When they said 0-60 I just figured MPH because I'm American, then I realized it was 0-60 KPH. Which is like 0-35mph and it took 11.5 seconds... I think that's the slowest car I've ever seen.

Remove the engine and you will get even more weight reduction.
You need to break the ceramic on the spark plug and throw the ceramic at the window to break it, not throw the whole spark plug at the window lollll.

I did this to a 1993 VW golf hatchback just to check myself. The car was bought simply for the EFI system for my Sand Rail, Everyday going to work i saw this kid who has the same car just beat to shit even worse, Instead of throwing everything out and braking it i spoke with his parents and replaced it all to his car for free. When the kid saw his car he literately started crying. lol
I found the best thing you can do to an old car to make it seem like it's faster is tighten down the throttle cable. Seriously, when cars get old the throttle cable stretches out giving it some slack. Manipulate the adjustments on the throttle cable linkage going into your throttle body and expect a slight improvement in throttle responsiveness.
It isn't "spark plugs" that break glass, it's the porcelain on a spark plug or porcelain in general that shatters glass with ease. Next time, gently smack the end of the spark plug with a mallet to get rock size chunks of the white porcelain, then throw them at a car window. It will seem like you just threw a cinder block not a small chunk of porcelain.

you can basically get anything pointy to break the glass, because side and rear windows are made of tempered glass, which is very strong, unless you're beating it with something pointy, like a rock that kics up, then it shatters into a milinillion little pieces

its not the plug that breaks glass, its the white porcelain around it. break a piece off and toss. itll break very easily
It's the ceramic of the spark plug that breaks the window.
You don't throw the whole spark plug, just the porcelain insulator part. Break off with pliers and even a small bit will shatter a window easily.

Drove a Mazda 323 1.3l sedan rental car for a while. It had over 400,000 km on it! But it was so much fun to drive. Really solid cars, can take almost any amount of abuse and still keep going.

well doesn't it make sense to keep your right hand, the hand most people write with and have greater strength and reflexes with on the wheel at all times rather than using your clunky left hand. Saftey was a major factor in pretty much abandoning manual gearing in left hand drive countries.

You are supposed to take the ceramic part of the spark plug (smash with hammer) and hit the window with it. It shatters since it is tempered glass under pressure. the vibrations make it crack. Pretty neat when you do it also.

No, that was kmh because in Australia they use KMH because no way that car could do 0-100mkh in under 10 seconds. Most subcompacts these days are lucky to do 8 seconds 0-100kmh

Why can't these guys be my neighbors?
One of my friend's goals is to reduce the weight out of his car, without any appearance changes. He has lose over 200lbs already by just hole sawing useless panels behind the trim, taking out plastic clips, removing sound deadening, and lightweight performance parts. He has made his car noticeably faster. Although I keep telling him removing the air bag is a bad idea.

If you crack a piece of the white insulation out of the Sparkplug... it is micro sharp which is pretty much the only way to break tempered glass (what your side and back windows are made of)

Small cheating: you revved the engine a lot more on the second run, which will always give you better acceleration regardless.

Austin Murphy It's not exactly realistic to expect any actual performance gains for free either. I guess you can do some reasonable weight reduction, but that doesn't involve taking out more than the seats, carpets, and spare if you have any care or bit of respect for the car.

the spark plug does work you need to either break it and hit it with the ceramic or bend back gap and hit it with the top

60kph is 36mph, my smart does 0-60mph in 10 seconds, got a hi perf air intake, exhaust and a circuit that remaps the throttle for faster response. my new work commute is 6 miles, perfect, i'll use 1.5-2 gallons of gas a week, meaning fill up every 4-5 weeks LOL
***** my friend blows Brabus away, he's Paul Barnes of Barnes Machining in IL, he made custom turbo kits for smarts, only sold a few. he was cranking out over 150HP at the wheels of a smart, reflashed the ECU and he was topping 150mph in his, gas mileage suffered a bit.
I always used to think that a smart car is not very powerful in case it will fall onto it's back.
