Rod Stewart was definitely a ladies-man. He once gave an interview with Opera where she asked what his favorite thing to do was, when he wasn't touring... His answer was "making love to my wife." He has 8 kids, the youngest being born when he was 64. I saw him and Cindy Lauper in concert a couple of years ago, he's still amazing. 🤩
Rod’s foray into 70s Disco shocked many people, what was more shocking is how fast it flew off the record shelves! An absolute monster for its time that even got the REMIX treatment (popular for the time). Known as a true rocker, he definitely showed his diversity here. Cheesy as the title was, it was SO APPROPRIATE for the time.

Back in the late 90’s I used to go to a 70’s club, and this song would “seal the deal” for me every time. Not cause I was “sexy” or “hot”, but I was actually brave enough to dance to it with a stranger.

@@rayjohnson2387 I'm assuming that was a rhetorical question, but in case you are serious (maybe you're young) They were public phones that could be found outside of most stores and or on street corners up until about the mid 90's. Before the invention and use of cell phones became widespread.

@@rayjohnson2387 There's soon going to be a generation that doesn't even know what a pay phone is. I watched a video of a bunch of millenials, raised glued to their cell phone, trying to figure out a dial telephone. They couldn't do it. It was kind of fascinating, kind of terrifying to watch.

He's a regular guy, he had a meal at a small bar downtown and didn't draw attention to himself - everyone was delighted.

@@daviddixon6408 Disco started in 1970. But you are right, that album “Every Picture Tells a Story” was rock and blues style. It may have been his third album, but it was by far the one that got him into the spotlight. I love some of his later work where he covered some of the old ballads. They sound sexier in his voice.
‘You Wear It Well’ is a great Rod Stewart hit song. ‘I Was Only Joking’ and ‘Young Turks’ are good too.

The bass player is my cousin Phil Chen. Phil could play any genre of music and played with a number of big acts. He was obviously with Rod during his very successful "disco" phase. Phil passed away in December 2021, but he left a legacy of great music behind.
Rod Stewart is one of those rock stars that has such a long career his greatest hits collection covers more than one music CD.
I bought the four CD set of his greatest hits collection several years ago
More good Rod Stewart songs include "Some Guys Have All the Luck" and "My Heart Can't Tell You No" also "All For Love" with Bryan Adams and Sting.

I LOVE ALL THREE OF THOSE SONGS, but "All For Love" is a MUST. Each of those artists has such a unique voice, it's hard to think of any of them dueting with even one of the others and it's fitting that it would be the "Three Muskateers" theme song.

Went to Rods Do you think Im sexy tour. Wasn't a disco lover but he puts on one of the best concerts we've seen. I don't think Ive seen anybody move on stage as much as that man did! Unbelievably great talent! Closest ever got to liking disco, although he did a lot of his hits. Fantastic concert!

Rod is the God of music and so talented his songs will be a part of my and many people's lives I was only a baby when this was a hit but I heard his songs over the years growing up and loved them this and sailing in particular keep on rocking Rod and we all love you
