NICE upgrade. I have a PF30 '16 SuperSix that up until now hasn't given me any issues, but I'm ready to install an aftermarket BB. I just don't want to give up those Hollowgram SI's. Now, if they could just make Hollowgrams in T47? ❤ BB/PF30, 25.2 seat tubes, dropped seat stays... All that is garbage. I called it years ago. I love seeing the big brand backing out of that crud and returning to tried & true standards. All that proprietary tech did was just give them headaches. I wouldn't be surprised if rim brakes made a comeback. I know steel bikes are.
Tip for DYIers, since I didn’t have the tool to screw in the plastic end cap on the shimano crank arm, I just used a plastic tire iron, was wide enough to engage and not slip. Not a question of how much torque to provide, just snug it up. The crank splines are supposed to be greased so it will go all the way readily.
Hey Joey, I hope you have a sec to answer a question. I'd like to do the same thing as you demo'd. The Cannondale I'm working on has a 73 mm BB shell. With the bearings and C clips out, I see a one-piece metal sleeve pressed into the carbon frame. I'm not sure what the best way to approach removing it. I can send images thru a DM if it makes it easier
It sounds like you have a BB30A frame. All you need to remove are the bearings and the C-clips. The aluminum sleeve stays there. If you're going to run Shimano HollowTech II cranks, use this BB: amzn.to/3eKDprv
I have a 2012 Cannondale Caad 10 with BB30 FSA crankset. I want to change to a Shimano 105 crankset, so which bottom bracket would I be needing for my bike to use Shimano 105?
Hi, Is there a reason why you didn't need to use the press on this install compared to the video in 2016 you did on the install of the same wheels mfg bb?
Can this be done to a 2019 cannondale synapse also? I used the adpaters you had in the beginning, and notice my chain line off by a bit in certain gears
don't you want to use a grease that is safe on carbon frames instead of teflon? that evo is a bb30 but why did you use a PF30 instead of BB30 to shimano adapter? are both bb no difference than the other?
I've never had an issue with any type of grease on carbon frames. Wheels Mfg. recommends PTFE grease on the carbon/aluminum BB interface. EVO frames are PF30 (46mm shell inside diameter) and BB30 frames have a 42mm inside diameter shell. They both use a crank that has a 30mm spindle.
“You just gotta feel” respect to this mechanic 👍🏽
Thank you!

So with this I can install my regular shimano crank in a PF30A Cannondale bike???

Going from the standard bb30 and cranks.. is there any issue with the chain line going to a shimano cranks with the 24mm ?

Hi Joey! Thanks for the video! Between angular contact and ABEC-3 bearings, what do you recommend?
I like the angular contact.
Nice video I have a cannondale systemsix with shimano dura ace and what bb du I recommend with ceramic bearing thanks
It depends on the model year and the frame interface. I'd recommend Wheels MFG though... wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets.html
Hi Joey! Great video, I have a Cannondale Synapse 2017 BB30. Which bottom bracket should I use? For Shimano Ultegra. Thanks
The 2017 Synapse uses a BB30a type shell, so you need this one: amzn.to/3nRGA0D There's also a version with angular contact bearings: amzn.to/2SNUmCT
Can this be done to a 2019 cannondale synapse also? I used the adpaters you had in the beginning, and notice my chain line off by a bit in certain gears
hello sir im from ph asking my bb is press fit bb 30 what brand of crankset can fit to.my bb? any recommendation? shimano? sram? thanks in advance

Radiohead is awesome.

Would this work the same with the aluminum version of cannondale caad12 BB?
Wheels MFG makes a different version for the CAAD 12, which uses the BB30A interface that's wider on the non drive side. amzn.to/3mFmKVD
Do that applies to all BB30 bottom brackets on any bike?
Yes, PF30 or BB30
