One question I have for you regarding Google forms is, is there a way to be alerted whenever someone completes and submits a form?
@Stewart Gauld thanks for your reply. I did a bit more digging and learned that Google Forms actually has a built-in feature that allows for email notification. This is great because I don't have to use any third-party apps!
This video was perfect for me. I'm learning how to use Google Sites for an existing website, as I'm more used to Wix, and this was terrific. There is one question I do have though. Once the form is submitted by an individual it creates a "Submit successful" type of message but it retains the size of the original form. Is there a way to get rid of all the extra blank space once the form is submitted? I can't seem to find an answer about this.

I'm having a weird issue, I've created my website and added a form using your videos and they wirk great, but when i enter the website with my custom domain, instead of the Google sites one, the page with the form doesn't load and throws a 404 error. How do I customize the contact form in order to make the width narrower? seems standard from google site is quite wide betweeen lines and boxes of contact form
@@StewartGauld I mean if you have a google contact form with the boxes name, surname, phone etc., the boxes are very high (a lot of space between last name and first name, adress, telephone). How do I reduce the height / width of all boxes?

Hello Stewart! Thank so much. great video! I have published my site. I have disable my restrictions to prevent auto save for all respondents. So my recipients wouldn't have to sign into a Google account to fill out my form. But there is a saving disabled sign that showed on my preview which you mentioned wouldn't show once website was published, but it still shows. How can get the saving disabled messages removed please?
You can enable notification for gmail. However, all responses can be found in your Google Forms file under responses or inside a Google Sheet if you connect one.

Hi Stewart! I followed your instructions to the letter. But I still can't get my email address to remove from the form. I did go to Restrictions and checked the Disable auto-save, but my email address still comes up on the form. Can you please help!!

All good, I see it showed my email address because I was logged into that account. Checking my site as any view might, my email doesn't show at the top. Thank you for a great video!

Glad it was helpful! Sure is! You can setup an email alert using a tool like Zapier or another platform.

Great demo! How do you collect the data from the Google forms AFTER you have embedded the form at your website? Where does the form data go?
The data goes into your forms backend under responses and also into a spreadsheet that you can export.

That shows if the visitor expands the form. But through imbed, branding on the form does not show.

Thanks! You might just have a strange connection. It should still work, just a preview issue.
I opened another tab and clicked on link it took me to the page and it still had the saving disabled.

Try make your form display larger by dragging out the sides on your page. Let me know how you go.
