    I understand how four stroke engines work & rotary engines work but up till today I never understood two stroke engines. Now I do.
    Thank you.

    This explains the characteristic smell of the two stroke . Some of the raw mix excapes thru the exaust .sweet! Thank you very much.many many years nobody could tell me!

    My grey area with the 2 stroke began with the f/a mixture compressing underneath the piston and I never understood how it got into the combustion chamber. I never knew about the transfer ports. So thank you for this excellent demonstration!

    Wow! You actually cut one in half, that's really great. I'm not exactly new to this stuff but man, thats really above and beyond. Learning tools like that are completely invaluable. Cut aways are probably my favorite tool for engineering explanations, I'm really surprised this is the first time I've seen one of these China girl/Russian type motors cut open. Very cool, sorry for the super long comment 😅 definitely got a subscriber here lol.

    fantastic visualization! you gave me what i needed to know. now im changing my bearings, trueing my piston, trimming the skirt for max airflow, then porting my intake and exhaust, and now jetting... boy, i have a lot of work to do. im still more interested of timing. and i have yet seen a video of the benefits on widening or cutting deeper. so im still on the fence on it. for now i think what i can do will help it tremendously possibly giving me 40mph on my 80cc zeta motor.

      The newer engines with these open transfer ports like in the video used on the Zeda Triple 40 come much better stock than the old closed port designs from years ago. The jugs aren't full of casting burrs & ports are already better shaped & angled from the factory. Same with the shape of these open transfer ports that push the intake charge towards the intake side of the cylinder instead of letting it get wasted & blown out the exhaust when it flows straight into the cyl. I bought a $120 Anbull that was good for the money just wish it had 8mm mount studs and hex/allen bolts. It looks like a Zeda Triple 40 minus the 8mm mounts & hex/allen bolts. The stock jetting was actually perfect when I ran it with the air filter off. The spark plug was a perfect brown color, to my surprise.

    Great video! An awesome way to see the steps of the combustion series and pathways. In regards to porting, and perhaps you plan to touch on this in future videos, is the manifold ports. On your cutaway where the intake manifold marries to the cylinder head intake port, there’s an obvious “step” at the bottom that looks like it may restrict a bit of the intake gasses. I hope to see more videos that show things to look for on our China Dolls. Thanks again, bud!

    I am getting ready to replace my china bearings with the amazon ones you recommend. I have searched all utube videos. I know to use a arbor press on installation of bearings. Installing the oil seals not so much... Install them dry? Use oil? The 66cc Million dollar question I think only Eugene can answer. I mounted an 80cc 2 stroke kit on a road bike with an in-hub gear, my question is: should I remove the gears system or is it fine if I just leave it there. • @HughesMotorized
      @HughesMotorized  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The starter has a cog/gear that pushes it to engage w/ the crankshaft when you pull on the rope. When it is not spinning a spring pushes it away and it no longer makes contact w/ the crankshaft

      Air intake leak most likely. Check that carb is fully pushed onto the intake. Then inspect intake gasket & mount. Could be crankshaft seals or even an issue in the case gasket. Spray WD40 on areas while engine is running and if the engine changes sound then you found the leak
