So true. The incredible amount of talent that emerged in the 70s was unprecedented and has not been duplicated. The greatest bands of rock and roll with the greatest musical virtuosos were everywhere in the 70s. In one weekend, you could see 3 phenomenol bands live. Today, if you see 1 great band every five years, you're lucky.
If I had had the chance to see these guys, I would have picked 73, absolute top of their game and still in love with their creation. Passion, energy, chemistry of the four of them on stage together had to be overwhelming.
Best performance band no doubt. But they had far too much plagiarism in the songs that they claimed to have written. The band was simply not very good at writing original material especially when compared to their contemporaries like the Beatles, Stones and the Who among many others who had little difficulties coming up with tons of original songs. Performance wise they were among the best and all because of the huge musical ability of the individual members.

Hey hey, man, I really dug your reaction to the video and to the song. I’m a huge Zeppelin fan, they’re actually my all time favorite. I could not help but notice that you said it was a live performance over a studio track. No, sir. It wasn’t a studio track. That’s a real, raw, in your ears live performance. You have no idea how great this band was. I was fortunate enough to have seen every live show they performed in New York during the 70's in my teenage years, whenever I see these videos, I pause when they show the crowd to see if I can spot me or my friends. Awesome memories that bring back the old days, oh how I wish I could relive it all over again. All of them !!!
Never thought hip hop would have last this long....yea the legends are all gone.
Brother, you absolutely MUST react to-
•SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU!
Robert Plant wrote this song about the Massive crowds they drew to their shows, as Plant would look out at the Crowd, He said "They look like an Ocean of People".
Truly the "Hammer of the Gods"!!!!!!!!!!
Great reaction,
Every girl wanted em and every guy wanted to be them. Loves of my life. Page and plant omg
I've heard that the reason Plant's blue lady's blouse barely fits is because it belonged to a groupie he slept with the previous night. She probably left the hotel room in a concert t-shirt.
The Gods that walk among us the best band Eva !!
(T)! The Bass Line Terminator, man. Dude, I commented awhile back on your Lemon Song, song reaction that drew like from you. Again, I'm a drummer, but I appreciate your admiration and note the Bass monster, Jonesy was/is. I know you want request but truly my man...check out.. in my time of dying. A bit long of a song but another where Jonesy, brings it. Mucho, appreciation for your spot on admiration for such a tight band. Cheers, brother!!
In my time of dying is next on my list.
