Thank you for the video. This is why I love the combination cycling a Eurovelo route (like Arnhem Zurich this summer) and then retouring home by train. And enjoy the rout again (sort of). Nice weekend👍🚴♀️🇳🇱🚂
Thank you Johnny for what was (except for the last ninety seconds) a very interesting video. When you got to Innsbruck I was hoping that you would show us the very modern station building and then go outside and show us yet another fantastic transport interchange with lots of buses and trams!
Again such a beautiful journey from start to finish with jaw dropping scenery, I’ve been lucky enough to be part up the first valley with my Italian friend who took me in his car for a Sunday drive. Just so much there i want to see - I’ve passed this video to him to watch, he lives in Mantova
Quite excited to see Innsbruck station as I’m going to be there on my birthday next year (after an afternoon half freezing whilst watching ski jumping).
Next week's video will take a closer look at the station at Innsbruck. I'd the ski jump the one you can see off the end of the platform at the station? Thanks for the kind words and thanks to for watching 👍
I went over this route, there and back in a day in January, and the winter certainly adds atmosphere. You know, i arrived and left Verona at the station, and I also did this trip but somehow, you got views of Verona station that I missed.... looking at my boots again!
Which side of the train would you recommend to seat by to see a better view while heading to Munich from Verona please? I'll take this journey in next month.
There are some really nice railway journey's that can be made around bozen, like the Ritten narrow gauge line (overlooking the dolomites) and the Bozen-Merano-Mals line, with such a a beautiful scenery especially when you get closer to Mals (near the Swiss border).
We have been to Verona and Innsbruck but sadly not connected the two by train. We would love to do the Brenner Pass as it is as you pointed out, beautiful and is a regular line unlike some of the Swiss lines running tourist trains at HIGH prices. We liked Innsbruck and it has the interesting metro-cum-cable car line into the mountains. We also went on a local train to Jenbach then took the Achenseebahn into the mountains and the ferry along the lake and then back..
Thanks John. I did see the Archenseebahn from my train the following day and thought I should return. Thank you so much for coming along on this trip. 👍
What a magnificent train ride Signor Aspirapolvere/Herr Staubsauger. You always entertain us 100%. What type of Interrail ticket do you use Johnny? Is it a continuous one or a set number of days within a period? Looking forward to your next video.
It will be interesting to see how fast will this trip be once the Brenner Base Tunnel opens in 2032. ÖBB has already planned that trains traveling the new Brenner Base Tunnel route from Italy to Innsbruck will travel at speeds to up 250 km/h on tracks in the Innsbruck area, including a new bypass track around Innsbruck itself.
Excellent video and incredible scenery!! Would love to see the route in the winter with all the snow on the ground. The product onboard looks decent but is it style over substance. Do you get any food or drink onboard? Hope all is well, take care
You can pay for food and drink. You can go to the cafe or there is an at seat service. Sadly i fear there is a little too much style over substance at play here... Thanks for watching 👍
Another super watch, thanks! Gorgeous scenery. But what is it about modern train seat design? Those new RJ seats look flat as heck! And the huge winged headrests look claustrophobic to me. As a 6'2 bloke, I'm a bit worried about the seat pitch too! Anyway, looking forward to the next one!
Yes, the seat pitch was quite small for first class and the seats proved uncomfortable. Which is a shame because RailJet seats have always been so good. NonStop Eurotrip did a much fuller review of the train itself, and i tend to agree with all his points.
Anazing route. I do like to keep an eye on my luggage in the racks. But I am not sure about locking the luggage in there. I could see myself failing to unlock the liggage in time. I think it would be better if you could scan your ticket and the locks would automatically unlock at your destination.
Yes, definitely a route for the bucket list. Wrt the locks, i foresee lots of problems. I reckon in the UK some people would find it funny to pass a lock through someone else's handle! I do think it will increase dwell times. But I'm happy to be proved wrong! Thanks for watching 👍
Yes there is. I didn't record it, but there was an at seat service and you could also go up to the bistro Thanks for watching and my apologies for not including this. 👍
These new railjet cars are actually a downgrade from the previous ones and this is all the more of a surprise and disappointment as ÖBB is generally an excellent company.
Please call South Tirol that, not Italian Tirol. Thanks. That 1st class "compartment" is actually the new business class, the worst part of the 2nd RJ generation.
@@JohnnyHooverTravels LOL no I'm not offended. "Italian Tirol" has some logic to it looking at the current situation. It was less Italian before Hitler & Mousollini made lots of German-speaking people move from South Tirol to North Tirol, but my history knowledge does not go further back so I better shut up ;-)
Beautiful- thank you for taking us along on another adventure - the views were great but this high motorway viaducts looked terrifying.
Haha. I suppose when you drive along it is hard to imagine what lies beneath you. I hope it has sturdy crash barriers though!
Thanks for watching 👍
What a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for taking us along Johnny.
You are very welcome Tim 👍
Thank you for another beautiful video Jonny. The Autobahn on a viaduct is certainly something!
Yes it is. I will stick to the train!
Thanks for watching another 👍

Worry not Roger. Next week's video is a departure from Innsbruck 😉

@@JohnnyHooverTravels Thanks Johnny! I perhaps should have said that I was in Innsbruck on May 2nd, shortly after your visit.

Thank you, most enjoyable.
Isn't there a funicular of note in Innsbruck? May we hope for a Hoover-view of that?
Ah sorry. I didn't really spend any time in Innsbruck 🤷♂️
Thanks for watching 👍
Was lucky to have travelled on this line, albeit on a classic ÖBB EuroCity Train. The scenery is so lovely
Yes it is wonderful!
Thanks for watching 👍
Great video. I took this route a few weeks back but in the opposite direction. The service was a Euro city loco hauled service with OBB stock.
Thanks. And thanks for watching 👍
Austria is lovely. Too bad about the uncomfortable seat but, wow, the scenery helps take your mind off that.
Yes you are quite right. The seats did not put me off that much when i was looking out of the window!

I wonder how you feel the 2nd class seats compare to long distance coaches? From @simply railway''s video the new nightjet seats look identical.
I'm not in a position to judge the second class seats as I've not done a long journey sat on them.
