I have a 6.25" wrist and the Casio is just perfect for me. Don't need a big men's watch to be a big man... ask anyone who has a Carrier Tank.
I would go for the Kuoe. for the 35mm size 👍👍 very good size and of course beatiful😉 I prefer a dial with texture

Solid list. What about a Timex Marlin? (Personally, I'd have gone for that over the Seiko 5.)
It's a beautiful watch... But it has one of the sketchiest movements I've ever seen. It's about the size of a pea and basically impossible to replace. I'd personally go for any old school 5 over it
Never convinced Casio, especially ones that big.
Very interesting review I would like most of those I’ve just started collecting watches I’ve always had casio started with mdv 107 diver plus a couple of edifice ones I think the build quality is very good for the price are these available from watch nation. All the best.

The Zelos is better quality than the San Martin in the video because it is double the price...
Obviously, but that's why I said for the price. Like pound for pound. Basically, I'm saying the Zelos is still the top dog for me.

With aventurine being cheap as hell, I have a question about watch designs. Why does GPT-0.1 generate images much more creative than "Gold or platinum" kind of questions the industry distracts itself with??
That San Martin dial looks doesn't look at all like a night sky -- more like a piece of over the top linoleum flooring. Far too busy for my taste -- and I'm a space geek too.
this casio tank looks great, but the second hand ruins it, making it look like a toy. I had it removed (2 minutes for any watchmaker) and I've got a perfect dress watch under 100 usd

I got that MTD-130 after watching this channel (available only in black bezel here in India) for under $80 and it has already become my favorite ( it is liked by everyone who has seen it) !
I also have a Duro and MTD-125 and quite a few Enticers under $20 which I like very much. All in all, I’ve about 40 Casios - Digital, Analog, Ana-Digi and G-Shocks - and I’m in awe of their VFM !

It was your review that brought the Casio to my attention. Really wanted one but couldn't find one ANYWHERE at near-retail price in the UK. Ended up picking one up passing through a random airport in the middle east on sale for what worked out at around £40. Sorted 👍 Then put a lovely black-with-green-stripe NATO on it 👌
Bargain!!! I'm yet to have my airport watch moment... Hopefully it'll be my turn soon.

I dare say for the price, that that san martin SN0129GB is impossible to beat the value of. At this specific price point I don’t know of a single other watch that matches the quality. Please educate me if there is!

Love the Kuoe watch brand, just wish their watches were bigger. There only one model that 38mm in diameter, while most are at 35mm. My wrist is big.

Great video. Love the Casio “alpinist” but 44mm….😬. Great comment regarding men’s/women’s watches. “Womens” is synonymous with small/quartz/pink…… No one calls the 36mm explorer a women’s watch…. I’m so glad I’m finding more companies making that mid range more available.

@The_Invisible_Man Obviously save what you can till you can buy even just one half decent one - take your time, choose carefully and you will never regret it..
@The_Invisible_Man You mentioned watches placed at either end of the market -super luxury and cheapo - MY point was entirely about carefully-chosen high grade watches under £1,000 and points at the law of diminishing returns.
Because everything other than the high end brands will depreciate immediately and allot.
There might be about 50 VERY fine micro-brand watches in the £200 to £1,000 price range which suit all tastes - so why go luxury and why go mainstream, why spend more and why spend less ?
Variety, I suppose. Some of the designs from the big brands are super nice! Sometimes, they're worth paying for :)
But generally, I agree with you. Hence why I mostly operate in the sub $1000 range!

I've had a "lady size" Citizen for about 15 years. I recently decided to buy something a bit more manly, but after a few weeks of lugging around a bigger, heavier watch, I have a whole new appreciation for my old one. Everything I need in a small, light package.

The Casio Tank watch would have looked so much better with classic BLUED hands (never turquoise) and a dark leather strap to contrast the dial, in brown or black, not that beigey thing.

I would go with the Seiko tank instead of the Casio. (I have the SUP880).

I have that Zelos but in a Meteorite dial. Ran $629.00. My top grail is my TAG Glass Box (39 mm, 300M , etc.) I have the blue one with the date at the 6:00. The TAG is more than 10 times the cost of my Zelos but I truly love it as much as my Carrera.

I need y'all's job. Here are cheap watches. $600+ well sure cheap compared to a Rolex. And the other 3% of watches. How about quality watches it is the other 97% of watches out there. Like less than the Seiko 5. Which is on the high end for the majority of people.
All these watches are gorgeous! A smaller and thinner watch is what I wear when doing construction work with the dial turned to the inside of my wrist. In compromised situations, I have killed watches when using my watch hand as a dead blow hammer. Now I understand resin, titanium, digital, and shock proof designs. Thank you!
The san martin looks really cool but honest I would never buy a casio like that i can feel the chrome/brass metal from this video....its just a piece of junk

I believed this watches can match the luxury watches
I've never encountered an internal basil that did not have a smooth movement.
Visually, most of them bounce up and down when being turned. I've seen this with 90% of inner bezels. Especially on affordable watches z
San Martin case is a pretty good copy of the Grand Seiko Evolution 9 GMT. Fun Fact: if you google Grand Seiko Evolution 9 GMT in Germany, the San Martin pops up ;-)

A nice selection. The Casio "Tank" looks great, apart from the second hand. The Casio "Alpinist" (also a nice looking watch) is clearly inspired by the Seiko Tortoise, which has the same markers, a much less subtle compass bezel than the Alpinist, and the date at 4:30. The main similarity with the Alpinist is the internal bezel. The standout for me (already having a Tortoise), is the Koue, for it's unique looks.
