2 Part 1. In One Piece you have what...like 1 Episode/ manga chapter...in Mushoku Tensei what we have...3 episodes every LN Volume...how many pages of text is in every Volume!? Mushoku Tensei...again...is about the characters and not the action (and that's why I love it...that's why I watch more romance anime rather than battle shonen or mecha anime)...and also for the World Building...but in the anime they removed for example in Volume 7 Anime Adaptation *HALF* of the characters (the Sara's POV). LN readers say that Volume 7 is not "important" yet it was the best part of Season 2 Part 1 even without the cut content. I've heard something about Volume 7 being something added later (probably something added to the Web Novel)...but it was added because it was important for Rudy's **CHARACTER** !
@@eidolon9767 "You completely and utterly failed to understand the main idea of the show then." And you failed to read my comment. "You're fine to like your shounen battle stuff" I pointed out how my 2nd fav isekai is an anime that is slow. Mushoku Tensei became my favorite anime in only 4 episodes (how you remember what happened in episode 4). The reason why I'm so critical on the show is because of how much I like it. For example the scene when Rudy is caught with the panties in his hand...they could have done that *IMPORTANT* scene justice in the anime adaptation without the need for 3-4 more episodes...but they decided to not do it. I mean how hard it was to animate some earth magic on his feet and some more VA lines of dialogue in Rudy's head...!
They're prioritising what to put in. So there were always going to be fans nitpicking that their favourite plot point didn't get the screen time they thought it deserved. I try not to complain because I'm aware that LN adaptations are extremely difficult to get done "right" when you don't have the freedom of choosing the overall anime run time. EDIT: @azumag4432
What's your favourite part of the show? Or most detestable? Be sure to leave a comment about your thoughts on the show!🙏🏾
My favorite part so far is the Paul Rudy reunion. For this season I'd say the final episode was the best. Though I liked volume 7 more in the novels.
It's either that or the Orsted/Dead End convo+fight for me. Though that last episode is up there.

Easily one of the best animes I've ever seen.
It's oh so brilliant👌🏾
always a great review!!! thanks nems!!!
"He turned Rudy into a human donut". Lmao
You could also say, that "he's been yamcha'ed". 🤣
I almost included that reference 😅
Thinking of starting this one! Thanks for the video
Thanks, I really appreciate it!🙏🏾
If you don't let the despicable aspects of the show get to you, you'll love it👌🏾
Awesome video man!
Thank you!🙏🏾
Nice job! 👌
Great video, you get a sub my guy ‼️
Thank you man, I really appreciate it!🙏🏾
Np
Best modern... thats up for debate. but only because there are to many Isekai right now and a lot are more modern.
Great video dude. Keep it up 👍
Appreciate you!🙏🏾
