You forgot to pull the lower leg of the spring to rest against the lower portion of the fuse. It's not easy, the spring must me twisted to enable spring tension on the striker. Needle nose plyers are needed for that job.
Not easy???? The top hole centered on the fuse head is where you place a thin rod through and under the striker with spring in place. Then you simply use your thumb and pull back the striker. Place the 2nd rod through the hand grenade pinhole to temporarily hold the striker back. Place the spoon over the fuse head and with slight tension on the spoon, pull out the rod you placed in the hand grenade pinhole and simply replace with hand grenade ring with the pin. I say use two rods because if you are actually repurposing these fuse heads with a primer and pyrotechnic charge that first rod acts as a safety to prevent accidental discharge.
Started out with the idea of fabbing motorcycle foot pegs out of dummy grenades..... aaannnndddd now im on a government watch list. Thanks youtube.
Bought one of these a month back for my pineapple grenade dummy that had no spring works perfectly thanks guys!
One question, I've been looking for a m67 grenade like the one used by the USMC for a long time, where I can get it, I would really appreciate it.
You can get one if you join the USMC.
It's getting harder and harder to find these spring kits. Used to be $15, now they're averaging $40-50 or more
New link?
Is covid 19 slowing down the distributon of these?
