- Luke is at NRAAM 2024 in Dallas Texas checking out the Fusion Firearms booth and their brand new 2011 style pistol that takes Glock mags. The Fusion Firearms 20X11 pistol is currently available in a 4.5” model but will soon be expanded to include 5” variants. Each 20x11 is compatible with Glock OEM and aftermarket 17 sized magazines and retails for about $1,100 making it a more affordable option for those seeking a 2011 style pistol.

Me: Mom, can we have Platypus?
Mom: We have Platypus at home.
We have Platypus imported from Turkey
@@texasranger24 The Turkish import thing is what makes this a no go for me. If Fusion was able to make a 2011 in house with no MIM parts and have it come in for a lower price than a Prodigy, I'd be interested. Right now, the entire 2011 and 1911 market is being invaded by Turkey and it's both lowering the price and ruining the reliability. Race to the bottom.
@@roaringsteelmedia I dunno about their 2011s but the Caniks actually run. I have ran the piss out of my Rival and had literally zero malfunctions with it. I'm around 7,000 rounds deep on mine but there are lots of competition people who have way more than that. I'd like to see how their 2011s play out, so far they seem subpar but I haven't seen anyone complaining about reliability specifically. More so bad triggers, poor texture, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if they're not reliable but Tisas has made some OK single stack 1911s in the past from what I've heard.
@@armorers_wrench but Canik took a while to get there. Just like Holosuns are great these days. Foreign companies need time to double down and go from cheap copy to market leader in affordable, foreign made stuf. And i'm not sure this one is there yet.
@@roaringsteelmediahe literally said every single part is milled barstock not stamped MIM
Funny how ever knew we wanted this for years. 1 company finally does it, and bam the next year everyone does one.
These are just ERMOX 2011s from Turkey being imported by Fusion Firearms.
Had to look them up but you're right. Kind of disappointing, I was hoping for a cool and functional American made 2011 for us poors but nope. I'm still curious to see more of this gun though. That grip just looks huge though...
Correct. You can tell by the serial number
Recently here in Germany, inexpensive but still good looking 1911s popped up made by "Messerschmitt". Never heard of the company in the gun world. Turns out they're just rebranded TISAS. Disgusting.
Turkey doing turkey things.
Aren't the semi auto shotguns from turkey essentially coming to market the same way?
@@mghegotagunyes but turkey handguns are good and the shotguns are bad

“Thanks mom…..”
2025 Shot show: The Year of the Glock-mag 2011
The more the better. Guns that take glock mags, that have better grip angles, will always have a market. Who wants to buy 10-20 2011 mags?
OEM in the background yells loudly that this might well be a turkish import
"2 innovators, 1 pistol"
"Ermox. Fusion Firearms."
Ermox is a Turkish brand.
Oh good, it's gonna be affordable then
This is the regarded inbred cousin of the Stealth Arms Platypus.
YOU WILL NEVER GET THIS YOU WILL NEVER GET THIS
And then one day he get this
Bob Serva is Da Man At Fusion!!!!
Thank you for importing an "optics ready" handgun that has the necessary plates that come with it to truly make it optic ready. More than I can say than my Dan Wesson Specialist, that claimed it was optics ready. I have the optic, but since they released the handgun and didn't bother making the necessary plates readily available or included, it is in fact NOT optics ready.
I love Luke. Romantically. I wish he would do more vids like hop and james
I'll stick with the Stealth Arms Platypus!
I've spent entire days playing with custom designs on their website. Someday I'll get around to one.
@@chzzyg2698It’s worth it. They’re amazing guns.
The Platypus is really cool but this is going to come in quite a bit cheaper and without the crazy long (but totally justifiable) lag time of the Platypus
Sounds like one of the few 2011s i might be interested in.
Wait until palmetto starts making cheaper versions that do the same thing.
Check out new honest outlaw review about palmetto garbage. You get what you pay for
2:33 everything?!? Barstock machined? No MIM'd parts?
This is sick!! This might be my first foray into 2011’s since 2011 mags are insanely expensive, I already own a shit ton of Glock mags, and I live in a limited state so 2011 limited mags are just ridiculous to obtain.
Check out the Stealth Arms Platypus. Most customization, and they were doing it before these guys. Beautiful pistols built to order.
Yes me too LAND OF JELLY BELLY
Interesting. 1/3 or even 1/4 of the price of the premium 2011’s and takes Glock mags? Maybe…

