Thanks for not editing out the mistakes...we've ALL been there! 🤣 Now I've written "clear" and "white" on top in big letters, but it can still happen...
That’s not what I say 😉! I now make 5/6 of each card design, especially with layers and/or texture paste, so that I don’t panic when things go wrong. It’s like a little production line and reduces waste which I abhor.
I couldn't see the oopsie/s - until I did. A good laugh to start my day. Good on you for leaving it in. I'm off to the craft room to rescue some dry embossed pages that I just haven't felt the love for .... And some inks!
These two cards are just beautiful Natasha and they complement each other with your choice of colours used over the top of the embossing . That is a lovely embossing folder by the way. Thankyou for your sharing your talent with us it's very much appreciated Natasha 🌻
This is such a refreshing new idea using inks! Because of you, I am trying to use inks more. My mom and did this card idea today and she just loved it! A quick and easy card. Thank you again for your ideas!
Amazing. I have to say, I truly admire your skills with a pair of scissors - I can never cut straight by hand and your cuts always look like they were done with a trimmer. That border looks perfect 😊
I was quizzical on the card with the two colors. Of course it came out beautifully!! My eyes constantly were pulled to the the two tone card. Maybe it is the significant difference between the two colors that is so striking. I already had household duties planned for today but the muse calleth! I probably should set an alarm so I don't get lost in time. I have to experiment with different colors. Ah well.... it will be fun. I can vacuum later. Just a short time to feed the soul....
I just love all your cards and ideas Someday maybe I can gbe able to meet you. I enjoy you so much. Your comments and all the different things we can do. Thanks for sharing and being fun
Oh man, that clear embossing powder at the end was such a relatable moment! But you were able to create a beautiful card in the end, as well as exercise your creativity! Amazing job, as usual!!
Perfectly done, love your spirit of determination. Love your video!! Thank you for always having a smile and giggle in your voice. You are very uplifting at the end of the day. Really enjoy watching you create beautiful cards!
Such a fun video and great cards to finish. The colours were fab! I think it is time I got out those embossing folders and had a play! Thank you for sharing your tips and happy accidents with us xx
I’m am not laughing, because I have done the exact same thing! I like to think of it as being conservative & smart, for using all your scraps! I just love your cards-beautiful!
Beautiful cards Natasha. You must stay away at night thinking of new ideas! 😂. I've said it before and I will say it again, you are so very talented and I'm very happy to be following you here and on Facebook. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. X X
Hi Natasha. Wowzer! That blue thinking of you card is gorgeous. I love Altenew's 3D embossing folders. Fantastic video. I agree, we could explore what else works on top of 3D images. TFS. Keep well. God bless. 💙🤗
As always another great idea to use up scraps.. and get more mileage from Altenew’s amazing 3-D EFs!! Thank you for sharing so many terrific ideas!🙏🏼🤗💗🌻
Thanks for your inspiring tutorial. I only have one 3D folder which I have yet to use on a card (the e.f. was a gift in a kit) so I shall use a light spritz of water on the paper to avoid paper cracking. 🇨🇦 Jo
Love how the techniques are same but on different color card stock. It’s so cool that we call them accidents, but I call them redirections. Ended up being a beautiful card. Thank you so much for all your videos.
Tasha, I am SOOO THRILLED that you can laugh with us as you make lil mistakes!! Sometimes I get so frustrated & leave my craftroom for a bit and end up sitting there laughing my fool head off at myself then return to my project & it ends up better.than I expected!!! LOL You are a ROCKSTAR my Friend! Keep em coming Sister! Hugs my creative & crafty Girlfriend XOXOXO
Oh my lol! Was watching the heat embossing and thinking why is it getting darker? I definitely admire your persistence with using that little blue piece! Beautiful cards and love the idea using two different card stock colours. One of my favorite techniques, but realised that I have only ever used white ink for it. Am anxious to try other colours, starting with red for some reason lol.
Enjoyed watching your technique for applying layers with double sided tape. I have been doing this for years, even started doing it on my own. The only thing I do differently is to use a tiny bit of liquid glue on the exposed sticky so I can move it around a little to get it into place. Guess I tend to be a perfectionist-so my friends say. Takes more time, but makes me happy! Love you videos.
Natasha, I did really enjoyed your video, but I have to say that I have made embossing mistakes like that as well, many times. Yes I did get a good laugh, when youtube crafters share their crafting mistakes it does help and encourage to keep crafting. Thank you for spreading the joy and fun of crafting and the mistakes as well.
How very resourceful!!! Well the result was lovely indeed. I have a new way of using up my scraps. I love the blue too. Thanks for all your wonderful videos with easy to follow instructions. Bless you. Pauline xxx
I have been stamping and playing with paper all my life and I gotta give a shout out on the humble sponge. Lots of fancy blenders today, but I never seem to grow tired of the textures you can make with art sponges. Carry on.
