    Have you read the book The New Trail of Tears? It talks a lot about how modern natives are suffering on reservations.

    Thank you for this. I hope it gets shared far and wide. One thing though: I’m not sure how antisemitism fits in.

      It’s a rather complex issue. A lot of the antisemitism stems from the idea of white superiority held by many American settlers back in the 1800s. White people believed that they were the superior race and therefore felt that it was their duty to “civilize” Native folk and take their holy land for industrial development. There is several other ways that racism played a factor in the Natives current present day conditions, but the concept of the “white mans burden” is where it all stems from.
