Gojira is on another level for maiden fans. There was some signs of life, but Joe and the boys are too heavy and technical for the most of this crowd. Great setlist too.

@@attempt58 i don't know if worse is the right term , just different because he is getting older , saw them in may his voice was fine , checked some live from santiago chile few days ago , he was great , maybe not enough rest , air conditioning , weather , tired and stuff affected his voice ,he is just human ..but also the mix of the recording here is pretty bad and dry which doesn't help
@@paulatreides6711 His voice at times sounds like the L’enfant Sauvage era. He is obviously tired due to the weather and conditions, and it being towards the end of the tour. You have to pay attention to the energy he gives while vocalising.. theres some age to his voice but in the past 5-10 years at times, here he had some really good vocals.

Good morning from New England in the States...Overall the band sounds tight as always but I really feel for Joe bc his voice is shot during this performance..But this show was right in the middle of the gruling FORTITUDE tour and they've probably been on the road for 2+ yrs so I can understand how his voice would get worn down... Btw I saw Gojira and Mastodon about 3 months ago in Portland Maine and the band along with Joe's voice were top notch 🤘✌️🧐

I 100% agree. I've seen country and rap concerts that have more energy than this crowd. Gojira made a song (argument could be made to say an entire ALBUM) about protecting and embracing their homeland and they look like they couldn't give less of a shit. Phenomenal set by the band, but highly disappointed in the audience.

I was there, in the middle of the moshpit, everybody around me was full of energy and singing and screaming from the top of their lungs, when the chant started playing everyone sang it nonstop and when they played amazonia everyone cheered, i think the camera here was just unfortunate and wasnt able to capture the best moments

It's interesting to read how polarised people's appreciation of Joe's vocals are. He has great range here. His screams might be different from the albums, but to me it's a great performance. What's more, I really enjoy how forward in the mix his singing is compared to usual. (ex. 22:38 great range and intensity)

I think he might struggle a bit since 2020. But i know he still has 'THIS', for example 2021 bbc live, when he can take breaks and dont have to do almost a 2 hour live show - he is a beast.

Joe's vocals are sounding harsh. Not sounding completely bad, but it sounds like he's hurting himself at times. And overall, I just miss to see Gojira rip the more technical songs of their catalog, but it is what it is

I don't think so, look for the concert in Chile or Argentina and you will notice that it sounds much better, rock in rio was already the third date of the tour and the fatigue is noticeable

Sin embargo, y quizá, esto dejó disfrutar mejor de un espectáculo y sonidos de otro nivel en general. El show de Gojira simplemente de otra planeta, visualidad y musica del mas alto nivel, Maiden pura excelencia, sonido un poco mas bajo, pero de alta calidad y con la escenografía espectacular de las mejores de la doncella. Dream Theater un poco flojito, pero es Dream Theater, la batería la encontré ecualizada a la rápida, y La brie quizá ya no esté ni en las últimas. Sepultura de Kisser, un punto aparte, fueron los primeros, con un sonido totalmente distinto al resto, horrible, como saliendo de un megafono, el arreglo con la orquesta ni un brillo, solo para los creditos.

Voice is bad, they are overplayed, they should make a break. Saw them in Berlin in july, absolut gigantic.