Cool! Does it take Glock mags?
🤣
Ur m o m does
I'mma need PSA to make a Dagger 2011 that takes Glock mags now for like $599-699 MSRP haha
Review this gun very soon! Once they start releasing other variants they will have an amazing product for the $ especially in the 2011 department.
Taking Glock mags opens up a world of convenience and compatibility.
I have run the dog shit out of my Caniks thinking they were going to be cheap Turkish trash a few years quite a few thousands of rounds later i appreciate the few quality pistols that are coming in at decent price points ... The hard part is the trial and error to figure it out
I LOL when I read someone thinking they got a good deal @ Caniks
@@DinoNucciif you’re the only one laughing, is it really funny though? 😂
Caniks are pretty legit and have been for a long while.
I have my platypus, im good on a glock mag 1911 ds. Also have a prodigy that I got for around the same price, and 2 Tisas ds 1911s that combined are about the same price. Mags aren't that bad, i've found 20 round prodigy mags for about $30 out there. id go with the Mac 9 over this personally, considering you can get it for around $800 or so if you look around and are patient.
I see three different trigger styles between the two on the cardboard display and the one in hand.. do we get to a choice?
When I stopped by, they said they were still deciding to go with a flat or curved and that they were still working on the red dot plate designs. In the video they said that they are using the prodigy plates but when I talked to them they said they were still working on it..... who knows. Either way it felt awesome in the hand and I will be getting one when they drop.
love me some chrome
When will it be available?
Excited to review this
I'm sorry I'm not sure I heard you right. Trevon?
Treven says it on his nametag
guessing everybody knows this is the imported version that we saw last year from turkey. I still like the idea and pricing isn't bad so who knows. plus, Glock mags are being used for all sorts of stuff I don't own a Glock but have serval mags for an ar9.
Happy stick in a 2011
Is the frame polymer or aluminum ?
God rest tfbtvs soul
Just asking. What's the frame material of 20x11 pistol?
Aluminum
is this what finally drives people get to 2011s?
I want it..
oh wow
Is that HD from Q at 5:07 😅
Do these come in 10mm?
Where can you buy this? I tried searching the web and nothing came up
For everyone in the comments trashing this pistol. I stopped by there booth and spoke with them. They said they were codeveloping the pistol with Ermox. Also on the flyers they were handing out it says 2 innovators one pistol and has Ermox and Fusion on the flyer. I felt it and it was smooth as butter and trigger was awesome. If it functions well its going to be an awesome pistol for the price.
Ermox already developed it and presented it at IWA. I am not sure what Fusion has added to the mix other than importing and probably marketing. Maybe they will further develop the 5" models but this current one is not theirs.
when?
Pretty disappointed hearing from Ermox at IWA thinking they were going to keep it under a 1000.00. They team up with Fusion and there goes that idea. I was excited because I love my Xfire and wanted this gun but not so much now. I mean I can get a Girsan 2311 10mm for less.
I’m sure you’re an awesome guy but I prefer Hop 100 times over!! Haha 😂🤷♂️
Now make one compatible with shield arms mag to make it carry friendly
Are there holsters for it?
Bad ass. Drop a RDS on it and its gonna be sweet.
TH-cam is redirecting clicks to a support page, with no 'back button' option. It's only happening to gun content. Thought you would want to know.
Love to own one, please put it on the Commiefornia roster....thx.
Sneeze 🤧 “platypus “
Well that didn't work out to well now did it?
Is the grip profile a Glock or 1911 profile?
Takes Glock mags. It doesn’t look to be a 1911 profile.
This is cool but for like $1,300-1,400 you can get into the Stealth arms platypus.(if you don’t go crazy on the configuration)
And in 5 months they will have it sent to your FFL

Tactical 2011 longslide in 10mm.......you know there is a market.
Using Glock mags is brilliant. Just don't go messing around with 22-degree grip angles. I'm not trying to hit birds.
Doesn't using Glock mags cause the already beefy grip of a 2011 to be even bigger around? Very cool gun!
Probably, I put the platypus in hand and it was just simply too big my medium sized hands.
2011 mags are bigger than glock mags
@@brandon4383. yes.
@@brandon4383. The steel wall 2011 mags are wider than the thick plastic Glock mags? Do the steel mags have more capacity?I've never compared the two in my hands at the same time so I'll take your word for it.
@brandiwynter the walls are not thicker, the mags are just longer front to back hecause they are designed to also feed .38 super. Staccato does make a pistol that uses a proprietary mag that is sized for 9mm and those mags are a lot smaller but its not a standard 2011
A grand for a rebranded turk gun? 🤣
Nope! 1100 bucks for a rebranded turkeycrap wanna be. 🤣
Love Fusion 1911’s, don’t love Fusion customer service…
Fusion 1911s are Trash.
When they make one that's under 1000$, I'll give a shit
Until then I'm just going after the Platypus, seems way better and you can personalize it. Is it over 1000$?
Yeah, but with what you can get out of it, it's well worth the price to me
Also just from looking at the two, the Platypus even just looks more reliable
And theyre honest too
Unlike these guys, trying to pass off an import as if they made it
Fuck that company
Doesn’t make sense. You want it to be under 1k but you’re also saying you’re looking at a gun that costs 500 more. At that point just buy a Bul Armory 2011.
@@unixfool 500$ more, and it comes with complete customization. You can't get that anywhere else. I'm sorry you don't understand

So not 45acp yet. Platypus still winning
You cant even give that to Stealth Arms because they wont drop the new calibers.

Nice beards guys, that is all! ERMOX, I like it!
I bought a Fusion 1911 and I can honestly say that it was the worst gun that I have ever purchased, and I can't imagine that this one would be any better. The only way to make it work correctly was to replace all the internals with Wilson combat internals.
I think id rather have the Oracle that runs sig 320 mags
lol id rather pay 1500 and get a stealth arms platypus and have a better custom pistol lol.
For a few hundred dollars more you can just get a stealth Farms platypus. Seems like a no-brainer. Respectfully, of course.
$500 more is not really “a few”. Besides, at that price point, there are better handguns, some of them being legit 2011s.
Glock mags will make the grip too wide.
I like how the mags dont seat easily and dont drop free. 💀 just get a glock.
Or you could just buy a Platypus and get a gun that's made by a company that makes working guns....
The glock mags are the worst feature. Stop it.

Turkish pistols are surprisingly good quality but I'm still really tired of them saturating our markets so densely. It seems like half of every display case is full of Turkish stuff now.
Stop complaining I remember the days before Glock was even introduced and Colt was about the only option for a 1911. Be thankful for all the selections and offerings now at reasonable prices.

with proper 2011's like tisas for 800 i dont see how these will compete
