In the top 3, they all did very well but India nailed it. But if beauty and over all impression, the crown should go to Carolina Gomez. She is the prettiest and she is also very intelligent but India's eloquence edged out Miss Colombia.

Slovak Republic struggled with English and the question she got was way ahead of the times considering the country she came from. Her answer was humble. Miss Philippines said she would be superwoman with a deadpan smiling face. Not convincing enough. Miss India spoke from the heart. No pageant patty answer. Miss Venezuela gave the best answer. Period. Miss USA spoke about education and she knew what she was saying but it sounded too cliche..
Slovak Republic spoke lots of languages, Italian being one of them. I know those interpreters and that guy does not speak Slovak...now, the question is, why was he the one chosen to interpret when there was previously a woman who spoke Russian and translated better?

But she answered pertaining to everyone in terms of telecommunication etc. to bring world together. Where is the subject there which will highlight "Woman" ? hmmm...something not on point there. No doubt they ranked her #1 when the judges cast their votes.Sushmita’s answer to the final question could’ve swayed a couple of more judges to rank her 1 or 2, thus giving her the lowest score to win.
Colombia she did pretty well this round moreso she can speak English. Unlike Venezuela usually interpreters do Venezuelans justice. Truth is most Venezuelans in miss universe can't speak English if they do speak English it'd be a minority a rare occurrence not majority as most of Venezuelan contestants cannot speak English whatsoever.
I would NOT have put Miss India in the final three much less the winner. My final three (when I saw this live) were Miss Columbia, Miss Venezuela, and Miss USA, with Miss USA winning it. Yes, I'm definitely a Lu Parker fan; she has been and is continuing to do so much good.
Exactly. Back in 94 and today, I felt Miss India was not one of the best for overall performance and presence, and her top 6 answer was not great. USA should have been in her place. I even put Slovakia ahead of her in the top 6 round, because of her refreshing quality and beauty. In Miss India's interview and top 6 / top 3, it was too much as if she was digging through a mental file of answers, which was what Indian beauty queens were known for and became a stereotype of, back in the 90s and 2000s.
Too bad ..Miss India was very Intelligent at 18 with lots of grace ,poise and humility .Your choice did not count since you are not a judge and your biased opinion does not qualify .We all were there to watch and its Miss Sushmita 's poise and class and beauty that made her win..At 18 her maturity and Intelligence outclassed your irrelevant choice .If you closely follow her today she is the only winner that has practiced what she said in the final 6 interview segment by adopting 2 beautiful girls ...She is the rightful winner .
I saw miss India while rounding the tv stations for the miss universe and I was impressed how she speak English that's why I was not surprised when she was the first one to be called in the top 10!

I think the judges changed their minds.. Greece looks tired too on finals night maybe because she spent a lot of preparation for her preliminaries
