I followed the instruction and made the door hangers for my 2019 JLU’s full doors. The only caveat is that, using 1/4” by 3-3/4” eye screws, when you put the front door on, it’s so heavy that the screws are bent as soon as the door’s weight is put fully on the eye screws. I replaced with 5/16” by 4” eye screws and made sure 2.5” of screw is torqued into the lumber, and it worked perfectly. GREAT instruction and it works like a charm
I followed your video and the step-by-step instructions and made a hanger for my garage this afternoon - took me around an hour but I took my time. It turned out great and I will ultimately build 3 more of these in case my Gladiator and my wife’s Wrangler have all the doors off at the same time. Thank you so much for this video and all your other videos - as a relatively new Jeeper I have learned a lot from you!
Finally a simple door hanger! I was trying to come up with a budget way of making hangers for my LJ and when I saw the eye bolts, I was like well why didn’t I think of that!?! Genius sir, simply genius. Thank you brother!
Well done. Made a double rack for my 4 gladiator door yesterday. Only thing I did differently was offset the heights slightly so the hold-open plungers don't hit.
So simple yet so ingenious all at once. Kicking myself for not coming up with something like this after sooooo many years of moving Jeep doors around my garage.
Thanks for the video, I built 2 sets of them today for our 2021 Sahara 4Xe. I already had the lumber and the screws, went to the hardware store and spent 8 bucks on eye bolts.
Yes, I have a manual 2018 Wrangler JL, 2-door, soft top with manual windows! Retro baby! You need a “man pedal” and two doors for the retro experience! Love your project.
This is so helpful. I really like the direction you are going with this new series. It is great to see you going back to basics. And welcome back. Your videos were missed.
Nicely done! Yet another reason for me to admire this channel (even if the footage in Lowe's was unnecessary fluff 😉). Thanks again for your effort to support the Jeep community.
@@wayalife Yours is now the first and sometimes the only channel that I visit when I'm seeking DIY advice for Jeepy stuff. I'm not just saying that; your practical content works for the Man-In-The-Street owner, which is most of us. Thanks again!
We’ll know my wife is wondering why I have all these things in my shop for a Jeep and no Jeep! Hope to finally get our Jeep Wrangler unlimited this year. Great video!
Brilliant!!! I just bought my first jeep, it's a 2015 Rubicon JKU. It already has a lot of aftermarket goodies installed so I'm ahead in the customization department. I'm loving the diy door hangers.

Super badass!! Thanks again! You are saving me close to $1,000 between the door hangers for my 4-door and the top hoist. You should have ended the video standing directly between the two doors hanging. They would have looked like wings. I’m subscribing. So glad I found your videos!
ok you get a thumbs up...in the summory put all the parts..only suggestion I have! I have a question...Can you just use the eye bolts and skip the lumber?
I did this for my cj. Took a old bemch swing, fabricated some side steps and some door hangers aswell but they go thru the window frame. Put some foam on it so i dont sctratch the inner window frame
Thanks for this video. I have been looking for door hangers for our Jeep with spring approaching and most online are crazy expensive as are most Jeep accessories. I'm going to build this shortly!

amazing! I built them and they rock! the same with the hard top hoist you shared! THANK YOU!!! BUT as a new jeep owner for the love of God how do you fold in the side mirrors? They are so tight. They don't budge. I am afraid to break something. Thanks!
Awesome! Glad I could be of help and the mirror will fold it. Easier to do when they're still on your Jeep though. Just hold either side of them with your hands and push and pull at the same time.
@@wayalife thanks for getting back to me. I have tried but the plastic sounds like it’s snapping. Does it matter if the mirror has blind spot monitoring? I am thinking maybe they don’t fold due to internal wiring etc?

In this way the hooks would be 2 inches apart from each other and you would hook the lumber to the wall in between the hooks , just in the middle of the lumber. Awesome DIY door hangers. I like how budget friendly this is as well, Jeep “things” are always so over priced when $16 here gets you what you need!

ok you get a thumbs up...in the summory put all the parts..only suggestion I have! I have a question...Can you just use the eye bolts and skip the lumber?
As in, just put the eye bolts into the wall? If you do that, your doors will not sit flush to the wall as the mirrors will push them away from it
