Film from 1994. I visited there 2 years ago, along with other Amerindian ruins. Impressive and fascinating place. A lot of change in info, findings, attitudes, etc since then. People still battle over what Chaco was. It is a landmine for all sorts of conflicting agendas and worldviews.

The Anasazi only lived there about 300 years and they came from South America. They were slavers and cannibals, slaves built the pueblo, They did not abandon the pueblo, the Holey people of the Navajo came and killed them all.

They would cut the feet off their slaves to cripple them..years later when America was overtaken by the cover of dark, the school system was bought out, then we were taught that it was the Europeans were the slavers, but those conquerors were from the European countries of Spain,Portugal and Italy, while it’s blamed on the “blue eyed devil” when in reality, that was the description of the gods.. sounds like “Satans” work. The “s*****gue of satan”. (You know who)
I’ve heard this very story from Hopi chiefs ..

Such a fascinating place!!...So many questions; the overall geographic 'footprint' is quite massive. Leads me to believe the population could have been quite large, perhaps in the low 'thousands'???... Just an uneducated guess on my part, could have been higher or much smaller. Either way a substantial number of people....
How did they feed that many people, what was their main source of food??...What was their water source, did they trade with other Pueblos??... And the ultimate question, what happened to the people, why was the Pueblo abandoned, was it due to war with another tribe, famine, illness??? I would love to know the answers to these questions...

They had slaves, that I’m sure didn’t eat well, but before the ansazi were there, the Hopi tribe farmed the land. So they could produce their own food. They raided for other things they needed. According to the Hopi and Navajo people.

and all wrong. do not believe outsiders, believe the ppl who lived it and know the history and have the stories. I told a small bit of it in my book of a comment. The "Anasazi" were a rogue band of Aztecs. They worshipped the darkness, and destroyed themselves. They went insane, most likely a prion disease from eating each other. Proof of cannibalism has been found. There are no descendents.

@@DougBowen-uc9hythey were originators of the caucasian race.. ppl look over some of us did NOT come from the same creation.. The American Indian have a parable of when the creator came,he “zapped” some of them and they were gone and then “zapped” the others and “changed our dna and made us brown..we were pale skinned one time”. Their words. Look at the oldest photos of American Indians and ask yourself do they really look like modern Indians.. then ask yourself WHO do they actually look like. There is a reason why a very certain group of “elite” sent armies to wipe them out. It told the true story and “they” couldn’t have that. It was to turn everybody against the REAL 10 tribes. Why would you feel connection to a tribe that sacrificed and cannibalised people, enslaved the pueblo, and worshipped the darkness? Thats the truth about the Annazasi. Go listen to the Navajo Elder on TH-cam, you wont feel a connection to the Annazasi anymore. And there is no relation between the Annazasi and Pueblo....Pueblo were not descendants of any Annazasi. The Annazasi were only in the area for 300 years, and they came from Mexico. White archaologists and anthropologists are stupid and dont know anything and are wrong all the time about pre-Columbian American history.

Ha ha, I was wondering if anyone was actually aware of the cannibalism that took place at Chaco. They have no descendents. They came from the south, a rogue band of Aztecs. We told whitey they came from the south, but they didn't believe that at first either. So much of this is wrong, and still today what The Parks Dept. tells visitors is wrong. They won't allow the real history of Chaco get out. So those of us who know, tell as many as we can.
They were an evil ppl, who worshipped the darkness and their main economy was the slave trade. The Navajo called Chaco The House of Crying b/c of the wails and cries that came from the place. It would be lit up all night long, as they performed their "ceremonies". ....and so much more.
