Unlike other cases that Megan covered... This one is just so sad, heartbreaking and heart touching at the same time, in a way that she loved him dearly...
Not to this extent but I read a similar case here in India recently, where a young man was absent from office work for a whole year during the pandemic. When his higher ups paid him a visit they were shocked to find a full blown almost mummified corpse of the man. The parents told them that he contracted Covid and went into a coma.. when in reality he was declared dead but the parents were sure to have seen movement and refused to cremate him.. so they had him back at home, bathed and took care of him for a whole year!
I hope the family members, especially the children, received psychological help. This was indeed bizarre but also heartbreaking. We deal with the death of a loved one differently and this is an extreme example, hard to wrap our heads around, but I hope sympathy lets us be kind. Thank you again for this, Megan and team. We truly appreciate your hard work!
Isn't there a group of people on an island in Asia who live with the dead bodies of their loved ones for several years before burying them? I wonder if they were from that area originally.
There was a case, here in the UK recently, where a family kept the body of their daughter/sister for six weeks. She had stopped eating and wasted away. The family are Japanese and are very isolated from the local community. They also speak a rare Japanese dialect amongst themselves so it was difficult to even find police translators once the story came to light. They believed that the daughter was nourishing herself by "eating her soul" and even continued to believe it for months after the trail. The trail was halted after it was determined that the family members suffered from a rare form of delusional disorder. It is such a heart breaking story.
I recently listened to this case on another true crime channel. It was very interesting but also very sad. Herself and her siblings were very well educated but apparently they followed a form of Buddhism and believed the sister was ascending to a higher level of consciousness. They basically had a little cult inside their family.
Are you saying she disappoints us? Because, never fails to disappoint means that she never fails to disappoint us and always fails to make us happy or satisfied. Fix your grammar next time.
Poor lady. My heart goes out to her. She loved him so much that the idea he was no longer with her was too much for her to take. I pray she and her family obtain peace. Great job, Megan! It was a great morning for me to start with one of your videos!
This reminds me of a story from my school English book. the story goes like - A mother lost her son due to illness and carried him on his back from one house to another in the neighbourhood asking for medicine for her 'ill' child not believing he was dead. everyone thought she had gone crazy and one person recommended her to visit lord buddha on the hill and she did visit him and asked for medicine. he asked her to bring mustard seeds from a house where no loved one has died. She asked and asked but was unable to find mustard seeds from any house where no one died, she gave up and went back to lord buddha and later understood that death is a part of life and everyone has to lose someone in this life and that's it - the end - it was like 98% similar to this there might be some other tiny details that I might have missed. BTW amazing story telling loved it
This one is really so heart breaking. She was in denial for all those 7 years, this was unlike other cases you covered. Props to your way of narrating the cases, Megan. I just found you channel some 3 days ago or so
Such as sad story, but it wasn't very shocking aside from the fact that the body was preserved for 7 years. There have been cases where mothers whose babies have died, couldn't deal with it then sometimes they would be given a doll that they believe is their alive baby. I'm happy that the wife wasn't charged as I believe she thought she was doing the right thing honestly. But I hope the children aren't too badly affected by this mentally, especially in the future. Death is a subject that can seriously affect even the "smartest" of people, no matter what.
I just found your channel two days ago and I'm really enjoying your videos. I'll be honest, I hesitated to click due to the thumbnail (I usually avoid TC content where TH-camrs put themselves on the thumbnails) but I'm glad I gave it a shot. Your delivery is excellent; your pacing, tone, pronunciation of foreign names and compassion you show towards the victims are all great. I also really appreciate that you don't censor words or sanitize the horrific crimes for monetization purposes. As saddening as it is to learn about these cases, I'm glad your shining a light on Asian TC and the awful justice system in many Asian countries.
You are such a great story teller and you a becoming one of my favorite true crime channels! I frequently recommend your channel to people wanting to watch more true crime from around the world. Lots of love and keep up the great work ✨
Something about this is truly chilling, because she really did believe her husband was still alive. And even their children believed that their father was still alive... Like its insane, seeing multiple people in a sense of delusion over the death of a family member. I know people handle grief, passing, etc. in all different manners but.... What the hell.
I think there are some Buddhist legends about monks who go to the top of a mountain and basically starve themselves to death but all of the people believe they are alive they have just ascended beyond needing any food or water. Sounds a lot like this case.
you are such a consistent uploader and your content is always top notch! you don’t miss any details and describe everything in the most narrative way! LITERALLY SO UNDERRATED BUT IM SURE YOU’LL BLOW UP SOON, LOVE FROM INDIA

I found your channel a few days ago and bro i am already in love with your content. You are seriously doing a great job by making people about how extreme people can get.
If they found no preserving done to his body there is only one other way a body won't decay, and that is by keeping it extremely cold. This says she new he was dead and kept the room he laid in very very cold. There is no other way to keep a body from decaying. Absolutely heartbreaking 💔🌹

First visit to your channel. Love your voice and your delicate, respectful story-telling style. There are so many channels where women or girls do true crime along with some other gimmick like putting on make up or something else odd. That style is organic and it is like they are telling you a story while you are sitting in the room. Provided it is a case I don't know about, I will watch but I find they don't treat the subject matter with the reverence it deserves and the production values are quite low. Your production value is very high, which I like; but, I will have to see more to see if it is over-produced, which can be distracting or condescending to the viewer. I can't make that judgment until I see more. I am glad a woman is doing these topics with high production value as there are many men doing it. I'm looking forward to more. A nice voice to fall asleep to.

India needs to run a mental illness awareness campaign bcs so many cases hv come up in recent years. People need to be educated.
