    just getting a replacement now in 2020 for my PAW-1300 that served so well and still does. My light push button fell out and lost itself so I feel like a dude with a missing tooth. Getting the PRW-2500; basically same plus tide/moon graph; I don't even mind that it's using a slower sensor chipset. Maintenance free watch with lots of useful gadgetry. 🤙

    Thanks for the video - was thinking of getting a “new & updated” solar powered watch. Remembered that I still have my Pathfinder 1300 & guess what? Still works to perfection!! I’ve had it for about 12 years now, never had to do anything to it!! Hopefully it lasts another 12!! Thx for the video on “our watch model”!!

    The Casio Pathfinder (tough solar) has been in my possession for around 13 years and still going strong,

    *_I like how the Second Indicator on the dial on the Home Screen, serves as an analog second ticker in the digital age. Casio is the best, man!!!!_*
    *_This Pathfinder took a page from the book of the G-Shock G-7700, which has does virtually the same thing. Depending on the mode you're in, the second ticker functions in sundry ways. Sometimes it goes forward and sometimes backwards._*

    Thank-you. I've had mine for at least ten years. Cool camping with because the atomic signal hits my watch over night when it's in my tent. Get up and I see the signal bars as calibrated. Too cool.

    I greatly appreciate this video. I purchased a Pathfinder PAW1300 after watching your review of the watch.

    the battery indicator is the little H-M-L on the bottom which means high, medium, and low power

    @textthing 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    The signal from the Colorado electronic clock can cover up to 2000 miles, so I would imagine that if you're within that distance of an atomic clock it can still calibrate.

    Good review, I have the watch also, I like it, but its only con I have found is the case scratches more easily then other watches

    actually I believe any pathfinder has a compass. The SPF40, PAG80, PRG60, as well as the one in this video and the 1200 and 1500, and im sure there is a couple more.

    *_The watch says Wave Ceptor. In your video you said its a "Multi Band Atomic". A Wave Ceptor isn't a Multi Band 5 or 6 but a Multi Band 5 or 6 is a Wave Ceptor. And whether its a WVCPT or MB 5/6, all are Atomics. A true Wave Ceptor will only receive Signal Calibration from Fort Collins, CO, USA and/or Anthorn, England, UK. Multi Bands receive Signal Calibrations from the former locations just listed, Mainflingen, Germany, Shangqiu City, China, Fukushima and Fukuoka/Saga Japan. If your Casio is Multi Band 5, it receives Signal Calibration from all said locations save Shangqiu City, China._*

      *_Aye Eudtg Laery, Multi Band 5 is on the band. Its a Multi Band as the gentleman said in the video._*

    Awesome vid, I was fortunate enough to find one (no joke) at a local thrift store for $7.00! No manual, of course, but I'm not sure yet if everything works properly on it. This vid helps! Before anyone asks, it is genuine.

    Great watch, thanks for the review.
    I have a PRG40 and love it but I need to move to atomic time-keeping :-)
    Not decided which to go for (PRW-1500-1VER or similar) but I'm looking.

    Actually, I think I have that exact same watch it solar charge it sassy path finder and it's been an excellent watch I've had over 15 years believe it or not accept recently when I put my arm up the lights supposed to come on automatically it comes on but it's very dim and I'm wondering if it's possible to either change the bulb or whatever I do have the watch out in the sun so it's charging okay but I'm wondering about the boat thank you very much

    Is the compass updating "live" as you rotate the watch or does it only change when you start moving/walking ?
    From this video it appears that it is a live indicator, is it the same with all other casio compass functions?
    Thank you.

    If i am away from one of those radio based signal (germany, japan, usa,etc), like africa or Latin america for example, does it mean the watch will calibrate also?

    do I have to be near those cities to receive the atomic clock signal or is it available all around the world ?

  • @rockcrawling43
    @rockcrawling43 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    It receives the time signal by satellite, you don't have to be close to one of the cities.

    Hi TaxOfc741, as you commented here two years back, you can be prefect candidate to answer my question :) Is your watch still working and without changing it's original batteries? I read on many forums/reviews that their batteries are very costly. So wanna confirm before buying. Any other suggestion highly welcome. :)
    Thanks

    Thanks for the video - would anyone know how hard is to replace a capacitor or revive 14 y/o PAW 1400 which served me so well?

      It is very easy to change the battery. Like on every other watch. Nut this one takes a CTL 1620 or something like that. Put a new one and let it in the sun for a couple of hours.

    WIll this watch automatically update when going into different time zones? or does it have a dual time zone feature?

    • @tarheelred28390
      @tarheelred28390 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      *NO!! Its not a GPS watch. But, if you alter the time zone that you're traveling to, your time will be accurate. I presume the World Time would 'act' as Dual Time. On many G-Shocks that are GWs (G-Shock Wave Ceptors, whether true Wave Ceptors or Multi Band 5 or 6), you can press the B or Reverse button and it will display your selected Time Zone preference in the stead of the date that's normally displayed. Press it afresh and you have your date back.*_

      Hi. Thanks for your comment…
      I can’t really say much about the review as it’s 13 years old but it was more of a review than an instructional video and was before my time here operating Watch Report. I am sorry that the video was not helpful.
