What an amazing build so so cool - I drove all around Australia in one of those 60s in 1986 - It was a very serious eye opener .

I’m a plumbing apprentice in Kalgoorlie, we finished up a job at a house once and hat a chat with the clients. they told us about this time somebody saw there old 60 series they used to have and offered them money on the spot for it and told them what they had planned for it 😂 turns out this video is the exact car lmao

How great are the 60 series? They really are tough

The single headlights suit these cars so much better than the twins.
Are the twins supposed to be brighter? Thats my biggest concern but the single headlights look cool@mickwolf1077
I have a 1987 FJ60 myself. I bought it in 1989. Has 165000 miles.
Same color and still original. When people see it they cannot believe paint that old could look so good.
I love when old school meets new school but it all comes together neatly and doesn’t look out of place.
One of the best looking 4WDs I've seen. This vehicles got character.
This guys well done work and you can see what is beautiful work is made them.

Love it. As much as all the repairs and accessories added are so so mint, the V8 brings a warmth that the poor old 2H possibly couldn’t.
I love the 60’s. I had a 1980 beige 4 speed with a 2H and loved it. This is a real impressive truck.

Smashed it out of the park Michael, this is one very cool and exciting build! Love the thought that has gone into this. You have exercised restraint but also had a little fun bringing the 60 up to date where it makes sense. It is going to be exciting watching this fourbie perform in the bush when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. 11/10

One of the best builds I've ever seen, the bonnet looks epic. Only thing I'm not really a fan of is leaf springs.

Great series guys. I had a Sandy 60 for my first car when I was 16 so have a real soft spot for them. This series has inspired me to start planning a similar build! Looks like great work from everyone involved!
Wow! what a great rig.
I had a 6.2L chev in my 75 series with the stock 5 speed and diesel diffs but it was so slow and under powered I could barely hit 100km/h. In low range it could move mountains but driving it on the road every second hill brought you down to 3rd screaming that chev. I ended up taking it out and putting a 292 petrol chev back in and since then I’ve sworn those 6.2L diesels were utter garbage........but seeing this I’m wondering if I didn’t maybe have ratio or timing issues.
Never the less sick build guys great job.

This is an amazing Job.... I love how the Sandy 60 turned out... How i wish i could find someone to work on my vehicle like that...

I miss my fj62 Sahara, it was the best 4x4 for rough terrain, 2”leaf springs with 2”extended shackles front and back, body lift and lock right lockers and 33” tyres , the thing was unstoppable .No so much so on the road though, it handled like a boat.And 30 litres of LPG per 100km got old. Wish I had the balls to spend 50k plus restoring it to this level. I used logic and bought a humble hilux with 20k on the clock.

Awesome, I think you should of kept it 100% Toyota though. I mean specifically, I wouldn't of put a Chevy 6.2 in it.
Absolutely. I don’t like the Chevy decal on the hood most of all. They could’ve used the 5.7L engine from the tundra
Well it already had the engine in it so maybe they just thought it would be easier to go with it rather than spend time deciding what alternative they wanted.
Yep ruined it by using a Chev motor should of used a Toyota 1UZFE
