    I have been going through a little bit of a personal hell recently.
    Guilt, shame, fear....about pointless and inconsequential things.
    But I know that my mind can be peace. It is only a matter of time.
    Thank you very much.

For all my fellow OCD sufferers, remember, you are more than your thoughts, and your true mind is the love you give out to yourself and others 😌🙏✨🌟🌈 medication and meditation can be life-savers, by the way, they’ve changed my life so much for the better ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    I found this very useful. I try to listen everyday or whenever my OCD is bad. Repetitive intrusive thoughts are mind and soul crushing. It ruined my life. Now only bothers me a little. I used to get migraines from fighting these thoughts and had poor concentration. I would resort to substance abuse to block out the unwanted thoughts. So sad. Thinking back. So many tumultuous years wasted. Many thanks for making this video man. Much appreciated !

I think it’s because my mother is one of the most important people to me, it always targets your loved ones. If you are still fighting these thoughts, make sure you keep telling yourself “just because I have the thought, DOESNT mean i want to do it” stay strong, you will get there.

      Only thoughts. Medication will help.
      Don’t be ashamed. Once you learn and realize it’s just thoughts your brain makes. Don’t fight it, except the thought and it will go away faster. They say Zoloft works good for racing unwanted thoughts.

    This is the best short relaxation/meditation I've found for OCD. There are times (ie at work/etc.) where you just don't have the time or ability to listen to a long meditation or easily be able to refocus to something that can keep you grounded in reality/get you back on track. This is quick enough that you can go to the rest room/etc. or be at your desk and use this tool to help remind you that thoughts are just thoughts, and that its just ocd that is trying to make you distressed/etc.
    This should work very well for people with generalized anxiety as well :)

    OCD/ Pure O specifically is a type of tourettes. Literally its mental tourette syndrome, it goes un noticed and only the sufferer can figure themselves out. Think about it. Unwanted thoughts that keep poking at you , and pop out of nowhere making you anxious and stuck = non physical tourettes.

      I agree, I always tell my mom that. I feel like it’s a form of Tourette’s. Although you’re aware that you’re doing the compulsions, because you’re trying to get rid of the obsession. (No ocd isn’t Tourette’s I’m just agreeing with the person lol)

    I've suffered from OCD since I was younger and the bad phases come and go. In October I was sitting in class and I automatically had to erase a period mark over 4 times and I thought to myself, it will get better tomorrow. I kept saying that EVERYDAY since October, and it's now February. I have to think about a thought that I want to come true 4 times OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, and if I dont, "something bad will happen." Or "What I want will not happen." Everyday since that October I find everyday tasks a HUGE challenge because I have to Repeat and Repeat my actions. It's so annoying. Then I get thoughts that make me feel bad, but I would Never do something evil like that. I already know what I have but I find talking about it helps if people can relate. I wish someone could relate tho.🤦🏻‍♂️

I feel like a literal prisoner in my own mind and that as long as I’m having the thoughts it will become reality. I’m trying to detach myself entirely from the thoughts but it’s difficult. We will overcome!!

    For everyone suffering with ocd, i suggest you try CBT, extremely helpful and can allow you to let your thoughts come and not be disturbed by them, instead of desperately looking for a way out. CBT and meditation have been way more helpful than any meds you can take, and I highly suggest using it since it can make OCD go away permanently, well not really, but to the extent where the thoughts dont bother you anymore.

    • @whitneyvillers4280
      @whitneyvillers4280 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      i can easily say cbt & dbt therapy saved my life. i was very stubborn and afraid of it at first, since a lot of my thoughts were trauma based, my headspace was, “why should i have to do all this namaste bullshit to heal the pain others put upon me?”. however, once i went into an inpatient i really didn’t have a choice anymore and i am so glad i tried it. i was super oppositional to any sort of meditation because honestly, i was just an asshole. but the whole point is that with cbt you don’t have to put on a happy face. you don’t have to pretend things are fine. you find peace in acknowledging that they are not, but that it is okay, and the idea of things being “fine” is subjective and relative to individual experience. highly recommend.

