I agree that the second smaller sentiment looks better. However, as some others have mentioned, I wonder if moving the larger sentiment down so that the y was nesting in the leaves would have made the look more cohesive and offset the bigness (technical term) of the happy birthday.
That being said, as you say, nobody’s going to look at the first card and have their whole birthday ruined because a sentiment wasn’t quite right. The thought and the effort mean just as much if not more than the final project.

Both are lovely. I think the bigger sentiment would have looked better positioned a little further down, leaving more white space at the top. More integrated I guess. However as you say: there are no mistakes in crafting! Just opportunities to add glitter, I mean learn and keep on creating 😉

Agreed. I don't necessarily think the stamp was too big, but should have been positioned lower, as the stamp on the second card was. The balance was off, not the size of the stamp. Either way, they're both lovely cards and most people wouldn't notice if it hadn't been pointed out.

Both cards are beautiful, but I agree that the overall ‘balance’ of the second, orange toned card is more appealing. Thank you for the continued inspiration Natasha, I look forward to your posts immensely. 😊

I think with the first, the sentiment just needed to be placed lower to be visually connected to the image, just like the second card accomplished. The concept of both cards are lovely and I will try it out. Thanks for the inspiration.

I like the colors of the second card, but the sentiment on the first card. I have a problem with a lot of white space, when I do it, it always looks unfinished to me, so I start filling in!! Love the fonts on both cards

If you had only shown the first card (Happy Birthday), I would haven’t thought anything was amiss with its design. However, when you displayed the second card, the difference in the size and placement of the sentiment and it’s subsequent balance in the design was obvious and was much more pleasing than the first. I loved how you used both cards to teach us that size, balance, rhythm does make a difference in the finale product. Keep up the good work! I so enjoy learning from you!

Your eye is exactly right. The smaller sentiment looks so much better. I think with the stick it adhesive & the extra cardstock the blue card might also be more costly. Love the look of both though.

I like both cards. I do like the leaves with several layers of cardstock a tiny bit more, although using foam tape is a bit faster. I also think the happy birthday stamp would look better if stamped a bit lower. But honestly I believe many recipients will love either one. Thank you for keeping both cards in the video 👍

I love the fall color one and think I will be doing it with watercolor and some maple leaves die. You can leave the leaves out and make two extra cards with the colored leaves on a white card for a gift set. Put some foil flocks on the white if you don't like a stark white backing. Make the diecut be used like the start of a shaker card.
