@@raptorsrepublic @samson folk the celtic played like ass and raptors won. its like the sun shining on the dogs ass twice a year. if they had beat a celtics team that had played well thats one thing, but beating a off night celtics team that played with their food and lost is not something to look at and laud as some turning the corner.
5:48 - Scottie's first half was like a tutorial for Mogbo. I think that's the way Darko envisions Mogbo's future, so that video is a great learning tool.
Samson, you got to hit the "L" a little more when saying "floorplay" :P Also I like MLB free agency. If the rules still stand if a team signs a player of a certain salary range they forfeit a "compensation" draft pick to team the player is departing. Imagine the Clippers giving up a 1st rounder to the Raptors for signing Kawhi
We all remember Grady making huge impacts on this team then suddenly playing like he’s not happy - clearly something is being sorted out but I agree his play-making potential is pivotal. Gotta complete the perfect tank somehow so it should all workout.
Please do a show to address the following issue with the rebuild. That is, no matter how good at scouting and development a team is, they lack the necessary number of first round draft picks to actually make this rebuild timely in any way. I feel they are risking Scottie becoming disgruntled by the end of his rookie extension. I'd trade Poeltl and RJ to acquire a cache of 1st round draft picks while they can. A Poeltl trade almost guarantees a tank this year and maybe next. I'd trade IQ due to lack of defense but they screwed up with the price of his extension. Here is what I see should be a big wake up call, the list of teams with multiple 1st rounders in the next several years (covers Scottie's extension): 2025: Brooklyn Nets (4), Oklahoma City Thunder (3), Utah Jazz (3) 2026: Oklahoma City Thunder (2), Philadelphia 76ers (2), Toronto Raptors (2) 2027: Utah Jazz (4), Brooklyn Nets (3), Charlotte Hornets (2), Houston Rockets (2), Oklahoma City Thunder (2), San Antonio Spurs (2) 2028: Charlotte Hornets (2), Chicago Bulls (2), Philadelphia 76ers (2) 2029: Utah Jazz (3), Brooklyn Nets (3), Houston Rockets (2), Portland Trail Blazers (2), Washington Wizards (2) 2030: All teams projected to have one pick. 2031: Brooklyn Nets (2), San Antonio Spurs (2) That list should make obvious that the FO likely held on far too long, after 2019 and didn't sell high, all the while over valuing their players. Look at OKC and the Spurs, who are all ready talent rich and still getting a major infusion of talent. Raptors can't come close to touching that infusion of athletic talent. Hidden gems are a joke compared to those numbers. Sure not every 1st rounder will be a great but numbers slant the odds.
With all respect, it's basically impossible to create a contending team with any number of same year draft picks in a short time frame. The jump from college to the NBA is huge, and all rookies need experience to make the leap. Keep in mind that half of all lottery picks are out of the league within 5 years.
Raptors play better without Quickley. Gradey and RJ gel better and Scottie is great at setting the table for his mates. Quickley holds the ball too long. He is not a PG. he should get open to shoot

Great pod samson and tre
Tre has that gothic Nosferstu lighting
I'm just happy he's not only backlit these days. I can finally see the man make his pronouncements.

You are so funny! I was laughing quite a bit. The best part of your show is your chemistry.

I would count Rondae as a free agency win. Not a home run but a solid single or double.
You really sold me on the chris Boucher trade away... and I never ever wanted to trade him out. But he's earned a trip to a chip.
2 GAME WINSTREAK 😤

Love these pods, even with the dumbassery. Thats my dumbass! 4 game streak lets go!
Lmaooo Samson thinks he’s me. I JUST got comfortable with the idea of us tanking all the way to a top 4 pick. I’m so conflicted smh
twins!
Does DeMar count as a free agency win? Or was that too similar to an extension (I don't remember if he was a restricted or unrestricted free agent)
I guess for that matter, re-signing Lowry as well?
Might have to use Quickley to help get SGA! This is a MVP plays where he wants era
Anybody who would let SGA go would be out of their minds, and I have a feeling Sam Presti isn’t.

Harper past 3 games have not been great and Bailey is coming on as well. Illinois pg is interesting too
negativity influences winning apparently

This podcast is dumb, peanut punch is fine, but sorel soda's where it's at, I won't like and subscribe until someone agrees with me.