    For me I get intrusive thoughts about things I'm deeply fearfull about. Funny thing is I came to accept one of my fears and it wasn't so bad after that. Guess what my brain did next ? Took something else I was scared of happening and started obsessing about that .. sigh.

      i feel soo scared that I can relate to this... have u tried consulting a psychologist ?

    • @faust011
      @faust011 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No really I haven't yet. I keep telling myself if it gets really bad I will. I can still do my job etc so I guess I'm kind of ok. Maybe I could be alot better if I did see a therapist. Recently I've been just trying to accept my self completely and practice self kindness. Even with all this issue I tell my self I'm ok. Also I recently went on a holiday and forgot all about my job/life. Since coming back I've been abit better. So I realise that getting stuck in a routine also doesn't help. So I'm going to make an effort to spend a weekened every so often away from the city in nature just to give my brain something different to experience. This is just how my brain is I guess. Everyone has some problems to work with in life, this seems to be mine

      hi you two, i suggest you do see a therapist or psychologist (you may try out a few to see who works best for you). When I found one that more or less worked for me, it helped me quite a bit. my ocd hasn't completely gone but she provided me with 'tools' which i try to use. also if you see a psychologist or a support group, there will be some kind of support system for you which you might appreciate. i still struggle a lot so i understand your struggle and i hope that it would get better all of us. i'm sending you courage.

    I refuse to do a meditation with an advertisement in it as you get relaxed. You got to be kidding.

      Elliott B Hi Elliott. Try as we might, we are unable to remove the ads. Even though we own the track (weird copyright problems) You should however be able to avoid the ads by clicking ‘Skip Ads’ before the video starts. If this does not work, the meditation is also available on all streaming services. Sorry the ads have spoiled your enjoyment, rest assured we’ll continue to try and get these removed, as many others have had the same issue. Daniel - Easy Peace

    Please. I literally feel like I’m not human, like I’m just whatever the hell pops up into my brain. It’s so unfair. I’m nice to everyone, I try to do good to everyone because I want to be treated good, and still these fucking thoughts somehow have a say in how I feel and it’s affecting literally every single part of my life. I just want to be a normal 18yo fucking man

      So sorry to hear you’re going through this. I would really truly recommend reaching out to your GP or local mental health services if you haven’t already. For me they suggested Exposure Response Prevention therapy and it has changed my life for the better. I honestly forget I have Pure OCD most of the time. The thoughts barely register. More is known about this condition now and they will be able to help you. Just know that it can get better, it won’t always be like this.
      I’d also really recommend Mark Freeman’s videos. Recovered OCD’er with amazing practical tips to dealing with intrusive thoughts.
      I truly wish you all the best in your recovery and get the support you need. You are not your thoughts. Stay strong ❤️

      Kelly Sikora Hi Kelly. Sorry these are spoiling the meditation at the moment. I’m trying to get these removed. TH-cam have added recently without my permission and it’s proving difficult getting them to stop. If it helps at all this meditation is available on Spotify and all other streaming services. Without ads (I hope!) Many thanks. Easy Peace

    You should know that there are people with anxiety disorders who freak out at the sound of a soft voice.
    That's why I can't listen to most guided meditations. Makes me want to jump out of my skin.

    • @anndestelle1321
      @anndestelle1321 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adam Honesty and decency This meditation is relaxing and you're right, it is a bit soft but there are some people who might like that. i can't wear earphones because it makes me uncomfortable and most times triggers various OCD thoughts or obsessions so i do miss out on some of the words he says if the room is not quiet enough. but so far, i do like this meditation so i will be keeping it. there are lots of anxiety videos and meditations out there, there are some by BuzzFeed. keep looking, hope you find the right one for you!

      Bonnie Pedder Can’t get rid of them I’m afraid. Though clicking ‘skip ads’ before the meditation starts should solve the problem. Alternatively this meditation is available on all streaming platforms, ad free (hopefully)!

    • @EasyPeaceMeditation

      Hi Lazaretto. If you select ‘skip ads’ before the video starts this should stop them playing during the meditation. Unfortunately I cannot fully remove them due to sync licensing issues (even though they are my own works) . If it helps, this meditation is available on Spotify and all other streaming platforms where ads won’t be an issue.
