I am from Oregon, Tomawas has no crater because it was carried here by one of the Great Columbia River floods at the end of the ice age where the ice dam broke and massive Lake Missoula emptied, same floods created the scab lands of Eastern Washington and the giant Dry Falls.

@@travisgregg6113 A theory is something that has been proven and proven enough to be generally accepted as true. You are correct, the origin of the Willamete meteorite as an object carried from Canada or Montana to the Willamette valley is a theory; proven true. The Indians could not have known that it came from the sky because they never saw it land. That tribal mythology is suspect. By the way, an idea that is just a guess with no substantial support or evidence is a hypothesis. If you're going to criticize at least don't make such ignorant comments.

This makes sense, what you're saying. However, there are a few problems. Why is it alone? There ought to be large boulders and rocks strewn all over that area. And unless this meteor hit Lake Missoula, the fact that it's intact needs to be answered. Good comment on your part. Thank you.

That's what I thought. But if it hit around 12,000 BC or earlier, Oregon was under a mile or more of ice. It would've made a massive ice crater, but not scarred the earth. Then when the ice melted, it would have settled onto the ground. Or, of course, aliens placed it there for Indians to drink water from.

Late at night, after everyone has left the museum the Willamette Meteorite plays a 5-tone sequence of notes. People who have worked the security shift have seen the rock levitate during the music. But no one believes them. When they try to capture this phenomenon on film or with a smart phone camera all that appears in the photo is an image of a yeti playing a marimba. No easy explanation.

For those that are curious, the leading theory supported by the scientific community is that the meteorite crashed in Montana during the latest Ice age about 10-15 thousand years ago. It stayed in tact because the large ice sheet softened the landing. Much of the Ice Age glaciers that melted in Montana got trapped in a giant temporary lake at Missoula, before eventually flooding west across Eastern Washington, then down the Columbia River to the ocean. The meteorite was likely trapped in a large chunk of ice floating on the water as it flooded west. Eventually the flood waters backed up into the Willamette Valley (Portland area) forming a temporary lake, just before reaching the ocean, where the meteorite rested as the temporary lake waters slowly receded after a few days.
The meteorite isn't "alone", because there is evidence of other rocks of similar size or bigger becoming glacial erratics and traveling across the pacific northwest from their original location. It is, however, unique, because it's the only glacial erratic that size to not be from earth.

Fuego Dude Think about what Hillary Clinton means: we are going to crack the glass firmament ! She mentioned this phrase many many times during her campaign ; she does not mean at all the ceiling of the building of course ; if you watch American Moon documentary by Massimo Mazucco documentary ( 3 hrs version),you will see that nobody went to the moon in that time, all was a lie to the humanity ; because they realised that they could not break the firmament ; you should search for the satellites in the space , do they really exist ? or they balloons, or cable under oceans ,why sudddenly everybody is so much interested in Antartica? They are still lying about Mars , other planets, galaxies ....for those who want to believe it. This is enigmatic age ,it started in 1989 and will end on 1925. After that date, the truth will hopefully reveal itself . Only 5 % of the world population is now aware of it, but in 5 years , you will see that the space is actually somehere else than what you think.

Ming Thong Chai, they’ve got to keep the masses deceived so when they present the demonic fallen angels to the world as “interstellar extraterrestrial alien gods”, the masses will believe their lies. They’re interdimensional beings, who are the fallen angels who have always been around, & who have presented themselves numerous times to prior civilizations as our creators, but they are lying demons. Call upon Jesus Christ and they will flee. The Bible tells you all about them, how they shape shift, and how they appear in the sky as “UFO’S”. It’s because they’re interdimensional that they don’t have to comply to the natural laws of our world. Also, they despise humans. God loves us and gave us a plan of redemption through our Lord Jesus Christ, but they are destined for the lake of fire because they weren’t given a way to be redeemed. These liars that promote this extraterrestrial deception should be ashamed of themselves.
