Hi, just found you on TH-cam and subscribed. Great stuff! Does Google display ads on the pages we create? What about if we buy a domain name through them and they host it?
Ads are not allowed on Google Sites. Instead use Blogger - which is also a Google Product.
I've been following your channel. And it helps a lot. Thank you for so much useful hacks in Google Sites. One thing I really really like to know: Can you embed a Google sites into another Google Sites? 😊
Unfortunately not. There might be a work around but I haven’t tried to myself

Great info!! How do you make your google site buttons different colors? I thought they were tied to the theme and not changeable?
They are tired to the theme under default. If you change the default color this will change the button color.
@@shedesignsthings Yes. You have multiple button colors. How does that work? I've been playing with it and still haven't cracked it.
@@robertgregg8313 When you add a new button you can change the button type to Filled, Outlined, Text. This will give you different button styles.

i have whole time a white bar in my google site is that normal? i cant remove it i cant fill it. if i add something new (a new block, etc) the white bar goes just a bit down... its direct above the footer and for me it feels buggy. is it possible to remove that white bar or change the color to something?

I like the look of Google sites but I'm also wanting to do a daily blog and use blogger. Is there a way to use Google sites as a blog or should I use two separate but then I want the theme to be the same so is there a way to have it integrated together?
If you use blogger and are generating income using ads, stick with blogger. You can use the full page embed option to add blogger to your google site. It just depends on your needs.

This is amazing! You know Google Sites more than anyone I've seen!😱 I'm combing through your tutorials but couldn't find the Code you mentioned on how to make the Signup Form (Flodesk/Mailchimp/etc) not have the slider on the right.. I cannot get rid of it! Your signup form looks fab! No slider! Can you please direct me where to find the Code you mentioned? Thank you!🌸🙏🌸
It's actually inside your flodesk code. Locate the margins and change the requirements in the margins. I'll try to make a short video explaining this :)
@@shedesignsthings Thanks so much! I think I found the HTML Code "margin" part you are referring to.. i.e. it says: sr-only{position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px;padding:0;margin:-1px;overflow:hidden;clip:rect(0,0,0,0);border:0}
I found out there are 40 "margin" words in the code! Yikes! This is beyond my comprehension. And I don't know what to change in the code at all!😵

I created them. You can create up to five seems per website and import various seems to the Google side panels from other google sites.

Please excuse me for the dumb question but I already added the noto emojis "font" and now I have no idea how to actually use it. Does every emoji have a code or something? Like :) for a smile?
Not a dumb question! Open a line of text - change the font to Noto emoji. Use your keyboard to add the desired emoji by using Windows logo key + . (period) or if you're on a mac Press Command + Control + Space. Keep in mind - not every emoji will work. :)

I have tried adding a lotti files animation using your procedure but it doesn't display after I paste the code into the embed url dialog box.
What would you suggest I do?
It would depend on the file. Without seeing the error I don’t have any suggestions as to what you could do. You can always email me the issue. Or use the anonymous question link I have.
When I uploaded my logo, it's shows a small log. How do I resize it or expand it? When I click "edit logo", it just ask to upload an image. No resizing. I hope you can help
You'll have to resize your logo outside of Google. If your logo is a PNG and you're using a Windows 10 or 11 computer - open the photo in the photos app and select edit. Crop away any excess blank space. If you have no excess blank space your logo is likely too small and you'll need the original logo file to fix it.
hey there....how do you design the background that looks better and what fonts you are using?
There are roughly 3,000 Google Fonts. The fonts in Google Sites may differ from fonts offered on fonts.google.com. My backgrounds are images.

I am really having trouble making my site mobile friendly. How do you do that?
It should be automatically mobile friendly. An exception to this is if you have too many images in places where it should be a different element.

Hello, I've been looking on youtube for a long time how to put buttons with delay on google sites and I can't find it anywhere, could you answer me how I do this? how to put buttons with delay and how to hide the commands of embedded youtube videos? If you can answer me I would appreciate it.

I have not tried either method, but you are free to give them a go and let me know if they work. Another solution is try ChatGPT to write a code for you.

The easiest way to show reviews is to use elfsight. You can also create something yourself using Google Business Profile API.

Google actively blocks pop up’s however. You can only add a pop up to a full page embed.

You can create a custom navigation bar by using the text and collapse text feature or by creating a navigation in HTML and CSS. :) I can make a short video explaining this if you need.

Sure! Much like a link in bio page - the concept is the same. However, features like NFC Tag would need to be created separately.

I do not. This is because you would need to rebuild the site in the language that you would like. This is common practice for large scale companies, but for smaller businesses this would not work. If a person is using chrome they may be able to have the page translated into the language they prefer, but it is not a built in feature.

Depends on what type of navigation you're looking to have. You can link any page to a button, element (image) or text. This is how you can create a custom navigation without adding embed code.
