    Thanks for this. I'll probably use it eventually. I hope to see more content as time goes on. One thing to add if I may: when trying to match lengths of tracks, I find accurate to select the track with the desired length, hit the end key to jump to the end of the clip, click the clip you with to crop/split, then hit the split button. This jumps the red line to the exact position needed to split. Then you can delete the undesired content. My apologies if this was already common knowledge...

    I found the cute typewriter clip template,where you can write a small bit of text on the little slip of paper, and then I found the template that sounds like actual typing on a typewriter template, but I can't figure out how to get the download into my Power Director--I'm trying to make a new intro for YT. I'm also new to Power Director and have been watching your videos. Is there a simple video that shows how to edit a video (for example, where you edit out things like "um's" and pauses)?

    Hey Brother, You came up in my research and I decided to purchased PD 14 because of your great videos. Your content has been super useful for helping to get me started. In the spirit of Starwars I was wondering If you could make a tutorial on how to do a lightsaber or lazer gun in PD 14. I know its possible adobe and Corel. So I'm assuming its possible on Powerdirecter, however your the only guy really putting advanced content out for Powerdirector. You don't have a video for how to make lightsaber on Powerdirecter and neither does anyone else right now.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +eli parker Not sure it can be done. I'll have to look around to see if it has the right effects. The issue is that PD has never had an effect to add the correct type of light to the laser or light saber image. If it has it I can do it, if not, I can't.

    • @IAMVIBRATIONMUSIC
      @IAMVIBRATIONMUSIC 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome thanks for responding! I know in coral you can use the lightning effect and adjust it through each frame. In Adobe you can cut out and highlight objects. Which I know is also possible in power director 14. I just have no idea how because the one tutorial I found for that was in German so not very helpful.

      Use nodes to size the PIP to fit the preview window, use keyframes to change the size from point a (preview window) to point b full screen. I would not do a tutorial on it as it is too specific. th-cam.com/video/7cmR5AI-NMU/w-d-xo.html

    Always love what you do with the channel keep it coming, got some questions.
    1. Is it possible to dowload music videos or movie clips to your editing when making a video if only using the ten seconds rule or will it get flagged.
    2. If its possible how? Reason for asking is I've been watching other vlogs where people are put small clips in to spice up their vlogs.

    • @PDU_Tutorials

      +shanard tilson Anytime you use a video that is not part of the public domain that someone can claim the rights to, you run the risk of getting a copyright strike. I stay away from stuff like that. I only use clips that I own or have the rights to use.

    • @splasher7
      @splasher7 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did a search on digitaljuice.com with my account open and did a serch for the song title you have listed above and there was one song and several sound effects that came up, but none the well known Star Wars theme song. I cant even find the Legacy products section on the website I don't know the album title name.
      Thanks in advance for the song clarification or pointing me in the direction of the Legacy products area of the website.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      BTW, I did not use the Star Wars soundtrack. I used a different song. 10:23. I guess you know that since you searched it already...just making sure. Here is the song info.
      Song Title: Cyborg Gladiator
      Album: DigitalJuice BackTraxx 2
      If you look up the album (BackTraxx 2) it might pull up all the songs for that album. To be truthful with you, the DJ search function isn't very good. If you are still unable to find the song, go to the DJ website, login, and leave a message about how you are unable to find the song. Hopefully one of the moderators will help you.
      Legacy products might not come up if you don't have any Legacy products. It shows for me under the main drop down list on the left at the top of the page.

    Hi Maliek and company. Thanks to you I learnt a lot about PowerDirector, that's why I follow your videos.
    Anyway, I have a question that probably it should be interesting for everybody.
    Imagine I used chroma key and the subject sometimes moved out of green clothe. So, I would like to use mask to fix it,. Target would be a moving mask following that person, because sometimes mask needs to be big and some small.
    So, is there any solution to get a moving mask for excluding some parts of white wall?

    How do you install a custom font? I have a font I want to use that I downloaded from dafont.com but I'm not sure how to access it in powerdirector 14, or how to even open the .RAR file? Do you have a tutorial on that? Thank you!