What a coincidence, I actually tried this method last weekend with a 3D of shells. I had seen this where you just turned the ink pad over and run it lightly across the embossing. Well apparently my ink pad was too wet because it just totally messed it up so then I used the regular dauber that I normally use on that ink pad and it was still too wet and I ruined another piece of paper. So tomorrow I am going to try your method where I just barely touch an unused sponge to the ink pad and apply to the card. Fingers crossed I'll have a light enough touch that it will do much better. I just can't believe you came out with this within days after I tried this. Thanks for sharing
These weren’t mistakes, that’s creativity! Being resourceful and creative makes wonders and unique pieces 😄 that’s how I explain my unique cards to my kids 😂 they call me recycling queen as I use anything I could make an use from😂
Excellent save, Natasha! You surprised me in an earlier video when you said blue is your favorite color (I can imagine your disappointment when you discovered only partial plus card stock here at the beginning--see why we tend to hoard the ones we like most??), because you generally choose oranges and yellows. These both turned out so beautifully! Thank you for sharing. 💕
Yes, blue is my absolute favourite! I think maybe yellows and orange seems to be really easy to work with other colours, maybe that's why I choose them? Anyhow, glad you enjoyed the video xx Natasha
Definitely not mistakes, just making the rest of us feel like we’re in good company with our crafting trials! And we love you for it 😁 Plus of course we love your cards & those colours are gorgeous!
Natasha, you are a fun filled, real live crafting genius! You embody what real creativity is; taking what you have, thinking outside the box by seeing what isn’t initially there and creating something beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us and reminding us to not only enjoy the creative process but to look at all your materials as opportunity for more beauty! 🥰
Oh, too funny about the embossing powder mix-up. Glad I'm not the only one! I took to the lids of my clear and white powders and wrote in them both, as reading rmthose tiny print labels in the heat of the moment is just too hard! Lovely cards
Hi Natasha, you give the best and most useful tips to make cards. I'm just beginning with this and I've learned a lot looking at your videos.. I live in Belgium, Europe and I'm 65..😅
There both lovely cards there Natasha. I'm going to give these a try. You do amazing work. I don't know how you have the time. X x thank you for your inspiration. 😁
Natasha, beautiful cards.. I remember the spilt colors card technique. I cut up two different colors paper of the same size and puts it in the embossing folder. Great job as always. Thanks for sharing.😊❤
I love how you got everything out of that one bit of card! Well done 😊 you could have tried reheating the clear sentiment then add the white embossing powder and heat as normal as the hot clear embossing would be sticky. Lovely cards as always xxxx
It is absolutely amazing how you can come up with something so pretty and well put together out of nothing. I would be still sitting, on my 5th cup of coffee, ( and maybe my 1st cup of wine) and wondering, "Now what do I do? Will anyone notice?" You are amazing.
Beautiful cards. I have to tell you I have patched paper on backgrounds more times than I can count in scrapbooking and card making. You did a beautiful job.
They both turned out beautiful. Some days we just got to laugh at our stupid self or cry. I’m always laughing at myself.how I manage to get myself into situations I don’t know. [I might have to find an excuse]😅
I have this embossing folder and never thought of splitting it! I’m definitely going to try it! I love your videos and thoroughly enjoy all your awesome tips and tricks!
I can’t count the times I thought I was using white embossing powder but it was CLEAR, but we just kept going. Your card is FANTASTIC, you did a great job. TYFS.
If it was anything except the main sentiment, then I would likely just be able to go with it, and make it work...but nope, not for the sentiment! That needed to be re-done lol!
Another great video and fun techniques Natasha. Just wondering what your favourite blue cardstock is Natasha? Love your sense of humour too - we've all had moments like that!
Natasha your cards are really lovely, and that was a fabulous “ save”. Well done. I do the same. I ask my husband “ can he see anything wrong” with the card, usually the sentiment, on crooked, and he says to me, just give it to someone you don’t like , laughing at the same time, knowing very well that I would never ever, ever do that. 😂😂😂
Natasha, those are such gorgeous cards, love how you just came up with this idea out of the blue. That slate card stock and white I k, is my absolute fave. I can understand why you would be sad to run out of that shade. Brilliant!
Amazing! I laughed with you, not at you. Great technique. I've tried it before but I think I was a little heavy handed. Thank you for sharing once again. Take care and stay safe.
Hi. Both are looking looking cards ( maybe sit down for this 😂) and this time I can actually pick out a favourite! It's the second one due to it not only being remarkably eye-catching but it's an outstanding testimony to your ingenuity, frugality, determination and craftsmanship. BRAVO!!! Thank you so very much for such an enlightening and entertaining video.
Those cards are so simple and beautiful! It's so nice to see other people mistakes. So frustrating when you run out of a paper and your project is almost finished, but you definitely made it work. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks for not editing out the mistakes...we've ALL been there! 🤣
Now I've written "clear" and "white" on top in big letters, but it can still happen...
