    The search for a dive watch is exhaustive, but the 300t is my leading contender. Eliminated Bremont, Breitling, and Ulysse Nardin. This is simply the coolest looking one of the lot bar none.

  • @NickNick-id8sb
    @NickNick-id8sb ปีที่แล้ว +5

    One of the best divers in the market. Historically it's the first watch with a helium escape valve. Jacques-Yves Cousteau wore this watch and also helped with the disign. Orange is the most legible colour under water. The bezel also indicates the decompression limits. It doesn't get more professional than that. Yes, I agree that you can get a diving watch with better specs at the 2000 dollar price point. But if you are a diving watch enthusiast it doesn't get any better than this. Definitely top 5.

      @@ClickSpringReview I agree. DOXA added the better movement in the wrong watch. The plain DOXA 300 has a COSC certified movement but has a much smaller depth rate (300m), no helium valve and it's priced above the 300T. Wrong decision. It was probably done to keep the price down.

    Have the 300 and 300T. Both comfortable watches. Only issue which worries me and I’ll have to check sometime is my 300T doesn’t have a helium release valve? It is only about 18 months old from a UK authorised dealer.
    The 300 doesn’t either but it has a lower depth rating. A comparison of the 300 and 300T is worth doing. The former is perhaps a more versatile watch for every day wear. More of a desk diver than a serious tool watch.

    I do enjoy your channel and thank you for the vid but I think the review would have benefited from some more constructive criticism of the piece. You mention in another comment that the watch doesn’t interest you- perhaps the review could have explored why not. Though I have not handled the watch in person, the bracelet has a clunky appearance and there is poor articulation from the end links. Also, as an aside, Doxa is not the same company of old, the intellectual property was simply sold on to a series of new owners that have at various times exercised the right to make “Doxa” watches.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ziemek ,
      The end links I don't mind as they do angle down and as the lug to lug size is less then 45mm they work well and you can see it sits on my wrist very well ,
      The clasp is long but being the watch is 42.5mm its not so much of a problem but if the watch was any smaller then that I'd see it differently,
      The SW200-1 movement performance wise is no difference to the ETA 2824 in fact the Selita has one extra jewel fitted to the mainspring barrel upper which is a plus in my eyes , the only problem I have is they only use the Elabore grade and not Top grade in this one its ok but in other Doxa's I've tested its not been.

      Doxa already had a perfect end link design with full articulation on the 1200T which uses the exact same case as the modern 300T. I will never, in a million years, understand what they were thinking when they decided to make the end links on the 300T rigid and significantly increase the lug-to-lug width. As far as I'm aware, they are still using an ETA 2824-2 in the Sub 300T.

      @@frankschroth4038 Hi Frank, I've reviewed 3 different models now from them and they do have a unique look to them which I like but they just don't feel as good as other watches at the price range , 600T model the bracelet is very poor at that price mark the dial left me wanting more , 300T I find the dial is just so tiny when compared to the case size and the bracelet isn't as flexible as it could be say I do feel the watch could be better if there was more brush work to the bezel and case , BUT this is only my opinion Sir

      In one of the Dirk Pitt books the lume on his Doxa helps him avoid drowning, I guess if he had one of the newer models he would just be 🪦