    • @PDU_Tutorials

      +Lucy McKown _Download the font > Open the file > Click the Install button_. Once it is on your computer PowerDirector will recognize the font. So will *all* of you other programs that contain text capabilities.

      +TotalAsianAA Use a photo editor. Get a picture of a frame that you like and remove the background from the frame. Export the image as a transparent .PNG and bring it into PowerDirector. The video I made for Christmas was made using Adobe After Effects. It was not made using PowerDirector.

The problem is happening once i render my videos (using powerdirector 14).The videos that were completely clear on both my camera play back( 70D w/ kit lense) and laptop are now noisey and yellowish when i upload them to youtube. how can i fix it if the video is perfect until rendering is complete?

      Are you Producing straight to TH-cam or are you Producing a file and then going to TH-cam.com and uploading manually? If you are producing straight to TH-cam stop. Produce it to a MP4 file which should save the produced video on your computer. Then go to TH-cam.com in your browser and upload the video. I am working with the Star Wars Effect. I am installing a very long text file(speech). In order to install it I see that I have to install it in sections about the size/length of your example. When it is brought down into the timeline you have to make sure that you can see text in the thumbnail otherwise it is not working; you have a blank thumbnail. I have successfully installed the first three sections but I cannot remember exactly what I did. The library thumbnail on the last section does not indicate that it has any text in it. It says no data so when I when I click on it in the library while the first files indicate text. I think that you said that you do Pinnacle tutorials. I have a similar video editing program Corel Visual Studio which I can do this in. I want to move over to Power Director because of the additional features that it has. Please tell me how to accomplish what I am attempting to do in Power Director.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You asked me about this in the past and we came to a resolution that it can't be done the way you want it and to use Corel instead. Unfortunately, nothing has changed since then.

    • @gregoryevanscallaway3368
      @gregoryevanscallaway3368 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't want to be a nuisance but I was able to do this in the first three sections of the file that I am working on. My problem is that I don't know what I did or how to replicate it for the fourth and last section. I am not asking you to figure it out; I will just have to keep working on it until I luck up on what I did. If I luck up on it, I will let you know in the event someone else ask you this question.

      Sorry Mr. Whitaker: The submit button in the forum would not work after several attempts.
      This is how to place lengthy text such as a long church sermon in power director:
      Prepare your text in Notepad the length as long as you wish.
      Open Power Director full length feature.
      Your initial media file if a video will have to be reentered several times in order to match the final length of your long text file.
      If a Jpeg, you will have to keep lengthening it or reenter it until it matches the length of your text.
      Click on the icon for a new tile 2D
      Open the Title Designer.
      Copy your text from Notepad: Control A then Control C .
      You will have to experiment with the length of the text to initially copy from Notepad. I suggest using Mr. Whitaker's tutorial length for the Title Designer as an example but you can play around with it.
      Highlight the MyTile in Power Director and press delete, then Control V
      Make your adjustments for font text, color, size etc.
      In Object Settings uncheck Maintain Aspect Radio and adjust the size to your satisfaction in the preview window.
      Save as. Give it a name starting it (1).
      Bring it down to the Title Track under your video.
      Click Modify to set the duration of text section. I suggest two minutes, ten sections, zero frames
      You repeat this process for the next text section and keep repeating it until you have all the text copied section by section underneath your video or jpeg.
      When you go back to Notepad to bring in the next section, press delete to delete the section you have previously copied into power director; it will still be highlighted.
      Then copy the next section Control A, then Control C in order to bring it into The Title Designer. Start again with number nine above.
      GOOD LUCK!

    how doyou make your thumbnails?

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TotalAsianAA I make my thumbnails using Photoshop CS6. I use a background of the software and add a gaussian blur to it, I type the text I need, then I think of an item (video player, speakers, magnifying glass, etc.) to add that matches the theme of the video. I usually get the item from DigitalJuice.com.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Justino Bermudez It depends on what program you used to create the .png image and what the export settings were. Some programs ask whether you should keep the transparency or not while others just make the .PNG background transparent automatically.