As the famous Bob Ross used to say: no mistakes, only happy little accidents! 😊❤️
That's a great quote to remember, thank you Melissa :)
Totally agree
My favourite is, “There are no mistakes in crafting….only opportunities for embellishment”.
@@princesslola55 ,exactly. I always say oh ok happy accident
That’s not what I say 😉!
I now make 5/6 of each card design, especially with layers and/or texture paste, so that I don’t panic when things go wrong. It’s like a little production line and reduces waste which I abhor.
I really love watching your videos especially when you show us your thought process, mistakes and all! Final product it always beautiful!
LOL, I'm so happy I am not the only crazy person who wants to get things done white just enough paper ;-). Thanks for sharing your creativity!
I couldn't see the oopsie/s - until I did. A good laugh to start my day. Good on you for leaving it in. I'm off to the craft room to rescue some dry embossed pages that I just haven't felt the love for .... And some inks!
When I make a mistake it turns out looking really good so don’t worry about when u make one
My father used to say, where there is a will there is a way. You fixed that background perfectly. Love all your videos.
Amazing. I have to say, I truly admire your skills with a pair of scissors - I can never cut straight by hand and your cuts always look like they were done with a trimmer. That border looks perfect 😊
oh i love the two tone...so pretty. i may bring my folders out...my paper always cracked and stopped using them...tfs:)
I was quizzical on the card with the two colors. Of course it came out beautifully!! My eyes constantly were pulled to the the two tone card. Maybe it is the significant difference between the two colors that is so striking. I already had household duties planned for today but the muse calleth! I think the dark blue card is absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing your talent.
It is so satisfying when you do manage to use every scrap of a paper. I consider it a challenge sometimes.
Love both cards but will try the second one today. l need a birthday card and this style is perfect for the recipient.
Enjoy your crafting time Jocelyn! Let me know how it turns out :)
Beautiful cards Natasha. You must stay away at night thinking of new ideas! 😂. I've said it before and I will say it again, you are so very talented and I'm very happy to be following you here and on Facebook. Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. X X

I totally agree with Melissa!! You did such a great job adapting!!! Well done!!
You never cease to amaze me when you make your cards. I'm so impressed. I love watching you. My favorite person to learn from.

I like the techniques that you used. There are no mistakes, your card is unique ! 😊
Gorgeous cards! I've just bought some new embossing folders so I can't wait to try this. TFS!
I have been stamping and playing with paper all my life and I gotta give a shout out on the humble sponge. Lots of fancy blenders today, but I never seem to grow tired of the textures you can make with art sponges. Carry on.
That idea is fabulous and definately a quick and beautiful way of making the card.
I love your creativity!! You always make the best of your mistakes & I appreciate the reality of it.

That's actually a great tip! I need those kind of handy hints in my life!
I label everything lols, in black Sharpie because I take off my glasses to see and then find that I can’t read the tiny writing 😅😅😅
Hi Natasha, you give the best and most useful tips to make cards. I'm just beginning with this and I've learned a lot looking at your videos.. I live in Belgium, Europe and I'm 65..😅
Hey Natasha! I love the white on the blue card stock! TFS Hugs!
Delightful cards-fabulous techniques! Thank you Natasha!
There both lovely cards there Natasha. I'm going to give these a try. You do amazing work. I don't know how you have the time. X x thank you for your inspiration. 😁
Very pretty! You are definitely not alone in your white/clear embossing mishap 😬
I just love the white pigment ink on the dark cardstock embossing! ❤
I'm going to try that. I've never seen that done till now. I'm really impressed. Thank you for something new I can do to my cards.
Natasha, beautiful cards.. I remember the spilt colors card technique. I cut up two different colors paper of the same size and puts it in the embossing folder. Great job as always. Thanks for sharing.😊❤

Natasha, What lovely cards!! You are so very creative!!
I LOVE embossing folders! You've inspired me to get mine out and "reinvigorate" them!
I love those cards! Especially the second!!!
I love your creativity and all of your videos. Thank you
Really enjoyed this video - love the technique and both cards are absolutely stunning 🌻🌻
Natasha your cards are really lovely, and that was a fabulous “ save”. Well done. I do the same. Omg Natasha I did the same thing with the clear embossing powder not to long ago. I absolutely love your cards.
Such a simple technique, but with stunning results! Thanks for sharing.
looooove your creation Natasha...thank you for sharing with us
This is just an awesome idea Natasha 💕. I love the colours thank you for sharing 🤗
Natasha, those are such gorgeous cards, love how you just came up with this idea out of the blue. That slate card stock and white I k, is my absolute fave. I can understand why you would be sad to run out of that shade. Brilliant!
Love these and love your use of the last bit of navy card stock. I do the same thing …as well as accidentally using clear embossing powder…oops!😅❤️
Amazing! I laughed with you, not at you. Great technique. I've tried it before but I think I was a little heavy handed. Thank you for sharing once again. Take care and stay safe.
Well done!! Beautiful card and you are so resourceful! Thank you!!
