      Fun fact: Siamese fighting fish who do not live in hard enough water end up with curly fins because the bones in the rays don't experience enough resistance from the water to stay straight, and it also causes a lack of calcium resulting in softer ray bones.

    Back in the 80s, on a U.S. history test I was asked in the short answer section to describe the "Shakers". Part of my response was "The Shakers were a religious organization that practiced celibacy. They practiced because they had a difficult time getting it right." I got full credit and the prof read the answer to the class later on. :)

    • @firsttpt
      @firsttpt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@barbaro267 Outside of a history class, about the only time today you would only hear the term "Shaker" would be if someone was talking about a particular style of furniture -- simple well constructed of solid wood without a lot of decoration. If you belong to a group that discourages having children ... your group isn't going to last many generations (they were very actively involved in adopting orphans). I seem to recall (although it's been a while and I may be misremembering) that they would put pegs on the walls where they would hang their chairs during the daytime in order to discourage people from sitting down and therefore being idle.

    Hard water is water that has high mineral content (in contrast with "soft water"). Hard water is formed when water percolates through deposits of limestone, chalk or gypsum, which are largely made up of calcium and magnesium carbonates, bicarbonates and sulfates.
    Hard drinking water may have moderate health benefits. It can pose critical problems in industrial settings, where water hardness is monitored to avoid costly breakdowns in boilers, cooling towers, and other equipment that handles water. In domestic settings, hard water is often indicated by a lack of foam formation when soap is agitated in water, and by the formation of limescale in kettles and water heaters. Wherever water hardness is a concern, water softening is commonly used to reduce hard water's adverse effects

One of the words my daughter found in the dictionary was masochist and I could tell she didn’t understand the definition because her sentence was “I have a masochist on my knee” she only understood the pain part I laughed and she got mad when I told her she had to redo it.

    4:16 wait wtf is this teachers answer that proves nothing :') How do you know the number in the one's place is even. It is divisible by two without remainder, that's why. Saying the one's place is even is just shoving the question back at the one that asked it and let them fix it for you xD

    • @ThatBlackPiano
      @ThatBlackPiano 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to read the FULL question just above, yo! The student knew too AND wrote that the answer to the previous question was “even”. The teacher wanted the last answer to be that the reason for the answer being what it was was because the number was even.

    • @reznovvazileski3193
      @reznovvazileski3193 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ThatBlackPiano I'm not arguing the question am I? I'm arguing the incorrect correction on the answer. They want to test if you understand what it is that makes a number even, but then they continue themselves to correct the answer without showing an understanding of what makes the number even :')
      By saying it's even because it's first digit is even all you're saying is that any even number put behind any other number is also an even number. So 13 and 2 could make 132 and it will be an even number. But we still show 0 insight in why it is even, just that it is, which was already obvious from the question he answered above.

    Hard water is water with mineral content such as calcium and it doesn't allow for solute to be dissolved easily since the concentration of the water is already high. Soft water is the opposite it is water that has low mineral content an example is tap water and it allows for solutes to be dissolved easily. Oh and water is also known as a universal solvent. I'm just a science student guys I love bio and chem isn't too bad.

    2:24 that is a tremendously stupid question to be honest xD "How many does he have now?" would be the correct way to ask what they're fishing for but written like this the number of possible answers is much greater than just that :')
    Bob does indeed have a name at the time slightly after eating those 29 candy bars so "a name" would be correct.
    Any answer in the format >=X Candy Bars with X being any number up until 7 would be correct as what does not restrict to an exact numerical answer.
    Any part of the mouth, and the vital organs are all safe assumptions here given the information he ate 29 Candy Bars.
    Even a digestive system is safe to assume given the fact he didn't die in excruciating pain after the first one.
    I can keep going for a while and every single one of those answers are technically correct under the restrictions of "what" :') So to those still believing there are no stupid questions, here's one xD

    • @barbaro267
      @barbaro267 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lol no. They just stay out of the sun, put on lots of makeup, and/or use photoshop or the snow app on their phones to make their skin lighter. In Korea, China (I think), and Japan, there is a long history of those who would be seen as attractive for having paler skin because it was a sign of high class. Nobles would not be out in the sun, hence they had paler skin. People wanted to be viewed as high class, so they would purposefully stay out of the sun and apply makeup to appear paler. I've seen photos of Japanese girls out in the sun together, but they were all using umbrellas LOL. It's super weird, because in the West, having pale skin makes you look ill. I watch a lot of Chinese dramas and occasional k-dramas, and actors with pale skin always creep me out because sometimes they look as white as corpses. They see that attractive, even today 😂
