I have to thank you. This video helped me fix the problem with minimal cost and aggravation. It took me a couple hours, and the repair guy is booked out three weeks (yikes). Attaching that idler spring was a challenge. The connector on the electronic panel is very light duty and I feared I broke it working the front face off. I came off with a jerk, snapping the connector apart. Luckily, no damage other than a misaligned pin or two. I wasn't sure which way the belt goes, but mine ended up with the ribs out. Thanks again.

@@bettygregoire4651 It seem that this particular model has a "feature" that heavy things like sweat shirts, carpets, etc get caught between the drum vane and front of the machine, stopping the drum and consequently making the motor melt and break the belt. I've replaced mine 6 times in the past couple years and we've never had a problem with the previous dryers like this. I still reference your video but have it pretty much memorized. Thanks again for the nice video.

Loved your video! Think it will help me immensely, but being a female if I can fix this dryer without taking it off my washer as it's a full sized stackable, I'll be extremely happy and grateful as Electrolux has totally not responded to my requests to fix what I feel is a very dangerous dryer they designed. My Electrolux dryer was pricey so i'm upset that the one fin (I call it that) for flipping clothes is a very poor design as it is right up against the drum walls so any clothes that have resistance such as a rubbery substance will get stuck in the narrow space which is no more than 1/4" of space between fin and wall locking up the drum and burning the belts off. In less than 2 yrs the belt has had to be replaced 3 times from the same thing occurring with that wide fin which needs corrected from what I'm experiencing. I'm wondering if all the fins could be the same length and if I could replace the long one to be as the other two eliminating the problem as Electrolux will not respond to me about any of this that i call a dangerous situation for a fire to start when the drum locks up and the smell of burning rubber occurs. Any help or knowledge would be appreciated. I won't pay these exorbitant costs. So far one appliance repair is $375 for repair and a fee to look at it. That's not happening and never dreamed an Electrolux product I'd ever find made like this set!! No more of any of their products or Samsungs since they are the same company now. I'm rambling bc I'm upset over a product I expected to be the creme of la creme not a piece of, you can figure out what I think.

This is crazy! I found the exact same off white melted plastic wheel! I can’t find anything on where it came from. I thought maybe it was a spacer for the guide wheel. One thing I don’t like is how close the spring is to the belt.

It’s the worst Lemon worst Engineered Appliance I’ve ever owned or fixed more than twice. Video is clear, concise,& I can count on 2+ hours of cussing the Electrolux design each time. Never got easier, only got MoreMad.
