I'm of the age where I first really saw him in this and when I see him in other things I have to remind myself he's probably a normal human being in real life and not a loathsome, conniving idiot :-D
The satisfaction of this episode. The satisfaction we've all been waiting for since we first got to know Marsh. This is why Season 5 is not canon to me.
ATTENTION: If you've made it this far then you have 3 options.. 1. If you side with the erks and want closure with Marsh then go no further, this was supposed to be the last episode, you've got the satisfaction of the boys winning, job done 2. If you side with Marsh and are fine with him coming out on top (asbestos) and don't mind Robert Lindsay being replaced then carry on 3. (my preferred method) If you are just happy to see it through but find a new Jakey and Marsh winning annoying then try having a break from it then resume watching it as an entirely different show with familiar characters
Lindsay had to leave before series 5 as he'd signed on to his own sitcom (Citizen Smith) which then led to stardom. The show wasn't the same without him, although the final series isn't bad. Selby was excellent but even he must've been getting tired of playing an unsympathetic role which was 100% conceitedness, as he was a good character actor.
This Is How Get Some In! Should’ve Ended Because To Me Corporal Marsh Was Demoted To Aircraft Men For Cheating On The Nursing Exam And Reunited With His Wife Alice Marsh And Gets Posted To Labrador While Ken Richardson Jakey Smith Matthew Lilley And Bruce Leckie Got Their Own Postings To Malta And After Watching The Final Episode I Thought To Myself This Is The True Ending Of Get Some In!
A brilliant end to the series with the last performance with Robert Lindsay...The next series is entertaining but not the same ...like minder without Dennis Waterman.
looks like that was meant to be the end of the series. They must have decided to wring a little bit more money out of the idea after this and go for number 5..
@@Royanexus6 true. They send the lads off to a nice overseas posting, all ends well- new series, they are back where they started with Marsh leering over them, with his stripes back. At least one of the actors had sense enough to call it quits after number 4.
@Howard Six By Gad, you are sharp. I missed that entirely. I went back and looked at it in detail, and I'm dashed if you're not correct. Well spotted. I remember a time when I had such keen eyes. Life will pull it's jolly japes though won't it! Had 20/13 vision once, now, if I take off my glasses, I can't bloody find 'em!
John Edmonde & Bob Larby were really cool clever writers. Writing from real experience in National Service gives huge gravitas to the wit & humour. Forget all politically correct bollocks and just enjoy a good laugh at a comedy gem. Something that doesn't happen with the so called crappy sitcoms of now, what do you reckon 3 F Smifff!!
So it doesn't get taken down. I've noticed if a series is too popular, some greedy company/consortium i.e Giri, they bought the rights to hogans heroes. Greedy ffing bastards!!!!!!
It's needed now to bring the ferals into line.... I loved my time in RAF and it taught me so much about myself... Basic Training was a challenge I accepted and our fight won all but one Cup at Swinderby... I wouldn't let them beat me..
A dumb idea. The military have standards that the majority of today's youth couldn't possibly reach. It would take three to four times as long to work the selfishness and entitled attitude out of them before they could even begin to instil a modicum of discipline.
4.10 mins in. How topical, Marsh pulling the race card 😂
Nowadays would be much easier far more would be in
Fantastic. I'm laughing so much. I only discovered this programme yesterday.
Tony Selby is a superb actor, I've seen him in other programmes and he's nothing like Corporal Marsh.
I'm of the age where I first really saw him in this and when I see him in other things I have to remind myself he's probably a normal human being in real life and not a loathsome, conniving idiot :-D
Thats called------- now sit down its going to utterly shock you to your core
ACTING
Naafi beer freshly squeezed from the camp cat
He is a superb actor. I absolutely hated his character.
I first saw him as a shy PO with a problematic wife in “Warship”, it’s quite a shock seeing him as Corporal Marsh!
This should've been the series finale!!!
I Agree
Yep, I agree. Although Series 5 had its moments it felt laboured and the loss of Robert Lindsay was always going to be insurmountable.
"Don't miss!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Corporal Wendy was fantastic! Reminds me of a female WO who always had a wheeze up here sleeve..
The satisfaction of this episode.
The satisfaction we've all been waiting for since we first got to know Marsh. This is why Season 5 is not canon to me.
"Doing a bit of sewing Perce?" Lol
It would have been nice to see him really get his comeuppance.
Haha, the only time I didn't fast forward from part one to part two.
Brilliant! Brilliant! This is really an example of the insane British infatuation with the class system.

Sounds like good advice 👍

Were you not taught the correct use of capital letters during your schooling?
Cpl Wendy looks like Matthew Lilley's sister.

3 F's 😂
There are leftists.
Bring back national military service for all .
Vote Tory 😂
Does that mean older people and rich people and retired people even disabled people idiot
I'm afraid it wouldn't work, majority of folk would be fighting against the system.
