Rory...I love your reaction to this. Even though I've seen it a few times before, it was so much fun to watch it with you and listen to your insightful comments. Rick Beato and you are the 2 reactors who I avidly watch...there are a couple of others from time to time...but always you and Rick. I am not a musician but I have learned so much about music just by listening to both of you. I swear that my hearing has become trained now to pick up the nuances, the modulations, the fills, etc. This is exciting to me, Rory. And both of you have introduced me to bands and solo artists and their music which is new to me regardless of when it was composed. I found you because of my love for Queen (even tho you weren't particularly enthralled at the beginning - that's an understatement LOL) - but what I have received from listening to you is so much more. So..thanks for all that! Rory, if you have a moment, you might want to listen on your own to Rick's tributes to Christine McVie, Chris Cornell and, just recently, Gordon Lightfoot which are beautifully crafted segments on his channel. I was actually going to suggest that you react to a couple of Gordon's songs because Rick's tribute to him reminded me of the exceptional singer/musician/songwriter/storyteller he always was...sigh.....
I love Rick Beato! He has done some amazing interviews and his “What Makes This Song Great” series is a beautiful thing! Been following him for a few years. Great request!
Rick Beato's great - love that Brian showed him appreciation. When you have a knowledgeable musician/music freak interviewing a legend, the dialogue is bound to be terrific! Aside from being a talented musician and producer in his own right, he's a total music nerd who knows his shit about theory and the business overall, as well as a big grunge freak (Chris Cornell is his favorite). He does pretty impressive in-depth musical analysis. I haven't checked out his music instruction courses, but I'll bet they're wonderful. As you can see by him landing Brian May, he gets top notch interviews. His 3-person intvw with Kim Thayil, Krist Novoselic and Jack Endino was epic! The tribute show he and his buddy did right after Chris died was very touching. Rick's channel is probably my 2nd favorite ... after Rory 😊
I love this interview. I follow Rick so I saw this when he dropped, it but it is great to listen to it again. I adore how humble Brian is, it's so refreshing, giving kudos where they are due. None of the members of Queen came from money, they all came from lower middle-class working families. Yes, they all made a lot of money but I think once you get over being spoiled and arrogant, once you actually look at yourself and see how far you have drifted from the person you were raised to be, you revert back into that humble and grateful person and look back at who you had turned into with a good deal of disgust. Today, Brian seems vey much that humble boy that his parents raised him to be.
I subscribed to Rick Beato, he does alot of awesome interviews!! Very interesting channel. He loves the Grunge era and he loved Chris Cornell. Rick knows his stuff by ear. Rick thinks today's music is rubbish also not every band its just most music is computerize and autotuned. I love your breakdown Rory. Its real stories they sing about, LIFE!! Excellent points Rory!! 😊💓🤘✌️Rick also interviewed Matt Cameron drummer of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and Temple Of The Dog.
You said they all come from money. Not true, why do you think Bri had to make his own guitar with his Dad ? Because they couldn't afford to buy a Fender or Gibson. Fred was an immigrant whose family lived in a semi in Feltham (which is where Bri is from too). I don't think Deacy came from money at all. Perhaps Rog did given that he has a genuine double barrelled name, Meddows-Taylor.
Great interview and I love your take on the conversation First off it’s Sir Brian I think you are a little hard on Modern Music although yes charts are pathetic but there are a lot of break bands on the fringe it just takes a little work to find them Biggest setback to people finding new bands are algorithms from Spotify and TH-cam and the like Your comment about Kazoo example of fad is not different British Invasion Conversations about sound for 98% people is redundant because we all listen to MP3 which is compressed Get a good stereo , take out earbuds and listen to music as artist intend Or better still go see some live music from bands on their way up. Last gig I went to cost me $25 and 3 band in small club One of best gigs ever

Rick Beato is amazing !! He knows everything and everyone in the music industry ✌🏼 He’s great musician himself.

Thanks for this reaction
Loved this interview!
I loved this. I really wish you would do a reaction to Days of Our Lives documentary which is mostly Brian and Rodger speaking. It’s fantastic
Loved your reaction to this, thanks!

Rory and Rick are my 2 favorites...in that order 😊

Roger was the same as all the others Meddows is a family name passed down so nothing to do with having money x
Rick Beato loved John Lennon and named his daughter Lennon in his honor 😂✌🏼
Honestly, Brian and Freddie bickered constantly. Yet they were all inseparable.
Great interview and I love your take on the conversation
