As much as i am excited about the new intro, i gotta agree that the old opening theme gave somewhat eerie vibe to the video. Im happy for both opening. But if i may choose, i will choose the old one
I'm a Filipina who has watched Megan from the start and I just realized most if not all the Filipino crimes she's shared mentions drugs. I'm not conplaining, it just makes me feel really sick to my stomach because I live with a family member who refuses to acknowledge his addiction and it's making our whole family suffer. And then when I go to Facebook there's random posts relating to drug use and people in the comments just having fun and acting cool and tagging others they know can relate so they can laugh some more and feel even cooler. And here I am, with parents who've lost their savings just to rescue that family member. My anxiety leads me to bite my nails until they bleed, pull out hair from my head, and work 14 hours a day just to avoid further financial ruin. So to hell with all you involved in the drug business. You can't fool me with that "but drug addicts are victims" bullshit. Your family and friends who don't do drugs and suffer from your actions are the real victims.
nail biting was the easiest bad habit i ever broke. you just need to stop yourself whenever you get the urge by keeping it in the forefront of your mind. it can become an unconscious habit. same thing goes with twisting your hair or pulling strands through your fingers. i wish you well
Drug addiction is a mental illness though even our laws concerning illegal drugs, the objective is to save the addict and punish the pushers, it’s the pushers and drug lords who are to blame, often times addicts are more common on poor places where drugs could be sold cheaper, so the drug problem is economic and mental illness.
Get over it. This is real life. And it happens in the Philippines. If it doesn't apply to you personally and your family then get over it. Because people are wise enough to know (or at least I would assume) to start being ignorant and racist towards Filipinos because of that. And if they do. Thats Their prerogative
me too ! i love that she narrates the video with profesionalism and respect ❤, unlike alot of other true crimes youtuber that talk about the cases like its drama or ghosip :/
OMG IM SO EARLY. cant wait to watch this new case from my country though I have never heard of it... Edit: I just watched this... unfortunately, it's not surprising that Philippine authorities are not competent enough to do their job, allowing Park to keep on escaping and smuggling drugs even if he is detained/imprisoned.
Filipino policemen can be bought by money 😂😂😂 not all.. but most of them .. drug lords here in the philippines live inside a 5 star hotel-like jail , and can conduct concert inside too 😂😂😂
I am from the Philippines but I haven't heard of this case. Thank you so much for this informative video, Megan. I am so ashamed of our corrupt police officers. We are in a country where justice is only for the rich and powerful. A hotspot for criminals because they know they can get away with anything as long as they have money. I know not all police officers are corrupt but most of them are.
Honestly, same. I've never heard of this case. Funny cause when I was selling donuts in a bus terminal, a police officer was assigned to increase police visibility in the area because Panagbenga Festival was around the corner and a lot of people were riding buses to get to Baguio City. He liked the free donuts, then tried to convince me to become a cop myself, as a 25 year old female. I mentioned I was an IT undergrad, he mentioned they were severely understaffed. I thought I hard it pretty hard working 12 hour shifts with no day offs, but this guy was working 36 hour shifts. I'm not making excuses for other corrupt policemen, but their job is f*cking hard, man. And then when they take a nap in their cars people take pictures and say "Oh, look at this cop sleeping on duty"
We Filipinos complain and make fun of our corrupt police force but I've always wondered how that came to be in the first place. I find it hard to believe there's anyone applying to become a police officer because they want to get corrupt, I think most must have had good intentions at first. But a combination of low salary, extremely inhumane working hours, defiant and undisciplined citizens, and bosses who are already corrupt and can fire them or target their families if they stick to their moral standards will definitely change most if not all people.
@@VermontConnection Agreed, unless they want to be killed or so, those police officers that actually harbors good intentions really has no choice but to obey those corrupt higher ups.
Most of it has to do with foreigners so it doesn't get much noise. Know about those two Canadians that got beheaded in Mindanao? Me neither. I just saw a comment about it on a TH-cam video of an ABSCBN news.
Hi megan... there was this case in india... in 2018... asifa kathua gang rape and murder... please cover this one... politics, religions everything was involved... it was a very very disturbing reality and shook the nation
I won't say everything here you'll get what trying to say when you research about that case... but it was an eight year old little girl and I was in school giving my pre board exams when I read it in newspapers in school the next morning when it was discovered and informed by media
I'm watching from the Philippines. I am not watching news anymore but I also didn't heard about this issue. Thank you Megan for sharing this true crime stories.
Ngl this case makes it SUPER obvious why drugs are so stigmatized in Asian countries. I think it focuses a bit too much on users and addicts but those who sell them can be extremely dangerous and have no issue taking people's lives. This is why addicts and users should be protected and given treatment and DISTRIBUTORS should be harshly criminalized. This is pretty bad...
Maybe I’m just imagining things but I remember your older videos having subtitles built in. I actually liked that feature; made the videos more accessible and helped with names here and there. If I’m not just imagining things please consider bringing back the subtitles.

Hi Megan, love your voice. Love your contents..love your stories. I would like to suggest "Singapore Spooner Road old flats" as a potential story for your "dark matters" segment. Please look at all the supernatural and horror stories about this place. You will find it very interesting
It was just so sad that foreign citizens are the ones who are harming their own people and the Philippines would be reflected as a dangerous country because of that. Like situations had happened to chinese nationals perpetrated by chinese people also, and it continues to happen up to this day. Hope the authorities would be strict on the persons coming in the Philippines and a scant check up on the authorities of immigration and customs be made annually.
As a filipino, I'm very disappointed with our justice system even cooking drugs inside the prison. How police managing the situation poorly such a shame.
I don't know why the Phil. Police is holding him, I mean, isn't it better if he is detained and will serve his jail time in Korea? He did escape Phil. prison multiple times albeit. Why keep him here? Is it because he is notorious? Someone that can serve as 'trophy' to the police? or because he is rich that there are many corrupt officials who benefits from him?
His three convicted murders and potential involvement in others were in the Philippines, not South Korea. It would be absurd for a country to send such a suspect to another country where his crimes are of a lesser degree (drug trafficking).
😢😢 and feel shame to watch this.. shows how corrupt and lazy most of the Philippines Police..the paradise of criminals all around the world of course easy to manipulate the justice system if you have plenty of money that's real/facts!
